Marco.

Marco stood in the middle of the old battleground, shoulders squared and tense, digging deep into the earth. The field was covered in several holes, some of them better covered than others, some still open to the warm air of midday, at top the squares of stirred earth stones and carefully cut wooden sticks stood proudly; a marking. Graves. Marco was digging graves for their fallen brothers, must have probably been at it for those two entire days given how many Izo could count.

This moment, now, surrounded by death, weak and vulnerable, it felt much the same. The difference being in whose fingers curled around his strands of hair, he supposed. Laios’ hands didn’t hold the same tenderness as Falin’s; not that he expected them to. They were a little bit clumsier and he could feel the blonde man undo and redo some parts of the braid when he considered them a little bit too loose; they still felt just as comforting.

Laios’ touch was a little bit more wandering as well. He spent more time curling his hair around his fingers, tugging every now and again and caressing his scalp. Toshiro could feel the other man kneeling behind him, he’d heard the armor clank a little bit as he’d lowered himself.

“Alright… It’s done!” Laios announced. The pride coating his first announcement souring as he continued speaking. “It’s not as neat as the one Falin or Marcille make but I think you look good, Shuro.”
