I should relisten to Old Gods of Appalachia. I think I need some grim, fucked up comfort media at the moment. For as grim and fucked up and cruel as it gets it’s always kind. And I appreciate that. Narrator’s really said “You can’t change what happens next or undo the damage, but it’s always possible to stop it happening again and you don’t need to be alone.” It’s such a kind and empathetic show. You could make it without it and it would still be fantastic. But seriously, it’s always the moments of people showing kindness and empathy to others even if there’s nothing they can do to change anything that always gets me.
Exclusive: Discworld TTRPG in the works by studio behind Fallout wargames
Modiphius, the studio responsible for tabletop adaptations of Star Trek, Fallout, and more, is working on a Discworld TTRPG.
Having secured the rights to the beloved series with an agreement from the late author Sir Terry Pratchett's estate, Modiphius is already at work on a Discworld roleplaying game "around the city of Ankh-Morpork and the wider Disc." This will hit Kickstarter later in the year.
This is part of my ongoing Discworld jacket embroidery project. Of course Great A'Tuin has to be on there. And of course it has to be the biggest one of them all.
I'm going to put the finished product in my masterpost, but I'm so proud of the thing that I have to put it in an extra post beforehand. Enjoy!
I do think that William 'I only tell the truth' de Worde and Moist 'I only tell lies' von Lipwig are physically incapable of being im the same room. There is a forcefield.
Announcing the theme for Terry Pratchett Day 2024: START IN THE WRONG PLACE.
You'll hear people say time and time again that you can start anywhere with Terry Pratchett's work, but don't start in the right place*, so let's truly embrace the joy and chaos to be found in the many routes through Discworld and beyond.
We will be making Sunday 28th April, Sir Terry Pratchett's birthday, one brimming with bookish delight, celebrating the many ways we love and travel through his work, and we're inviting you to join us.
Follow along with The Terry Pratchett Estate to stay up to date. We will be sharing more ahead of the weekend on how to get involved.
*A lot of people say the right place is anything but the right place, which in turn, may make it an equally wrong place...
Wait a second I'm going to shapeshift into a murderous walking chest but hear me out. How about a Luggage but not with legs like these*
But more like these
(sorry for the shitty drawing I'm at work)
He would be fucking hot and scary and he could literally pierce armor with this inner power of his and you could set a thirst trap with these supermodel legs and fuck-me-shoes.
