Maybe. D'you really think she'll want to, though? I mean, she mostly pokes fun of me. And I'm almost twice her age. It'll be awkward if I go to her party after getting turned down by her I don't like awkward situations they make me look bad.

Even if she still seemed a bit suspicious of him, Rancis couldn't help but smile a little as Vanellope held the bouquet close. "It's not like I wanted to just disappear, okay? I... actually had things to talk to you about before that happened. I guess it's not really important, though." More specifically, his little anonymous gifts from ten weeks or so ago - which now seemed kind of childish and maybe even a little creepy, at least in Rancis' mind, so he decided to move on to a different topic. Maybe it would be better that way. 

"So you missed me, huh? You don't look all that excited to see me. Should I come back later or something?"

"I can't drive in the game during open hours any more, so I don't exactly blame you for thinking I might want to go Turbo," Rancis admitted, though kind of tersely. Looking away, he continues, voice falling quiet with a tinge of embarrassment. "The program is treating me like messy code since I'm different now. I think it tried to delete me or something. I was working on that new kart when things kind of... stopped in my memory. Next thing I know, program's telling me my code hasn't been active in forever. I don't know what it was." 

Sensing that Vanellope sounds less pleased with his return than he had hoped, Rancis eventually pulls out the lollipop bouquet and offers it to her. "Sorry if you got worried or anything. You look like you've had a rougher day than me anyway."
