so we know MCs pacts with brothers are “strained” in the past, and you have to reforge them. But yet they still work a little in the past. What if every time you told the brothers in the past to “stay”, the future demon brothers could feel the pact magic weakly? or better yet, what if the command worked on them in the future even though you were in the past!

So I was told that Barbatos falling for MC in S4 was rushed, didn't make sense etc etc and I was 100% ready to agree because he barely seemed to like them in S3 and 3/4ths of S4 and I was completely sure nothing could suddenly change that

But like....

Okay look assuming he was always intrigued by MC and I mean who wouldn't be? They managed to make pacts with all 7 sins within a year, they're a human determined to live permanently with demons, they're literally a ticking time bomb, they became solomon's apprentice even after he ended things badly with his previous apprentice, they managed to make solomon change his views on demons - and that's not even the whole of it so yes they're very intriguing and I'm sure even Barbatos who wasn't into them was at least intrigued, intrested, drawn in by at least curiosity

Anyway imagine being Barbatos at the moment he fell for them

Imagine being half delirious, weaker than he's ever been, barely standing on his feet, 100% sure he's going to die via magical blackhole and terrified of abandoning Diavolo, and he gets saved by MC, not even by their magic but by pure brute strength, they wrap their arms around him and clutch him to their chest and protect him from the whipping wind, they save him and protect him and he's never needed to be saved or protected before, he's never needed to depend on someone before, and for someone who works as much as Barbatos, who's in this position because he saved three of the brothers and took on too much, to be able to let go of all that responsibility for even a second, to be able to sag into someone else and know that they'll take care of everything must be blissful, and then hair whipping around them MC tells him to snap out of it because Diavolo needs them so he definitely can't lay down and die now and honestly when was the last time anyone ever snapped at him? Of course he falls a little bit in love with them? How could he not?

Personally, I'd have dropped on to one knee right then and there in front of them

The white day event is great because it shows the insane contrast between the purgatory hall crew & the house of lamentation crew

At purgatory hall they're having a nice normal time baking sweets together. The only danger they face is solomon in the kitchen but they've managed to convince him to be just the taste tester. It's quiet. It's peaceful. Things are good.

Cut to the HoL set and they're freezing their balls off in the middle of a blizard that none of them dressed for. Belphie wants to take a nap and Levi's like "hey you'll fucking d i e" lucifer's solution to stop belphie & mc dying, after they both decide to lay down and let the cold consume them, is to kill them himself by electrocuting them. Levi's nose keeps getting bitten by a gay plant. Asmo pulls out the Evil Queen from Snow White's line and a plant throws up on him. Beel tries to eat a random book he found on the ground in the middle of a forest.

Same energy...

This Devilgram story is one of my favorites for simple reasons

Mammon and Levi came into the room at the same time, which means they actually were together before arriving. And that makes me really freaking happy because that shows their relationship is a lot nicer than it was in the first season of One Master To Rule Them All. I used to rarely see any of the brothers together aside from meals, and with the exception of Beel and Belphie I guess.

This interaction between Beel with Mammon and Levi 😂

It’s funny imagining him looking the wrong way and the older two brothers are just “bro we’re over here”.

I half expected Levi to ask what’s wrong with Beel’s eyes or just make a comment about it, but instead he goes–
