˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚ blurb | coming back home with girlfriend!ellie after a night out
content warning: intoxication. all fluff this time!
a/n: finally got off the abby train to write this. also got really sad tonight and thought this would help a bit. enjoyyy <3
Tumblr media
you made soft giggles into ellie’s shoulder as she tried to fish for her keys to your shared apartment. she reminded you more times than you could count to watch your drinks only to meet her with silent nods and thumbs ups as you shuffled your way back to the bar counter that night.
aaand now here you are, legs like jelly, barely able to make it up the front steps. ellie fixed her shoulder from under your arm in hopes of keeping you upright. you clung to her like a magnet as she finally wringled her keys free from her pocket and into the notches of the door handle before making a breathless entrance.
“you’re trouble baby, you know that?” she quipped, freeing her shoulder to to place you on the couch. your face was a hazy intoxicated mess, vision stuck on the woman looming over you. you reach for her arm, shaking it feverishly back and forth. “take me to beeeed, please?”
ellie made a exhausted groan before obligingly hitching her arms under you; lifting you up towards her bridal style. your eyes meet hers once again, dizzy and love stricken at the sight of your girlfriend.
“don’t stare at me too long, you may not wanna stop.” she said, following with a laugh as you made it through the doorframe of your bedroom. she placed you lightly on the cushion, placing the covers over you. she turned to walk away, not before you could catch her by her pinky finger and stopping her in her tracks.
“can I have a glass of water before you go?” you whined, lips pouted and needy. ellie was worn thin that night, but couldn’t deny the look of want you had given her. she nodded aptly, turning the corner of the room and soon entering back with a glass of water. she placed it at your tableside, before a second attempt to leave again.
“wait!” you exclaim. her head turned with a jolt, eyes ridden with drowsiness. you furrowed your eye brows pleadingly.
“can you stay?”
“honey I think you can fall asleep on your own, I’ll be back l—“
“please?”
ellie’s heart couldn’t take it anymore at the softness of your tone. she turned back and with a sigh and shed her jacket before rolling in bed behind you, holding you by your waist.
“you’re a handful girl! slow down on the drinking next time, please.” she placed a kiss on your shoulder as you nuzzled into your own pillow. you loved her when she was like this, careful with your every moment and holding you like you would slip right though her fingers. you peak a single eye out from under the pillow to look at her, and mumbled out a question.
“if i’m sober next time we go out, can I get a surprise?”
ellie rolled her eyes in humor, shaking her head with a sigh. “sure sure, you’ll get all that n’ then some, alright?” you untuck a hand out of your sheets to poke her cheek.
“promise?”
“I promise baby.”
with her gentle confirmation, you feel yourself drift into slumber.

| c/w - general themes : ellie williams x female reader. mentions of violence, jealousy, best friends (to enemies) to lovers, angst, mutual pining. this fic is purely for fun. with that being said, every single detail will not be canon compliant. if that may bother you, this might not be the fic for you! thank u!
the wretched and joyful : ellie williams
you had almost died before you had made it to jackson.
you didn't really know why you weren't dead. you weren't really sure why the man with the gun took pity on you that day. maybe it really was your weakness that had saved you.
weakness, or plain stupidity. it didn't matter anyway.
when you were surrounded by a group of people on horses, you were fighting for sensibility. the lower halves of their faces had been covered with scarves acting as masks, and you didn't know if they were the bandits that assumably slaughtered your previous group or members of a rumored safe haven.
you had been scared and exhausted, fighting for your life even though you weren't even sure if that was what you wanted anymore. you yelled and spat out threats to spite the tears in your eyes, anything to defend yourself before your lungs would surely give out. driven purely by nerves, you continued waving your weapon around even when the man leading the group ordered you to drop it.
it was practically a death sentence. it should've been a death sentence, but it wasn't.
their promises of safety fell on deaf ears until you actually saw the place. even then, it was months until you got a decent night of sleep.
the man who was the first to point his gun at you, tommy, was also the first to lower it. you don't know what made him save you that day, but when you arrived at jackson he almost seemed amused.
in passing, he spoke to another man that you later learned to be joel.
"get ready for a case of deja fucking vu," tommy had muttered.
you didn't know what it meant, and you didn't know how to decipher the look that plastered itself onto joel's face.
you were the last surviving member of your group before jackson, or at least that's what you had to assume. nobody really believed that you had made it that far on your own, especially considering the state that you were in. you knew that they were weary about another group coming and looking for you, despite your honest confessions.
before jackson, before you were alone, you had been taken in by a group. the QZ was threatening to fall any day, and they had heard whispers. talk of safe communities throughout the states. with the information they had compiled across time, one of the rumors was bound to be true. you weren't admittedly close with any of the adults but on the night of chaos, they convinced you to join them.
you wanted to believe that they cared for you, but the truth lingered in the back of your mind. you knew that they knew that you wouldn't make it out. you wanted to believe that they were truly good, but when you shared your story with tommy, maria, and joel, you noticed the glances. the looks they shared. you didn't understand it until you were older, and even then it took awhile to come to terms with the truth.
your group wasn't saving you. they weren't looking out for you. they were using you. you were bait.
on the day that you had lost them, they told you to stay put in the woods. they told you that you would be safe there, because they weren't sure about what was up ahead. if the coast was clear, they would come back for you.
it wasn't true.
they had thought that they were heading into safety, and leaving you behind was a distraction to the bandits that had been hot on your trail. they had been wrong. they walked straight into trouble, and you went undetected.
and they had thought that you didn't stand a chance.
well, they were wrong. now all of them were dead and you were still here.
if only they stayed put, maybe they would've been saved too.
you were just about seventeen on the day that jackson opened itself up to you.
now, a few years later, you were proud to call jackson your home.
you had your own home, a house (though you swore that if the day ever came and jackson's population grew dramatically, you would be the first to offer it up. it was a compromise for allowing you to live on your own) to call your own, and friends. a community.
there weren't many people your age compared to the QZ, considering, but still somehow more than you had expected.
your first friend was dina, sent to check in on you days after you had first arrived in jackson. maria was concerned that you wouldn't be a good fit after you had stayed inside, hesitant to show your face. dina had knocked on your door, introduced herself, and by the very next day you had been out and about.
then came jesse. and then ellie. and then cat. and then there was less of cat, until your little group had solidified into yourself, dina, jesse, and ellie. you would thank your lucky stars every single day that you had people to relate to, people that you could talk to and really trust.
dina and jesse were great. so was ellie, just... differently. not in a bad way though. never in a bad way. joel had originally warned you that she could be a little rough around the edges, but you didn't get that. you talked about a lot of things pretty quickly. you never really knew what it was like to have a best friend, but you were pretty sure that ellie was it.
you were practically attached at the hip, once upon a time. though it became lesser and lesser as time went on, you still had a certain fondness for ellie in your heart that no one else seemed to match.
it's not that you stopped being friends, because you still hung out just about every single day. she just seemed a little different. less comfortable maybe, and a little more jaded. not that you blamed her. it was just difficult trying to decipher how she would feel each day. sometimes, ellie made you feel as though you were the most important person in the world. other times, she always seemed to keep you at an arm's length. more so lately than ever before. maybe she was getting a little sick of you, or maybe she was just drained from patrol. whatever it was, your feelings never seemed to waver.
"you're late," you observed, squinting over at the figure approaching you.
"hardly. patrol took longer than we thought. don't get picky," the figure warned, reaching a hand out to you.
you ignored the gesture, pulling yourself up from the curb in which you were sat.
"a plan is a plan, williams."
the tone of your scolding was half-hearted and the crease on ellie's forehead eased.
"any chance at a rain check?" ellie asked.
the softness of her tone made you do a double take, scanning her features for any sign of unhappiness. ellie looked fine though, just tired.
"i promised addie that i'd bring you. she's been wanting to talk to you, you know."
"i don't know what for," ellie muttered begrudgingly, but you knew that it was only because she was feeling shy.
adeline hollis was an older woman residing in jackson. you had grown close throughout your time spent there, pretty much depicting her as a familial figure in your life. besides dina, she was one of the first people to actually talk you.
mrs. hollis was quick-witted, kind-hearted, and exceptionally good with a needle. she fixed up clothes for you often, and managed to turn any stray fabrics into articles of clothing that you actually felt proud of. you felt safe around her, allowed to be vain and wish for pretty things despite the state of everything else.
you shrugged and took a few steps, allowing ellie to decide whether or not she was going to follow after you.
"doesn't matter," you brushed off. "besides, she was fixin' up joel's boots, you can play delivery girl."
"you're annoying today," ellie complained, and you knew that she was following you because the sound of her voice was pretty close.
"i'm in a good mood," you replied, frowning as the words left your lips. were you?
you could never give yourself much time to think about it. it wasn't worth a second thought anyway, not now.
"right," ellie snorted, finally appearing at your side.
the sun was so bright that it felt warm, the feeling of late spring tangible wherever you went.
you glanced at ellie briefly, not trusting yourself to look more than once. her cheeks were turning pink from the sun and she looked sleepy. it made your heart swell.
you didn't knock once you had made it to the familiar front door - you knew that you didn't need to.
"addie!" you called into the home, leaving ellie to follow in after you. "we're here!"
you were quickly greeted with a hug, made to feel like each visit was a special occasion despite how frequent they were.
"there you are!" adeline beamed, catching ellie extremely off guard by greeting her with a hug as well. "i'm so glad you girls are here."
"hi mrs. hollis," ellie mumbled, a bashful smile adorning her lips. ellie's cheeks were red from the interaction and you cleared your throat to stifle a giggle.
"do you have it?" you inquired, prompting ellie's confusion from the way in which your eyebrows danced with the question.
"you'll love it," adeline assured, swiftly exiting the room and leaving you to bounce on your feet.
ellie managed to scoot her way closer to your side, leaning into you as she spoke. "what are you-"
"don't you love it?" adeline expressed confidently, holding up a long, flowing piece of fabric.
except, it wasn't just a piece of fabric anymore. adeline had worked it into a skirt for you, and your eyes widened in adoration.
"addie!" you squealed, rushing forward and hugging the material against your chest. ellie's presence was momentarily forgotten, nearly, until you spun around and held up the skirt to her.
"don't you love it?" you gushed, and ellie looked robotic in the way that she bobbed her head.
you examined the fabric closer. the faded, dainty floral pattern covering the skirt was more than you could've hoped for.
"i love it," you breathed, looking to adeline with wet eyes. if ellie didn't feel so uncomfortable, she probably would've snickered at you. "truly, thank you so much. this is beautiful," you admired.
"please," adeline waved a hand. "it keeps me busy. and you," she faced ellie, singling her out. "i don't know what that man does all day to put those godforsaken shoes in such a horrible shape."
ellie looked dumbfounded, and this time you didn't shy away from releasing your giggles.
"joel's boots are by the door," adeline sighed.
"right. thank you," ellie responded, moving to collect them as quickly as she could.
you bid farewell to adeline, expressing your gratitude about five more times until she all but pushed you out of the door. lovingly, of course.
ellie begrudgingly carried the boots as you twirled and skipped and admired your new article of clothing.
"we gotta go out now, do something special," you joked.
"yeah? what's the occasion?"
a quick glare shaped ellie up quickly.
"don't you think it's pretty?" you asked, desperate for a compliment despite the fact that you weren't even wearing it yet.
"i do," ellie agreed, quick to please you. "it's perfect for you."
"it is, isn't it?" maybe you really were in a good mood today. a real one. "what about dina and jesse?"
"what about them?" ellie mused, watching as you held the skirt carefully in your hands, not allowing it to drape on the ground.
"off?" you questioned thoughtfully, wrinkling your nose in ellie's direction.
ellie shook her head.
"really?"
"really. dina and jesse are back on. as of... yesterday?" ellie contemplated.
"wow, news travels slow i guess," you joked, causing ellie to nudge your arm.
"don't worry, they'll be broken up again before we know it. it's no use even keeping track anymore."
"ellie! that's mean," you laughed, shaking your head.
ellie felt a little guilty for teasing behind their backs but really, it was getting ridiculous. besides, the sound of your laughter eased the guilt pretty damn quick.
"come back with me," ellie changed the subject.
you faltered, nearly tripping over your own foot. "what?"
"to mine," ellie clarified. "give joel his-" she swung the boots at you, acting as if she was going to throw them. "-disgusting old new shoes."
your heart skipped a beat from the invitation and you had already known that you were going to say yes. ellie could have invited you to help her clean out shimmer's stall and you would've said yes without hesitation. speaking from experience, just once or twice...
"sure," you grinned.
if you went with ellie, you would probably spend hours listening to her as she went through her comic collection again. and then you would probably end up falling asleep. and then you would probably stay the night. you would share the bed, normal, and get a sick feeling in your stomach whenever her leg accidentally grazed your own, not normal.
determined to cling onto the feeling of a good day, you swallowed down the not normal feelings, as you usually did.
ellie looked at you and smiled, like genuinely grinned, and your fingertips went numb.
"last one there has to do the dishes after dinner," ellie taunted, the reason behind her smile no longer feeling pure.
"what?" you laughed in disbelief, just before ellie took off.
"ellie!" you shouted, fumbling to quickly catch up to her. "ellie williams! i don't even live there!"

Tumblr media
"Where the hell is Romanoff?"
Tony finally put words to what the rest of the team had been thinking for the past few minutes. The team were geared up and ready to infiltrate a highly secured HYDRA base, one of the most important missions to date. Months of gathering intel had led up to finding this base - they had hidden it extremely well, and time was of the essence right now. Except, a very obvious anomaly was the missing presence of your girlfriend.
This was extremely unusual, because one thing Natasha Romanoff never missed out on was a mission. Especially one of this importance. It was very out of character for her, and you tried your hardest not to worry. Tried not to let your mind drift to dark, unrealistic places. She was fine, she had to be fine, you had literally seen her last night and she was fine. She just wasn't present.
"I'll go look for her," you volunteer, getting a murmur of agreement from the rest of the team as you set off on your hunt through the Compound.
"Nat?" You call out, "Did you forget that we have a mission today? Leaving in... what was meant to be three minutes ago, actually."
No answer.
You sigh. She wasn't in the kitchen or in the living room, so the most logical place to check next would be her own bedroom. She was never one to sleep in, but it wouldn't hurt to check. She had to be somewhere, after all.
Knocking gently on the door to her bedroom, you called out, "Sweetheart, you in here?"
Still no answer, so you gently pushed open the door and walked in. It was pitch black, and the curtains were drawn. You could just about make out a figure on the bed, deciding to switch the light on and squinting your eyes at the brightness. With the room now full of light, you could tell that the figure on the bed was definitely Natasha, if the strands of fiery red hair peeking out of her blanket cocoon were anything to go by.
"Nat?" You whisper, gently poking her and sending a silent prayer up that she isn't dead. She groaned in response, shuffling around in her cocoon as she subconsciously pulled the blanket further over her head. At least she was alive. Still very uncharacteristically Natasha, though. "You okay? Forget about the mission?"
Natasha shoved the blankets off of herself then, shooting up in the bed with wide eyes, "Oh, fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. I missed my al-" She was cut off by a sneeze, and your suspicion rose. Now that you could take a better look at her without her being covered by blankets, she didn't look well. At all. Her face had taken on a ghostly pallor, and her eyes looked visibly tired despite her just being asleep for hours longer than she'd normally be. You narrow your eyes, gently placing the back of your hand on her forehead and you nearly wince at the heat radiating off of it.
"God, Tasha, you're burning up. You have a fever."
She shook her head, "No. 'M fine. Promise. I just slept in."
"You are not fine. Lie back down. You're clearly sick."
As if to answer your question, a sneezing fit shook her entire body. Still, Natasha was relentlessly stubborn, even if she had a fever that felt like she'd spent the entire night in a sauna, "I am fine," she insisted, sniffling. She tried to push herself off of the bed, only to be greeted by your firm hands on her shoulders, pushing her back down.
"No. You are not going anywhere. You are going to get some rest, and I'll be your doctor. I'll strap you down to this bed if I need to."
She glared at you, but she must feel really shit because it didn't take that much for her to finally agree, even if it was reluctantly. She lay back down, and you kissed her forehead gently, brushing her hair out of her face. "Okay, I'm going to tell the team that they can manage the mission without me, because I have a girlfriend who needs to be taken care of, and I'll grab a few things for you. You stay here, and keep the blankets off you, you don't want to overheat with your fever."
"Yes, ma'am," Natasha mock-saluted and you laughed, kissing her forehead once more before leaving to tell the team.
Tumblr media
Honestly, Peter should be locked up for telling Tony what 'whipped' and 'simp' meant, because the amount of times he had called you those two words when you explained why you were staying behind was enough to last a lifetime. As if he wouldn't do the same for Pepper. He was such a hypocrite.
After taking a detour to change out of your suit and into something more comfortable, you returned to Natasha's room carrying a box of tissues, some Tylenol, a thermometer, a thin blanket, a bottle of water and a pint of ice cream. The redhead sat up in bed as you entered, and you flashed her a smile.
"Okay," you dumped the items at the bottom of her bed, "first, here's a blanket for you. It's thin enough so it won't cause you to overheat but will help with the chills that can come with a fever," you threw the blanket towards Natasha and she caught it with a grateful smile, draping it over herself.
"I've brought ice cream for later, and I can make you soup if you want some. We can have a movie day too. Now open wide," you smirked, picking up the thermometer and walking towards her, popping it into her mouth. She reached out to take ahold of your free hand as you both waited, and you hummed contentedly. It seemed sick Natasha was a clingy Natasha. You liked that bit.
The thermometer beeped and you took it out of her mouth, inhaling sharply as you read the number, "102 degrees? Yeah, you're definitely not going anywhere for the next few days."
Natasha groaned, opening her mouth to more than likely complain, but she quickly closed it when you answered her with a warning glare. "No arguing."
You handed her the bottle of water and some Tylenol before putting the thermometer away.
"You want some soup?"
She took the pills before shaking her head, "Not hungry. In the mood for some cuddles, though."
"That, I can do," you smiled. Putting the pint of ice cream on the bedside table for later, you jumped onto the bed, snuggling into Natasha. "You feeling okay?"
She nodded, "Apart from feeling like general shit, I'm a lot better now that you're here."
"That was extremely sappy of you, Romanoff."
She smiled before breaking into a cough, "Seriously, though. I've never had someone take care of me before, even if it's as simple as taking care of me when I have the flu, so it... it means a lot. Thank you," she sniffed.
You passed Natasha a tissue, trying your hardest not to cry at her reaction to such a simple gesture. Taking care of someone when they're sick should be expected, it shouldn't be surprising for Natasha, and you hated that it was. "I love you, of course I'll take care of you when you're sick. Even when you're not sick, anything you need and I'm here, okay?"
She nodded, putting an arm around your shoulder to pull you closer. You didn't even care that you could potentially catch her germs, all you wanted was to be in her arms and make her feel better.
"Wanna have a movie marathon for the entire day?" You asked, placing a kiss on her cheek.
"Absolutely."

Authors note; okokok this is my first time ever writing a fic so pls be nice😽 hopefully ill make more parts to this!!! Just let me know hehe
——————————☽ ——————————
‘What a drag’ you thought to yourself as sat, continuously shaking your leg up and down in a fidgety manner, whilst listening to the teacher at the front of the Auditorium clicking through slide upon slide about information for the rest of the term, i guess he was only trying to help all of us settle in
It had only been about 3 weeks or so since University had first started. As boring as this was, you couldn’t help but gaze around the room and find enjoyment else where; you was sat near the top, so you got a pretty good view of the rest of the students sat below, of course only the back of their heads.
Slowly but surely the talk came to a close, and everyone started to slowly pack their stuff away; which you followed along.
As you shoved your notebook into your bag, you catch a glimpse of a student not too far from you.
She had slightly red auburn hair, which was loosely tied half up and half down, with small strands of hair poking out from the side, as well as strands falling gently onto the side of her face.
Which you couldn’t help but just stand there and admire for a moment or two, as you watch her shove her bag onto her shoulder and turn to head for the door. Just by your luck she notices you…
staring. Admiring.. probably a better way to put it. You could only just catch a glimpse at their face as she turned to face you, not directly looking at you but you were in the corner of her eyes and-
oh my god her eyes, they were a deep green, with hints of yellow that bounced from the sun beaming through the window; you examine the rest of her face and see the freckles placed softly around her face and the way her-
you realise was fully just staring. Shit.
You quickly look away, your heart felt like it was pounding out of your chest, while ur cheeks filled with a tint of red. You continue packing the rest of your stuff back into your bag;
act normal act normal act normal.
And as soon as you looked back up towards the door, she had left. Little did you know before she had left, a small smirk appeared on her face at the thought of you admiring her. Cute, she thought to herself.
A few hours had passed, you had returned to your dorm- your roommate, Dina, was out with her new “situationship”, i think his name was Jesse? And of course you was sat on your bed, sprawled out, overthinking the 10 second moment embarrassing moment you had earlier that day with that other student.
‘was that weird? did she notice??’
You laid there for a while, contemplating whether your life was over or not just because you stared at someone for more than 5 seconds, which soon enough gets interrupted by a loud knock coming from your door at the front of your dorm.
You lifted yourself up and walked over to open the door, pulling the doorknob slowly to yourself to peer round and see who interrupted your not-so-peaceful thinking time.
“Hey, theres a house party at mine later? Your welcome to come.”
The guy said, leaning his forearm at the top of your door while staring down to you- raising an eyebrow as he waited for a response
“ehhhh..i’m not to fussed abou-“
“come on! Here” he placed a small note in your hand, with an address written in a bold marker pen
“I’ll see you there, yeh?” He says with a smirk, which makes you grimace a little.
“aha uh yeh? …Sure”
You say with regret and just to end the conversation frankly, cringing a little inside at this random guy’s remarks as he grins at you; pulling his arm back down and giving you a wink as he walks off.
Ew.
—☽
You click your phone screen with the tip of your finger to check the time.
5:58pm
You stand up and slowly walk over to your desk, which was pretty well organised to your liking -
You look down at the note that the weird guy had given you earlier, reading the starting time as 7pm.. giving you just enough time to do some makeup and get ready to go.. not like you wanted to but hey why not, you had no other plans and knew you’d spend your whole evening probably scrolling endlessly on your phone.
7:25pm
You look down to your phone and see the time while walking up to the house that supposedly fits with the address written on the note from earlier.
You chose to wear something that kinda fits your idea of a house party; a pair of denim loose shorts with a green tight crop halter neck, paired with a maroon brown jacket and converse.
The loud music blasted through the walls while strobe colour changing lights beamed down onto the driveway, bouncing around like small little fireflies having their own little party; which kind of made you smile a little.
As you walk through the door immediately you are met with a crowd that was big enough to fit a theatre, having to squeeze your way through and multiple “Excuse me”s & “Can i get past? Thankyou” to get to the kitchen and grab yourself a quick drink. The guy from earlier caught your eye as he was quickly trying to make your way over to you, waving his hand in excitement.
“Hey! You came!”
He splurts out with a slight drunken slurred tone, leaning over your shoulder to speak into your ear, grabbing your shoulder with his spare hand, and his other hand holding his drink.
“Aha yeh, why not”
You say with a smile, hoping this conversation would end so you can just get this party over and done with.
Thankfully a friend of his caught his attention as he did the man thing of fist bumping and giving them a pat on the back, while pulling one another into a hug. This gave you the opportunity to slide yourself out of the situation, taking a sip of your drink while you swerved yourself through the huge crowd.
Time had passed slowly, with awkward dancing coming from you and a couple sips of your drink; bringing you to realise you had none of it left.
You tried to make your way back to the kitchen to get another drink, yet instead get greeted with a slap in the face by a drink… definitely of alcohol.
You look down at your clothes, covered in whatever alcoholic substance that you could taste in your mouth.
“Oh my god… shit i am so sorry!….”
You hear over the loud music blasting through your ear drums as you look up, cringing at yourself and the fact you was covered in alcohol.
No fucking way.
It was the student from earlier. Auburn red hair, piercing green eyes and gently spotted freckles around her face. You stare for a moment in shock, realising what situation you was in.
“Thats pretty similar to the face you were pulling as you were staring at me earlier” She says, giving you a smirk as you still just…stood there in utter shock.
“I… uh” You couldn’t force any words out, it was like your vocal chords had been shut off. You stood there awkwardly, your heart pounding out of your chest, and your cheeks quickly turning red in utter embarrassment but also in a slight blush.
“C’mon, lets get you cleaned up yeh?” She says, grabbing your hand as she takes you through this huge crowd, squirming your way out to be eventually greeted with the bathroom up the stairs.
—☽
You throw yourself up onto the bathroom counter, dangling ur legs off from the side while the student…
…the pretty student…stands beside you, trying to find something to clean you up with.
She rummages through every cupboard she could find, feeling a sense of guilt to the fact that she had completely covered you in alcohol. Eventually, she finds a small purple flannel and walks back over to where your sat.
You could feel the alcohol hitting you, with the walls turning and swirling round while you feel yourself swaying back a forth, causing you to have a slight grin on your face. The corner of your eyes are slowly blurring together, and you felt a dizzy spell around your whole head.
“You alright there?” She asks you, looking up to see you blankly staring around at the walls; you seemed to do this a lot.
“Ahaa yeh.. i’m good! And are you alright?” You also ask, swaying your eyes to look towards her, meeting eye to eye as she chuckles at your response.
“Im great, thanks” She says whilst chuckling slightly, shaking her head at your slight tipsy manner.
She grabs the flannel and gently starts dabbing your chest, rubbing it softly on the sides of your face and eventually from your clothes. Her soft touch made your heart feel are fuzzy, with butterflies flying around in your stomach. You try so hard not to blush, grinning a little whilst she furrowed her eyebrows in concentration to get this horrible alcohol smell off of you.
“Man i’m so sorry about this, some fucker shoved me and caused me to drop my drink absolutely everywhere” She says while shaking her head, rolling her eyes in frustration, with a sense of guilt when she meets your eyes again.
“Hey, hey, no worries. I’m sure you didn’t do this on purpose” You reassure her, a grin appearing on your face.
“I noticed you in the lecture earlier”
She says, standing straight back up and going over to the sink; turning the tap on and running the flannel underneath to hopefully get rid of the alcohol remaining.
“Ah shit…yeh sorry about that, I didn’t realise i was just fully staring”
You say with complete embarrassment, turning to look in the opposite direction to her, a red blush rushing to your cheeks; hoping and praying she doesn’t see.
“I’m ellie” She says with a smile, turning her head up to look at you whilst she continued running the flannel under the tap.
Ellie, what a sweet name.
“I’m Y/n, nice to meet you ellie”
“Nice to meet you too” She says, chuckling to herself as she turned her head back down to the sink, turning the tap off and rinsing out the flannel.
“man i hope this doesn’t stain your clothes” She furrows her brows, coming back over to you to try and get the rest out.
The tension was pretty high while you sat there grinning to yourself, which Ellie continued gently rubbing off the alcohol, glancing up at you every few seconds; causing you to giggle to yourself. You were pretty drunk at this point, nothing made sense to you.
While you sit there, you begin to glance your eyes over what Ellie was wearing;
Her hair was tied back in the same half up half down style she had earlier, with small strands still loosely poking out. She was wearing a grey-ish top, with a blue oversized shirt over it, unbuttoned, while also wearing tight black jeans and a pair of black converse.
“Your doing it again” she mumbles, standing back up straight and smirking at you.
“Aha…..doing what?” You say, leaning your hand beside you and turning your head to the side a little, grinning a little to yourself
“Staring..” She states, crossing her arms and leaning on the side of the wall, raising her eyebrows at you.
You laugh to yourself, putting your face into your hands while shaking your head.
You are so embarrassing, you think to yourself, breathing in heavily before slapping your hands back onto your thighs and throwing yourself off the bathroom counter top
“I think i need another drink!” You say, patting Ellies shoulder as you walk past her, signalling for her to walk with you.
“Hey… I have something else that might be better than alcohol, plus, it doesn’t get all over you” She states, raising her eyebrows while still leaning on the wall with the side of her arm, grinning slightly at you.
This made you stop in your tracks as you turn and look at her, furrowing your brows and turning your head to the side
“Hm?”
You and Ellie were now sat on the side of a wall, your legs crossed causing your knee to slightly brush against Ellie’s, causing you to blush a little.
Ellie gets out a rolled up cigarette, which was obviously weed as the smell hit you straight in the face. She places the cigarette in her mouth on the very tip, bringing the lighter up to it and flicking it on, setting off a small red glow at the end of the cigarette on the other end.
She inhales slowly, closing her eyes as she takes the cigarette out and exhales out into the air, opening her eyes again to stare up at the sky.
“Want a drag?” She says, looking over to you, offering the cigarette.
“Sure, i’ve never smoked weed before though..” You say, taking the cigarette out of Ellie’s hands and taking it up to your mouth; as you place it in your mouth, Ellie gently grabs your chin with her thumb and turns your head to face her, lighting the cigarette again as the wind had caused it to blow out.
You stare into her eyes whilst she does this, looking slightly up at her seeing as she was a little bit taller than you.
“You really do love to stare huh” She looks at you, meeting your gaze after successfully lighting the cigarette again, still resting her thumb on your chin and her hand underneath.
You don’t respond as your too out of it to even think about what she just said, still gazing your eyes towards her before inhaling the cigarette and exhaling it gently into her face; causing a cloud of smoke between the two of you.
The music from the party wasn’t far, you had only sat on a small wall just beside the house; luckily it wasn’t too cold for the two of you.
“You know… the more you stare the more i want to get to know you..” She says, making you snap out of your trance as you realise what she just said.

Shit.
You quickly look away, your heart felt like it was pounding out of your chest, while ur cheeks filled with a tint of red. You continue packing the rest of your stuff back into your bag;
act normal act normal act normal.
