How most people see Alois vs. Ciel

When people see Alois: Dude he’s such a brat. I’m so glad he died, he got what he deserved especially after he poked that maids eye out.

When people see Ciel: I feel so bad for him, his parents died and he literally lost everything in that fire. You can’t even blame him for being the way he is now.

Me trying to figure out how the hell these peasants came to these conclusions:….I..I..the..they…ALOIS LITERALLY WENT THROUGH MORE TRAMA THEN FUCKING CIEL. NOT TO MENTION THAT HE SENT ALL OF THOSE KIDS THAT WERE SEX SLAVES WITH HIM FREE WHILE CIEL WAS LIKE NAHH IMMA LIGHT YOU ALL ON FIRE…BUT BY ALL MEANS PLEASE GIVE CIEL A FREE PASS JUST BECAUSE HE’S THE PROTAGONIST

After mulling over it for a moment, I started to notice a deeper meaning behind Alois Trancy’s birth name and alias.

Jim: “Supplanter - someone who takes the place of someone else”

We only knew Jim Macken as a mere child, the boy that resorted to thievery and violence to fend for himself and his younger brother Luka.

His life as Jim Macken was short lived, and during that short life, he clung to his naivety and childlike innocence - the innocence that Luka kept alive in him.

After Luka died, I feel, is when Jim Macken was really laid to rest. The child that was once so full of love and life no longer existed, for his innocence was stolen from him.

The Earl Trancy took him in, and Jim became Alois. Jim Macken is a shell of who Alois Trancy once was, and no longer will be.  

That, along with the fake story he made up to those that questioned him; is why he will not respond to his birth name and denies any recollection of ever being Jim Macken. 

Alois : “Famous Warrior”

This definition really stuck out to me. Alois Trancy was a fighter, in every aspect of his life.

He was a warrior. A survivor. Despite his mental instability and his insatiable thirst for love, Alois Trancy was strong beyond his years.

Luka’s death. The kidnapping. The sexual abuse. The isolation. Claude’s betrayal. The hatred and pain that he harbored. PTSD - and despite the full on warfare raging within his subconscious, Alois Trancy lived.

He struggled, but he carried on, even when he had no one to call his own. Even when there was nothing left to live for - he persevered.

Alois Trancy was a warrior.

Alois Trancy was NOT a SLUT, WHORE, ETC. 

Alois Trancy was NOT a character who DESERVED TO DIE.

Alois Trancy did NOT by any means DESERVE someone like CLAUD. 

This is because..Alois Trancy..

went through actual hell and came out on top. 

was completely broken and just needed to be loved

was Naive because he was alone and hurting 

was, though not technically, a survivor because he never backed down. 

was exactly like Ciel, just without one hell of a butler.
