Mel and Langdon should get to brand each other with his wedding ring. As a treat.
#they’re insane for each other#wanted to be marked in every day for each other so no one else can have the other#kingdon

You’re so right about your Kingdon breeding kink stance. Frank getting Mel pregnant is the most visceral ownership possible and you know he wants that like breathing. That’s his baby!
PS your writing is incredible! <3
The ownership is such a big part of it. Tbh I think Mel would love that aspect too because yeah someone loves her so much they went and made a kid together and isn’t that beautiful? She has the most perfect little bump where you can’t even tell until she turns around (everyone keeps telling her how unfair it is that pregnancy suits her this well), her hair is even thicker than normal, and she has this glow she’s never had before, so what if she threw up her guts the entire first half? She had her hair held and her back rubbed the entire time. Frank kept hair ties on his wrist next to the beaded bracelet from his kid. She’s being extra doted on. Frank is always hurrying to be the one to slide her a protein bar or water bottle first. He’s kinda in a pissing contest with Princess about it who keeps offering to Mel just to rile him up and make him crazy. Mel feels incredibly lucky and special.
They’re going to end up with like at least four kids on top of the two from Frank’s first marriage because they’re both way too insane about it all.
And thank you so much! That’s incredibly sweet of you 💕

I love your "abby doesn't exist" idea a lot especially because I was literally having a similar thought but more along the lines of "they've been divorced for over a year now and he just never brought it up to avoid the gossip and flirting." Someone wrote a fic where Mel is literally abby I would explain more but u should definitely read the fic uwu. Hella fantastic brain moments
I was a little surprised how much my silly little idea seemed to take off but I’m so happy to see it being enjoyed! I totally also enjoy the idea of Frank thinking it’s easier to just not mention getting divorced and well maybe it’s also a little bit to save face cause he’s already feeling like a kicked puppy walking around the ER after his time off.
I also just love the idea of single dad Frank whether that’s because his baby mama left, he’s divorced, or he ended up with custody/adopting two really young kids. Like he absolutely loves it and feels like having being a dad is what he’s meant to be on top of being a doctor. He doesn’t care if it’s hard because it completes him.
I am a frequent ao3 troll practically stalking the Mel/Frank tag so I HAVE read the fic your talking about where he’s just been trying to cover up who his wife lol. That was a fun one.

right so. mel and langdon get Freaky in an on call room/supply closet/stairwell/break room/other spaces of that nature and he undoes her braid during sex so he can tug on it obvi. so not only does mel have sex hair, a blissed out smile and a slight limp, she has to see her married boyfriend wear her hair tie around his wrist like a fucking trophy...

no! healthy relationship will kill the character! he needs an unhealthy codependent romance with a side of power imbalance to live

I see people are on the Frank Langdon is a villain train again and to that I say absolutely not. That man is a sensitive loser who faces the world with cocky bravado to protect himself from getting hurt when deep down he also desperately wants to emotionally connect. The man has a bad case and needs to talk to his four year old to feel better. He recognizes how badly sensitive people are needed in the ER to take care of others because there’s not enough of it. Him being harsh on Santos cause he doesn’t fuck with her bad habits and having a dependency on benzos doesn’t make him a villain it makes him an extremely human character.

every time someone tweets/posts that they realized langdon is actually nice to people other than mel it's just santos he takes issue with, a media literacy angel gains its wings
#he genuinely has very good relationships with his colleagues#they’re just on the playful side#plus he is good with patients just keeps a professional distance

Ahem, speaking of breeding kink and babies…Frank contacting a lawyer the day he finds out Mel’s pregnant to get the ball rolling on the divorce because this baby will not be born out of wedlock on his watch.
#cheating is bad but a baby out of wedlock is surely worse and that’s on being raised catholic#kingdon#langdonmel

I feel it in my bones that langdon has a breeding kink and i need it included in more kingdon fics like i need air to breathe.
The man has two kids before he’s even an attending. I know he loves a family dynamic and being the daddy. Frank absolutely has a filthy mouth and he’s going to run it telling Mel how much he can’t wait to make her a mommy, to have a family together. Not to mention the whole power trip of getting Mel pregnant because whoa he did that—he made that happen. Love the way her body changes to grow their baby. He’s constantly telling her how she’s glowing. He can’t keep his hands off her.
