Song Memory Writing
Stuck in Yesterday

In the quiet part of the house, the rain is getting worse, already feeling hungry and tired. I lay down to our bed, ignoring the feeling of hunger, watching outside, tilting the trees. The tears are starting to drip, my heart is feeling hurt. The soft pillow I'm hugging was already flattened, I feel the music. And then, the words: “Tatlong bilyon, ikaw lamang ang aking gusto, pasensya na kung ako’y di para sa’yo.” A lot of memories still remembered and crashed over my mind. The warm tears begin to fall. This song pulls me back to those memorable moments, the man who doesn’t care about me.
The memories that the day we met, I heard his clear and gentle voice. I quietly listened to his rants. But now I could see him happy with her new now, without being sad anymore. Those memories in my mind are hurtful, but at least all of that is gone.
The tears I had been struggling to contain finally streamed down my cheeks. As the music played to the chorus, my mind is relapsing again like a familiar occurrence. The rain was already stopping, but my mind still thinking in the past. And the song is about to end, my tears were already gone. I can smile without him anymore. And now I can sleep with ease. The music is still playing in my mind, remembering his gentle voice, his love, his good attitude, and his kind behavior. After months passed, my heart is already happy without him, and now I can erase all those memories with him. I’m happy I was able to move forward.

Short Poem

PAINTING
Behind all those happiness,
Inside me was full of sadness.
No one will allow to listen my story,
All of the sad memories was part of my story.
If I am sad, I’m making painting
While I was making painti, the rain is worse and the thunder is causing a very lightning.
I’m making my painting in the quiet room,
With no one here inside the room.

Painting with Words (Imagery)
As the clouds gathered ominously, the sky begins to darken, giving a sign that strong strom will happen. Suddenly, a heavy rain started to pour along with the striking thunder on the ground, reflecting white blending with pink color. The thunder seems to give light on the dimness of the night but its appearance is also frightening that no one will attempt to go near to it. The deciduous trees and grass are being blown by the destructive wind.
The curve path is in the middle of deciduous trees on both side of it, and the thunder that guving white light to it. Due to heavy rain, the path was wet and slippery. On the left side of the path between the trees, there is a small and lonely house, with no light, and a man living in it. Experiencing the disastrous night, Mario tremble as he hears the sound of the thunder striking and howling wind.
The storm is getting worse and the night becomes terror, Mario continuously losing his hope that he will survive and will be able to see the light of another morning. Different thoughts and realizations are slowly entering his mind, he realized that this is the punishment of the nature for him because of the abusive thing that he did to it. He cried and already accepted his death that he will surely face anytime soon.

One Act Play
CHARACTERS:
• Anna (a young and innocent girl)
• Arthur (father of Anna)
• Bella (friend of Anna)
• Mica (friend of Anna)
Scene:
A small, worn living room filled with warm sunlight coming through a dusty window. In the center, a simple wooden table holds a large cooking pot and a plate. The floor is covered with colorful toys, making the room feel lively.
(The curtain opens. Anna, Bella, and Mica sit on the floor, surrounded by their dolls, laughing together.)

Anna: (excited, holding her Barbie) Guys, look at my Barbie! She’s so pretty! I think she needs a beautiful dress.
Bella: (leaning closer, amazed) Anna, can I borrow your other doll and the dress? Wow, your doll is beautiful!
Mica: (smiling, nodding) Yeah, Anna! I love playing with you! Let’s have a fashion show with all our dolls!
Anna: (smiling brightly) That’s a great idea! We can make a runway with the pillows!
(Suddenly, her father, Arthur, stumbles in from stage right, holding a bottle of liquor. He looks unsteady and confused.)
(The happy atmosphere changes as Anna’s friends, Bella and Mica, exchange worried looks. They stand up, ready to leave.)
Bella: (nervously) Anna, we’re leaving. Your dad is home, and we’re scared.
Mica: (looking worried) Yeah, we don’t want to get in trouble.
Arthur: Anna! Where’s my food? Did you cook? I’m starving!
Anna: (trembling, hugging her doll) Dad, I’m sorry! I forgot to cook because I was playing.
Arthur: (angrily) Come here, child!
(Anna hesitates, fear in her eyes, but slowly walks toward her father, still holding her doll.)
Arthur: (snatching the doll from her hands and throwing it aside) You care more about playing! (pinching her ear) I’ve told you many times to learn how to clean and cook! You’re a burden! You deserve to be punished so you’ll learn!

(Arthur raises his hand, and the atmosphere becomes tense. He starts to hit her.)
Anna: (crying out, tears on her face) Dad, it hurts! Ow! Ow!
Arthur: (shouting) You deserve the pain so you’ll learn!
Anna: Dad, please stop! (crying and begging) It hurts!
Arthur: I won't stop until you learn!
(Suddenly, Arthur feels dizzy from drinking too much and stumbles, almost losing his balance.)
Anna: (crying, looking up at him with fear) Dad, do you really love me?
Arthur: (his face hardening) Why do you ask that? You’re not even my biological daughter!
Anna: (wiping her tears) Just because I’m not your blood doesn’t mean I’m not your daughter! I’m still here.
Arthur: (voice rising with anger) You think you can just play around and ignore your responsibilities? You’re a burden to me!
Anna: (standing firm, trembling) I try, Dad! I’m doing my best to learn, and I wish you could see that instead of just pointing out what I can’t do.
Arthur: (furious, stepping closer) How dare you talk to me like that? You think you can disrespect me in my own house?
Anna: (voice shaking but strong) I-I’m not trying to d-disrespect you! I just want you to be a real dad for once!
Arthur: (shouting) A real dad? You think I owe you anything? You’re wasting my time!
Anna: (desperate) I’m your daughter! I’m your real daughter! (She pulls out a small, worn-out photo from her pocket.) Look! This is me as a baby, and you’re holding me!
(She holds up the photo, showing a younger Arthur cradling a baby Anna, a look of love on his face.)
Arthur: (staring at the photo, his anger fading)
(In a fit of anger, he raises his hand and strikes her again.)
Anna: (gasping, her voice shaking) But I love you! I just want you to be proud of me!
Arthur: (furious) Proud? You think I can be proud of a child who can’t even cook or clean?
Anna: You really think I’m just a burden? I’m trying my best! I’m just a kid! You’re the one who’s never around! You’re the one who drinks all the time! How can you expect me to be perfect when you can’t even be a decent father?
(Arthur stabbed her using a knife from his pocket)
Arthur: (shouting, grabbing her hair) You think you can talk back to me? You think you can defy me?
Anna: (slowly losing consciousness, her voice faint) Dad... I am your daughter...
(Play of melancholic song)
Arthur: (voice trembling, filled with horror) No! What am I doing?!
(He drops the knife, panic washing over him as he rushes to Anna’s side.)
Arthur: (voice breaking, filled with guilt) Child, forgive me for all the suffering I’ve caused you. I’m deeply sorry for everything I’ve done. Please forgive me! Forgive me!
(As Arthur cradles her in his arms, he notices the small, worn-out photo she had shown him earlier. He flips it over and finds a letter taped to the back.)
Arthur: (confused) What’s this?
(He carefully peels the letter off and begins to read it aloud, his voice trembling.)
(Voiceover of Anna's mother plays): "To my beloved Arthur, if you’re reading this, it means I’m gone. I want you to know that Anna is your biological daughter. I kept this from you to protect her from your anger and the darkness that sometimes takes hold of you. I hoped you would change, that you would become the father she deserves. Please love her as I did. She needs you."
(Arthur’s eyes widen in shock as the message of the letter sinks in.)
Arthur: (voice trembling) No... it can’t be...
(He looks down at Anna, realization dawning on him as he remembers the truth he tried to bury.)
Arthur: (voice breaking) Anna... I didn’t know... I thought...
(He drops the letter, tears streaming down his face as he cradles her closer.)
Arthur: (sobbing) I’m so sorry! I never wanted to hurt you!
Arthur: (crying) I love you, Anna. Please, just hold on...
(Anna’s breathing slows, and her body goes limp.)
Arthur: (panicking) No! Please, don’t leave me! I’m so sorry!
(He looks down in shock as he realizes she has died.)
Arthur: (screaming) NO! ANNA!
(He holds her lifeless body, tears streaming down his face.)

Drama 1
Scene 1: Outside the House
Vernard: (to his friends) Come on, guys, cheers!
Margorie: (angrily) Vernard! What are you doing here?
Vernard: Oh, sis, you came back!
Margorie: I thought you were supposed to be studying?
Vernard: (sarcastically) What's the point of studying, sis? I won't get anything from it.
Margorie: (firmly) Come home, Vernard. We need to talk.
Vernard: (refusing) No way, sis. I'm just having a drink with my friends. You can just go now and spend your time at work! I won't care.
Margorie: (angrily) Vernard, Let's go home! Don't make any trouble here.
---

Scene 2: Inside the House
Margorie: (exasperated) Damn it, Vernard! I just came back from abroad, and this is how you welcome me?
Vernard: (defensively) Yes, and I wish you never came back.
Margorie: (hurt) Is that how you choose to speak to me? Your own sister? I've sacrificed everything for you. I've put in so much effort to support you, to send you to school, and to provide you with a good life. And this is how you repay me? By drinking and wasting your life away?
Margorie: Now tell me, where did all my money go? The money that I sent to you?
Vernard: Now you’re talking about money. That’s what really matters to you, right?
Margorie: Don't talk to me like that. I'm still your sister; you should respect me!
Vernard: Respecting you isn't my thing.
(Starts slapping Vernard)
Margorie: You’re really rude, aren’t you?!
(Vernard pushes Margorie)
Margorie: How dare you!
(Vernard storms out and starts packing his things. Margorie goes to him and throws his clothes at him.)
Margorie: What?! You’re really going to leave?! Huh?! Go ahead! Leave!
Vernard: I’m really leaving!
Margorie: Fine! Go ruin your life! Go ahead! Go get lost in your wrongdoings! (Margorie continues throwing clothes at her brother.)
Vernard: Yes!! I will really do that!
Margorie: Go ahead! (Margorie pushes her brother.)
Margorie: Go ahead! Get someone pregnant again! Let’s see if your child will respect you when all you have is salt to eat! And you’re selling your body just to have food! Go ahead! You know what? I thank God that no child has to bear the burden of having a father like you, irresponsible and selfish.
Vernard: If I ever have a child, I’ll make sure we go through hardships together, and I won’t trade them for money!
Margorie: How dare you! You have no gratitude! You’re the one who ruined your life! How dare you!
Margorie: If you don’t want me, I don’t want you either!
I wish that I never became your sister and you were never my sibling. Now if you didn’t think of me as your sister, then think about this: I didn’t choose this life for you! If you thought about it, I wish you could think about how many times I wished you were never born! So you wouldn’t have to experience this hardship in the world. But I’m here, and you’re here! No matter where I go in this world, I carry my obligation to give you a good life because I am your sister! I wish that every time you drink alcohol, every time you smoke a cigarette, every time you spend the money I send, you would think about how many meals I skipped just to send you a large amount of money. Do you know how painful that is for me as a sister? Do you know how painful that is? If you can’t treat me as a sister, at least respect me as a person. That’s all I need, just that.

Music Video
They steal behind our backs, with no regret
The higher the position, the higher power they get
Sweet words like honey, just flattery,
While we struggle with saltines, living in poverty.
Chorus
So choose with care, don’t rush to decide,
Seek the truth, let it be your guide.
Stand for what’s right, let’s unite as one,
Together we’ll shine, brighter than the sun.
Verse 2
Promises loud, but they fade away,
We seek unity, let’s find a better way.
Look for the voices that speak for the peace,
Together we rise, let the fighting cease.
Chorus
Choose with care, don’t rush to decide,
Seek the truth, let it be your guide.
Stand for what’s right, let’s unite as one,
Together we’ll shine, brighter than the sun.
Bridge
Corruption is strong, but we’ll break the chain,
They may not have voices, but we feel their pain.
Let the truth shine bright, let justice be clear,
Together we stand, with nothing to fear.
Chorus
Choose with care, don’t rush to decide,
Seek the truth, let it be your guide.
Stand for what’s right, let’s unite as one,
Together we’ll shine, brighter than the sun.
Chorus
Choose with care, don’t rush to decide,
Seek the truth, let it be your guide.
Stand for what’s right, let’s unite as one,
Together we’ll shine, brighter than the sun.
