Aw man I don't really have any interesting stories behind how I found my favorite artists. Most of the music I like now is from my dad's playlist (ie Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, One Red Martian, Violent Femmes). Or dumb stuff like spotify recommended me one song on a playlist and then started recommending more songs by the same artist so I listened to them (ie Gilla Band, Girlfriends, WillyRodriguezWasTaken, JPEGMAFIA).

My only semi interesting ones are:

Radiohead - I knew their more popular songs like Creep, No Surprises, and Exit Music (For a Film). Cuz those are the ones everyone knows. Apparently I had access been listening to a lullaby rendition of No Surprises ever since I was a small child and I didn't find out until years later when I heard the original song and got tripped out because it sounded so familiar. But the way I got into their stuff more was actually because of fucking music review YouTube channel Brad Taste in Music 😭 he mentioned the song Ful Stop in one of his videos and I went ahead and listened to it. Prior to that I thought Radiohead just did sad commercial rock music and didn't care for them much, so hearing some of their more interesting experimental stuff was eye opening for me.

sewerbitch! - @zx-yourmother-xz took me to an AJJ concert while they were on tour. I was not very familiar with AJJ except for Brave as a Noun. Their opener was Sewerbitch and neither of us knew anything about that band. Heard them start playing and I fell in love instantly. I love beautiful women who play kind of depressing and kind of goofy punk rock shit. They're amazing

Okkk so like I was playing just dance (My fav game when I was little ^_^) and I saw the song "I want you back" by The Jackson 5 on. I had already heard of MJ so I was like "Ok I think he might have been in this band" so I ask my dad who was playing with me and he was! I was like "Ok cool!" Then i decided to listen to some of his music (Beat it was the first song I heard by him!) and HOLY SHIT THAT WAS THE DAY MY LIFE CHANGED FOREVER!!!!! I asked my dad to teach me more abt him and I know basically everything about him now, I have heard most of his songs by now and in case ur curious my fav song by him is "I just can't stop loving you" and my fav album is Bad (BAD IS BETTER THAN THRILLER CHANGE MY MIND!) and my fav Music Video is Smooth Criminal!

Also with Bowie:

It was like very close to valentines day this year and at the time I HATED Bowie with a passion (idk why cuz I had never even heard a single song by him) and "Starman" Came on the radio and I was like "OMG TURN IT OFF TURN IT OFF" and my dad kept saying "you'll love Bowie if you give him a chance" and he was like "Y'know what, imma keep this on cuz you WILL like it" and he was right I guess! 😭

Somebody please explain to me how I've been using the same period tracker app since November and yet it STILL has not figured out that my cycle is two days shorter than it thinks it is. Am I the only person who doesn't understand why the hell anti-abortionists care so fucking much??? Like... if you don't want an abortion then don't get an abortion, it's that simple. Banning abortion doesn't help anybody, it just makes "pro-lifers" feel better about themselves. A fetus is aborted? "FUCK YOU, EVIL BABY MURDERER!!!" A woman dies because she was unable to receive an abortion? "That's her fault, she shouldn't have had sex if she didn't want a baby." You're not "pro-life", you're fucked in the head. An abortion ban can literally ONLY have negative effects. What is supposed to be the positive impact here??? More women die, and their pregnancies STILL END because the fetus can't live outside of the womb. Congratulations!!!! You're ending ACTUAL LIVES. How in the world are there real-life people who genuinely think that an unborn fetus should have more rights than a woman?
