A portrait took on my Canon 1100D camera, my intention was to use a standard white background and then manipulate the image further digitally. I then used photoshopped the photo through using PicsArt and created a more vibrant effect on an average portrait. I also had the intention of overlapping the red and blue in order to denote the mental illness of being bipolar, the two sides emphasise the hot and cold mental phases.

A series of photoshopped images created on the app PicsArt. I originally created a stencil in the shape of a razor in order to manipulate shapes and create something more abstract. I then took a photo of a single one of the stencils on a light box in order capture a more clean image. After taking this image I used many effects and photoshopped it to gain this outcome. I originally chose a razor as it was cohesive to my theme in art currently of mental health and sanity as it was relevant to coping mechanisms.

A series of pieces inspired by the artist Adam Hale. In the process of creating these I took portraits of previously taken on my Canon 1100D and printed them out on A3 pages, I then cut them into the shapes you see above. I incorporated various things within the images in order to reflect mental illness in visual form. My intention was the create pieces that almost denoted that the mind isn’t always what it seems to go along with my current theme of mental health and sanity. I also intended to use various vibrant colours to create variation with the work.

Ceramic piece created based off a stencil shape I’d used in previous works. Another element of my research and experiments with my current theme of mental health and sanity.

A series of three pieces inspired by the Artist Lucas Simoes. I decided to take three portraits that I’d previously taken on my Canon 1100D. I laminated them in order to burn them, having the plastic layer enabled me to create more of an affective burning affect and also manipulate the shape more. My intention was to create something more sinister out of three normal portraits.

Series of edited images I took using my canon 1100D DSLR. I began with a single apple and a pink background and then photoshopped it further to get these outcomes.

An abstract interpretation of the human brain, based off of my personal research into my theme of mental health and sanity. I used a design I painted with watercolours and then developed it further digitally. Through using the outline of the shape I was able to incorporate things such as duplicating, glitching and adding various colours in order to give a variety of outcomes. Themes images being the result of this.
