Albrecht isn't a noisy person.
Indeed, he was quietly sat in his little place, making little sketches on the right side of his exercise book.
No one talks with him.
His classmates treat him like a ghost, a nerdy introverted boy who makes very good essays to copy easily.
And so Albrecht lives his life being totally ignored by the others, trying to make friends with little success, leaving him with a sense of melanchony... just hard studying until the end, when finally will leave that noisy prison called school.
But...the new one seems to trying little pity for the little figure called Albrecht.
Slowly he lifts his eyes towards the new smiling classmate, grasping his hand and wrung it, and making a timid smile.

"I'm Albrecht. Nice to... meet you."
Jugendzeit
After all he had switched his school.
Perhaps his old one would be still reachable by S-Bahn, the station was now very near. But then this would have made no sense at all. Actually during the summer Friedrich’s family had to move house again, now living on the 4th floor of a pale yellow house. Moveover were everything already planned since Christmas, so that him and his brother could find a place in others school. After all, Hans was only im second year and he would have been comfortabler; Friedrich’s new Gymnasium was to reach by bike easily, he should only get up earlier.

By the end of August Friedrich joined his new class, with no rage anymore, but still not completely resigned. Before he came in he stopped for a brief second observing that strange classroom. Only the first two school-bank rows, three by three, divided in two. The back school-banks were already occupied by a group of strangers eating small slices of apple and biscuits from opened lunch box  and drinking warm coffee. They were chatting loud, they laughing and the echo their voices added to the loud noises that come from the rest of the floor.
None of them payed attention to Friedrich. He moved towards a school-bank on the second row, very close to them, and let his own dark grey satchel fall down. Then he sat down too.
At that point a girl with dark blond hair turn towards him, still smiling.
“Bedauere, dieser Platz ist besetzt.”
That forced Friedrich to move and sit on the first row. The others began to stare him and for a second they spoke not so loud. Friedrich stared them too. Then they started to chat with each other again.

There are many things that Albrecht hates with all of his heart. One of them are the summer holidays. That doesn't mean that he loves going to school, of course.
During the holidays Albrecht's parents often took long “”vacances”” , leaving their sixteen years old son alone in their big house.  Albrecht doesn't matter. Indeed,  he loves stay alone, maybe reading a book, drinking an hot cup of milk...even in July....
He doesn't have friends whom he could spend time with during the weekend. or just after school. For this simple reason his most-hated season every year seems to be more long  and boring than the previous.
Time goes by and Albrecht, watching the people walking on the street, felt a strange sense of solitude, that not even the best book can fill.

And this year, like each others, Albrecht took place in his lonely desk on the first row, laid his satchel over the floor  and sat, watching over the window a big pine full of singing birds.
If only he could have wings to reach them...
Unexpectedly, someone broke his meditation, forcing Albrecht to look around, searching -
Oh.
"Who is him?" thought Albrecht, knitting his brows and looking his new deskmate.
In just one second  his heart melted.
Damn.Â
"Why this one among ALL of these desks? Oh look, the left one is free-"
Nevermind. Albrecht sighed quietly, lowering his glance on the exercise book.
Only a new classmate, at the end.

Quote
As childish as it sounds, the winter time and the sight of freshly fallen snow always fill us with inexplicable joy. Perhaps because as children, we associated it with Christmas. I always imagine myself the hero who killed dragons, rescued virgins, and freed the world from evil.
