“I have a secret self. It glows with preciousness. I have learned to keep this secret, precious self to myself. Let’s see where it shall lead me.”
— Virginia Woolf, from a diary entry featured in “A Passionate Apprentice: The Early Diaries,”

she talked of a fear of not being a part of my future
of not being able to come around if I had children
or be present at my wedding
and it broke my heart
I've known and felt for years I want her in my life always, especially for the milestones

If you were here I'd draw you
I took every opportunity to touch you
to be alone with you
look at you
get you to laugh
with a whirlwind of thoughts
a storm of feelings about them
and held it all in in spite of myself

I love eye candy
I love gestures
I love a small, shy tug at the corner of their mouth
a curl of a lip
the red flushing to their cheeks
I love compliments
seeing their courage rise
as they ask about my personal life
as they look into my eyes
the kind of eye contact that connects
greeting me by name, accompanied by smile

I dreamt I cheated on my boyfriend - a first kiss with a near stranger. but we both felt it, how magical it was. and then he came into the room, though we're fully clothed, as I'm leaning over this guy's thighs in bed, laughing. The sheet ruffled between us. The kiss felt so good, I immediately turned to tell my partner about it so he could maybe feel it too- until I saw the hurt on his face.
