Reine des Fleurs: Prologue 01 (Part 2)

Prologue I title: The Princess of the Heavens and the Knights of the Earth

[Part i]

Violette: Are we good with joining them now?

Akane: I am ready. ♡♡♡

Hold on…mm?

Violette: Akane?

Akane: Mmmh…

Violette: Did something happen?

Akane: I want you to hold on a bit. 

—Akane runs to the door.

Ruri: Uwaaah!?

Akane: What do you think you’re doing, Ruri!!

Violette: Ruri…Have you been eavesdropping all this time?

Ruri: Ah– well, you see…! I was increasingly getting concerned for Akane…!

Akane: Still, eavesdropping between girls-conversations is extremely rude mannerism!

Ruri: Now that I remember– aren’t you the root cause behind all these…!

Akane: But now you can call it even! I am not going to apologize to you anymore!

Ruri: Ngh— the actual heck—!

Violette: (...Looks like they are back in their usual everyday versions.)

Now hey, enough. Let’s end our fight here. 

I want you two to step up closer. 

Ruri & Akane: ……

Though timidly, both of them were able to rest their heads in the designated place. 

Usually they do not hesitate in clinging on, but today they are tending to hold back themselves. 

Violette: I have said this to Akane too…you will always be my only two butterflies. 

No matter what happens from now on, that will never change. 

For both good and lonely days…we three have always been together, right?

Akane: …We have. 

Ruri: …Always been together.

Violette: Even though you guys’ mischief get us in trouble at times…I love you, Akane and Ruri. 

What about you?

Akane: Of course, Akane loves our Princess a lot!

Ruri: Same for me, I love you! 

Violette: …Thank you, my adorable little twin-butterflies.

Ruri & Akane: Ehehe…

Ruri: …I have made up my mind. No matter what kind of people come up, we will not let go of you so easily!

If the Princess has to fulfil her duties, I will help with everything I can by all means!

Akane: If anybody tries to bully you, I will fight them to the fullest! I will make them pay twice the price! 

Violette: …You do not have to worry about that. I will just accept the feelings, okay?

—CG ends. 

Violette: Well, now that Enge is waiting for us down there, let’s go then?

Ruri & Akane: Yeees—!

—Scene changes. 

Violette: We are back now, Enge. 

Madame Enge: Welcome back, seems like you have fixed up everything with them neat and clean. 

Violette: Yeah, thanks to you. 

Akane: I am really sorry for making you worried…

Ruri: Same here…for leaving without letting any of you know. 

Madame Enge: Yeah– now that you have properly reconciled, then it is enough to satisfy me. 

Let’s end these tough conversations at the moment and take seats for our tea. 

Violette: Yeah, let’s do that. 

—After that, we would spend a lovely tea time together. 

The Goddess has poured her divine strengths into the Earth through the bodies of Knights, who are also Seed–folks. 

Upon obtaining the power known as “Grâce,” Solvielle gradually began to show omen of—

Once again gradually achieved slow rebirth. 

And so, for the sake of eternal provision of the Grâce in the land, the Goddess creates a new world. 

The sanctuary floating in the heavens—Parthedame. 

A paradise adorned with beautiful flowers, with the Tree of Life — the source of Grâce — resting at its heart.

After placing everything in its order, the Goddess enters an ever–ending sleep, being a refugee within the Tree of Life. 

The will of the Goddess has been passed down on her vessel– “Reine” and the four knights—

Even to this day, the blessings are continued being sent to the surface world. 

—Scene changes.

As the night falls, Enge and I head over to Huber’s mansion in order to attend the dinner party. 

Akane and Ruri are staying home this time. 

I expected some protest, but due to the commotion we had earlier, they readily agreed. 

Marionette: Welcome, you two. 

All the guests have already arrived. This way, please. 

Violette: Yeah, thank you. 

???: Princess, and Madame Enge. I have been eagerly waiting for you. 

Violette: Good Evening, Lord Bonheur.

Madame Enge: Have we arrived overly late?

Bon Bonheur: No, you have arrived just on time. It is the nature of lead roles to arrive at dinner parties late. 

This well-mannered gentleman is Lord Bon-Bonheur. He is a flower-born carrying the satsuma–mandarin flower-crest.

Belonging in Hubert’s mansion, he is the care-taker of all sorts of kitchen affairs. 

He always earns admiration from those around him through his passionate endeavor on gourmet cuisine and abundant knowledge.  

Bon Bonheur: All the invited guests are already present. You two please take a seat as well. 

Violette: You are right. Well please allow me—

After exchanging just enough greetings, we too proceed to sit in our designated chairs. 

Not long after, dazzling colorful cuisines were being served one after the other. 

Bon Bonheur: If this gathering celebration is for the long-awaited union, I am very sure there are many stories for us to unfold. 

May you not only enjoy the taste of the meals this evening but also savor the time of our togetherness as we dine. 

Now that the hors d'oeuvre are arranged neatly before all of us, I put my gaze in the path to everyone else. 

Violette: My gratitude especially for Hubert and Lord Bonheur for preparing this occasion. 

Well then everybody, let us begin our meal…as we celebrate tonight’s reunion.

—After a while 

Uranami: Mhm, just as I would expect from Lord Bonheur. Haven’t you made great progress since two years ago?

Madame Enge: Fufu…he is a devotee to his job every day after all. Wouldn’t you agree, Princess?

Violette: Yes, all thanks to Lord Bonheur, I have begun looking forward to his meals.

I wasn’t used to the meals in the past…a few bites of sweets were all I could manage to eat.

Tsumabeni: I am more of an alcohol guy myself. The booze from Chrysantheme was really gpd. 

Ageha: If you can adapt to meals, they are not too bad either. 

It was fun seeing the way menus would totally vary throughout morning, noon and night. 

Violette: Morning, noon and night…you have been eating on such a regular schedule?

Asagi: Yes. Although we flower–borns have no need for meals or sleep— —

In order to have a better understanding of the knights, I made it a point to experience the customs of seed–folks as best as possible. 

Violette: Is that so…

Hubert: Did I not tell you, Princess? Even meals and sleep are meaningful things. 

You seemed to have frequently been enjoying the tea–time, thanks to the twin butterflies, but— —

When it comes to sleep…even the bed taken care of for you seems to remain cold as always.

Violette: …I am trying my best…for what it’s worth…

Hubert: Naturally, that is what is expected of you. 

Ageha: Hubert, please don’t throw cold words at such special occasions—cut such a boorish mindset, will you?

Hubert: Goodness…well my apologies. 

Though thanks to Ageha I was saved…Hubert did say the right thing.

Violette: (In order to understand the knights better, I cannot afford but to change the way I live.)

Eventually upon finishing the final desert, everyone takes a relaxing time to—

Hubert: —Now, shall we proceed to the main topic?

Everyone’s facial expression becomes tense at this single line from Hubert, and a wave of tension walks into the room. 

Hubert: I assume everyone is well-known about this matter but…

No hurt in doing a refresher for the present state we are obliged to fulfil. 

Violette: …Yeah, please go ahead. 

Hubert: As for this aerial–castle— Parthedame, came into being in an ancient time…

Something benevolent Goddess Miène had created in order to restore the blessings into the Earth. 

At the heart of the land is the Tree of Life containing the mystical power called “Grâce.”

The Grâce was bestowed onto the Earth by the ruled “Reine,” who was sent as Goddess’s vessel—

To bring peace into the world is our mission. 

In order to obtain that, we need assistance from the chosen knights of the four nations in the land below. 

Violette: Grâce is sent into the nations through the knights’ bodies, right?

Hubert: Yes, exactly. The roles of the knights are so to speak, transmission. 

…But as all of you know, an unprecedented issue is arising in this generation. 

I have been informed about that issue from time being as well. 

After the previous Reine passed away, the Reine for the next generation was suppose to be born right after but— —

For some reason, the next generation’s Reine would not be born, forming a gap of several decades. 

And that reason is still appeared to be unknown. 

Hubert: —However, the long–waited Reine has come to take birth, at last. 

Violette: ……

I meet Hubert’s gaze to respond with a nod. 

Hubert: Our Reine has achieved growth steadily, and the flower–crest was able to select the knights as well. 

Ageha: Now begins our roles to take over.

Hubert: Yes. They were trained to be knights by the Four-Butterflies, guardians of the flower-crest.

Ageha: ...And that also means casting away the body forged by being seed-folk.

Violette: Because their body would need to absorb Grâce from the time being, right?

Hubert: Yes, after completely transforming into flower–borns, they will be admitted to Parthedame. 

And by forming a bond between the Reine and her vassals, the land will head towards tranquility——

…That was how things were supposed to flow but

Violette: Huh? 

Hubert: Having to pour the Grâce directly into the body belonging to seed-folk can be a great challenge, you see. 

Therefore, until the last cycle, we would take a span of 4–5 years to gradually accustom their body but…

Because Reine’s throne has been vacant for such a long time, the devastation on the land below has gone up beyond what you would expect. 

Although it is an exception to the policy, we would need to conclude the training period on the Earth within two years. 

We decided to get them in Parthedame before they could transform into full-fledged flower-borns.

Violette: No way…! 

It’s my first time hearing it. I’ve not been informed about any of this at all. 

Violette: That is overly exaggerated…

Tsumabeni: …Well, that is an expected reaction, I guess. 

Uranami: Oh well, honestly speaking it was a tough time for us too. 

It’s really unreasonable to make us finish conditioning them in half the time they would need.

Violette: You all knew about this…

Asagi: Yeah, Hubert directed us to do so. 

Violette: Why didn’t you tell me about it? 

Hubert: Because there has been a lot of things left for you to learn as Reine. 

Getting unnecessary anxieties for knowing this would have interfered with your key responsibilities. That’s what I acted upon considering those consequences. 

Violette: ……

(It certainly makes sense logically but…)

…But Parthedame is a place filled with such intense Grâce. 

With a body of seed–folk, they cannot live here…

Hubert: Of course I have taken that into account. That is where you play a role, Princess.

Violette: Huh…

Hubert: According to the report from the Four–Butterflies— —

As of now it seems that half of the required Grâce has been integrated into their bodies. 

They will be able to manage to live just enough by borrowing the power from the flower–crest. 

As a Reine, you, Princess, can send them the remaining other half portion of the Grâce. 

Violette: Me? But what am I exactly supposed to do…?

Madame Enge: You should recall how earlier on you were able to unravel Akane’s feelings. 

Violette: Akane?

Madame Enge: Yes. Although partially progressed, the knights are transforming into flower–borns, aren’t they?

The closer the bond becomes with you and the heart, the more stabilized the Grâce in the body would be. 

Hubert: Right, and in short you would need to create a strong connection with them. 

Let us talk elaborate on how to interact with the knights as you see them face to face. 

Violette: …Understood. 

Hubert: With that being said, you having slightest to no clue about their characters must be uncomfortable for you. 

We shall have the Four–Butterflies explain in detail about each of the knights. 

Ageha: I will go ahead and explain it first. 

I was sent over to a country in the north named Pivoine. 

Of all the four nations in Solvielle, it is the one pridefully containing the largest territory. 

The flower–crest which symbolizes the country is “Scarlet Peony.”

And the knight’s name is—Leon. 

I believe he turned 24. He is from one of the top two noble families in Pivoine.

Uranami: Heh, that is such an honorable title to have. 

Ageha: If you get carried out simply with “Nobility” then you may get betrayed down the line. 

His motivation is, ‘second to none,’ but…there are some handful of problems regarding him as well. 

Violette: Problems?

Hubert: I heard that he is not the guy flower–crest had chosen originally, right?

Violette: Not the guy you said…! How is it even allowed?

Ageha: No…for someone to run to be a knight outside of selection is something completely unheard of. 

At first no one sided with him…later on he would not just back down by keeping saying “No matter what.”

He was so persistent that it eventually became a problem for us too. 

Even though he would cry or yell, I assumed he would give up once he faced the reality, however— —

I tried providing Grâce to both the originally selected one and Leon. 

Tsumabeni: That is…so Ageha–ish reckless method again.

Asagi: Wouldn’t they die if you made one wrong move?

Ageha: I did hold back. Just enough to leave them half–dead or half–alive. 

Violette: (...I cannot be convinced that she went easy at all.)

To the seed–folks down on the Earth, this pure Grâce is more likely to be a poison to uphold.

To absorb that internally must be extremely painful, and even more for someone out of the selection. 

Ageha: And yet, Leon has preserved through the pain till the end. 

On the contrary the one who was selected gave up early on very promptly. 

Uranami: Oh well well…would you call it a rule–breaker or…beyond exceptional. 

Ageha: That got me quite astonished there as well. 

I reported it to Hubert when I didn’t know what to do…

Hubert: Though it is outside of the norm, I have decided to acknowledge him as a knight and continue forward with his training. 

Violette: …Leon is really someone with incredible will–power it seems. 

Ageha: Nope, in his case it is more than just will–power…

Violette: Eh?

Ageha: …Well, nevermind. Anyways, he is a guy with tough grit. 

Violette: ???

(Somehow she ended it in a dismissive way…or am I overthinking?)

Uranami: Hope I am allowed to proceed now with my turn.

As for where I have been, the country is located in the south, called Campanule. 

It is well known for its huge economic power house and even beauty and art. 

The flower–crest symbolizing the country is “Bellflower.” 

And the name of the knight is— Louis. 

He is 22 years old. Apparently he is a son of the current King by a concubine. 

Violette: …He is a prince you mean?

Uranami: Yeah, both in terms of status and looks he is the kind of prince women dream about. 

I think if he is paired with you, it will be a great match. 

Asagi: …Instead of fussing around, finish your job first, Uranami. 

Uranami: How annoying, I was being really serious. 

Because it is totally possible for romance to bloom between a Reine and a knight. 

Princess has aged too, you must be interested in that too, right?

Violette: …Please don’t joke about it. 

Hubert: Future aside, I think it is too early for my princess to emerge into love–affairs. 

Uranami: Oh well, that is true. 

Ageha: Puting looks to the side, what is inside of him? That matters the most after all. 

Uranami: ……

Tsumabeni: …Seems like he is more of a suspicious person. 

Uranami: Hate to admit it, that is not quite the case either. 

Just like me he is an exceedingly well–behaved gentleman. 

Everyone: ……

Asagi: In other words, one more is added into the nuisance squad. 

Everyone nodded to what Asagi just said.

Uranami: …Anyways, mine one is further than what you expect. Wouldn’t you like to share your side now, Tsumabeni–san?

Tsumabeni: Oh well, looks like you left me with no other options. 

The country I was sent to is located in the east, Chrysantheme.

It is a nation covered in steep mountains and great power. 

The flower–crest which symbolizes the nation is “Chrysanthemum.”

And the name of the knight is— — Ghislain. 

As a soldier he is coming from a fairly reputable lineage family. His age is 20. 

He is so skilled that he has earned the title—“The Wrathful Blade of Chrysantheme.”

If we are just talking about physical strength, I would say he won’t lose to anybody. 

Uranami: …Yet again? Lord Tsumabeni, looks like you are destined to deal with such kind of folks. 

Violette: ? What do you mean by “again?”

Ageha: Hm? Oh that means— —

Tsumabeni: It is usual for guys with strong arms to be chosen from the Eastern knights. 

Ageha: That’s right, yup. Coincidences are really scary, aren’t they?

Violette: I see…

Madame Enge: ……

Violette: ? Enge, something happened?

Madame Enge: …No. Nothing really…

Hubert: In the Parthedame of peace, rough guys tend to be avoided for good. 

Everytime I would hope for them to choose something gentle in nature. 

Tsumabeni: …Yeah, you are absolutely right.

But I assure you that he is not the kind of law–less to go on rampage indiscriminately. 

He is an earnest man like a soldier…but he is not a bad guy. 

Even with Tsumabeni’s deep voice resounding, somehow the room feels strangely quiet. 

…What is this heavy atmosphere?

Violette: !

Ageha: Well, now that Tsumabeni’s turn is over, we are just left with Asagi. 

To catch up with the rhythm of Ageha’s clapped hand piercing through the atmosphere, Asagi consents with nervousness. 

Asagi: Ye–yes. Well then— —

I was in charge of the western country, “Villet.” Though not huge, it is a small country made out of exquisite islands. 

The flower–crest symbolizing the country is “Dianthus.”

The name of the knight is— “Orpheus.”

His origin is unknown. As for the age…he is probably around 19 years old. 

Violette: Unknown?

Asagi: Brought up as an orphan, I believe he has been traveling around various places as a minstrel. 

Due to being self–sufficient at a young age, he is sociable with a good sense of decorum.

Tsumabeni: A self–made I see, huh…guys like that seem to have promising qualities. 

Asagi: …I wished that would be the case, but for now he still has an unreliable aspect which I am concerned with.

Tsumabeni: Haha, it is because your way of evaluation is quite strict. 

Asagi: It was merely an objective judgement. 

Ageha: However, I wonder if this kid Orpheus can put up with the things over here?

It will be great if he doesn’t feel out of place for being surrounded by the privileged brats coming from good families. 

Asagi: Do not worry about that. I am certain that his social skills are not to be considered ordinary. 

A certainty would be visible on Asagi’s face as he declared those words with confidence. 

Violette: (I believe I have nothing to worry about then…)

Uranami: …A helpless younger brother character with a misfortune upbringing—what a perfect hit right at Asagi–san…

Even I can't afford to take it lightly. 

Asagi: …ngh…!

Uranami: Oops

Asagi: Only if they could hit right…!

Uranami: What the heck. If that would be cupid’s arrow, I could understand. But I have no interest in getting stabbed with spoons or forks. 

Hubert: …Both of you are behaving inappropriately here. Moreover, we are in the middle of an important conversation.

Uranami: Did you hear that? As for where we have left, let’s take our time to resume it later on...

Asagi: I refuse. As if I am willing to meddle with your nonsense any further!

As retaining back his calmness, Asagi takes his attention off of Uranami. 

Hubert: …Now. As far as what I have heard from the report, they all appear to be full of characters. 

You are looking forward to meeting them right, Princess?

Violette: Hu–huh? Oh yeah…

I gave him a hesitant nod as my heart accelerated at the word, ‘meeting.’

Of what I have been hearing about so far as if out of my concerns, suddenly starts feeling alive to me. 

Violette: …I just hope I am capable.

Hubert: If it’s my princess, you will be just fine. I have high hopes for you. 

…Let’s bring it to a close for today. 

The reception meeting between the knights and Princess shall be scheduled on the night following three days, as planned. 

Everyone please make sure to be well prepared by that day. 

The meeting came to an end with everyone’s nod. 

—Scene changes. 

The face-to-face ceremony is to be held on the night following three days. 

The arrival of the knights signifies Reine beginning to be fully active for her duties. 

The feeling that ‘I have to do it’ battles against my anxiety of being unable to accomplish my tasks.

…Still I must carry it through till the very end. 

Violette: The mission I am obliged to partake in is right here. I do not have to have any other reason.

These words bloomed as if to convince my own self. 

Akane: Hey Princess, where are you at—?

Ruri: I want you to tell us what happened at the dinner party!

Oh no, come to think about this. I made that promise with those kids. 

Violette: I will be heading there now. I want you guys to wait for me a bit. 

— —I cannot allow myself have too much of leisures. 

Because the beginning is gradually approaching. 

—Violette walks away.

The world once loved by the Gods, now has long been without their mercy. 

Just except for one Goddess— 

Hubert: However, since the Goddess has entered into a deep slumber, what the world now clings onto are the fragile hands of her maiden. 

…I wonder if the burden is a bit too heavy for my Princess. 

But whether that is the case, I have to have her pull through what needs to be done. 

Because unfortunately it has been all decided since the day she was born as a “Reine.”

Now then, let us lift the curtain.

Prologue I title: The Princess of the Heavens and the Knights of the Earth

[Part ii]

Now returning by the carriage along with the same path I walked. 

This carriage set ready to depart at the very entrance of the cherry-blossom row is a result of Hubert’s over-protectiveness.

Violette: To Hubert, I must be a woman who has a long way to go…

To me he is a parent, an older brother, a mentor and an irreplaceable person. 

We flower-borns coming out from the flower crest, cannot possibly attain a blood-tied relationship the way seed-folks do reproducing biologically. 

However, I believe despite that, Hubert and I share a very similar relationship. 

Violette: This is why I cannot afford to keep being spoiled by him. Especially from now on…

— Scene shifts. 

I was greeted by someone unexpected as I stepped down the carriage. 

???: Pleasant day to you. I wonder if you have taken care of your important tasks, Princess?

Violette: Madame Enge…thankfully, the Four Butterflies made their way back home.

Madame Enge: Glad to hear that. Has everyone been doing well?

Violette: Fufu…to my great surprise, they haven’t changed a bit. Make sure to go to see them later on.

Madame Enge: A sure thing

Always appearing gracious and smiling over here is Madame Enge. She bears the flower crest of the plum blossom. 

Having been living in Pathedarme alongside Hubert for a while, he also places a great trust on her. 

The salon she hosts contains a huge popularity, being invited there is regarded as a great honor. 

Madame Enge: We still have some time before tonight’s dinner party, correct?

If okay by you, I have been waiting to have a nice chat with you, Princess.

Violette: Of course, it’s okay. Let’s head to my mansion to enjoy some tea and talk.

Madame Enge: Yeah. Let’s get going…

—Scene shifts.

As we were heading to the castle while chatting leisurely, the clamor on our way made us yield. 

???: Come on now—! I am telling you to cut it out because the Princess is gonna come back right away!! 

Violette: That is…

???: Uwaaaaaah—!?

Violette: Wh-what the…!?

Madame Enge: Hehe…I wonder if the troublemakers are causing some commotion yet again.

Violette: …Let’s witness the scene ourselves. 

While holding my head, I walk forward to the courtyard where the noise has been coming from.

—Scene shifts.

???: Ugh…Princess! Even lady Enge…

Violette: Ruri…where did you go? And what about Akane?

Ruru: Umm…well you see…

Stumbling in his own words, Ruri keeps tossing his gaze toward a very specific corner. 

Violette: …Did anything happen to my bedroom?

Ruri: So-something happened…or rather, it’s more like…I don’t know what to do, really…

Madame Enge: Oh hey…

Ruri. I can see a leaf attached to your back. What kind of mischievous have you been up to?

Ruri: Eh umm…uuh…

Madame Enge: It seems like now we ought to listen to their full story. 

Violette: Ah yes…Please Ruri, go ahead. 

Ruri: Alright…

—Scene changes.

Ruri: Actually…Akane became peevish and barricaded herself out inside Princess’s bedroom…

The door was locked and no matter how much you would tell her to come out, she would not——

So when I tried to go in utilizing the entrance from the veranda, I bumped myself into a glass marble and ended up falling. 

Violette: ……

He may have just thrown this casually, but my bedroom is on the second floor.

No matter how much you tell this kid how agile he is, he will still end up doing something so reckless.

Violette: How on the earth did you make such a decision…

Does it have to do anything with you two disappearing while I was reading?

Ruri: Oh well…

Originally…we planned to depart together by the time you would go out but…

Today was the day Sister Ageha and others were coming back, and Akane was very much looking forward to that.

According to Ruri who was concerned as he kept talking——

—Flashback 

Akane: Very soon we will be able to meet everyone from the Four Butterflies. It will be so fun ♡♡♡

Ruri: Mhm, it has been so long afterall ☆☆☆

Akane: Sister Ageha will be bringing delicious refreshments, those are Akane’s absolute favorite ♡♡♡

Ruri: I would love to hear their heroic sagas again— What do you think they have been through this time?

Akane: And also, I will have uncle Tsumabeni to lift me up high and high!

Ruri: I hope this time his big hands pat me a whole lot

Wouldn’t it be too much fun to play tag with Asagi chan too?

Akane: We are going to use the entire park to play. This time I won’t lose for sure ♡♡♡

And as for Uranami—

Ruri: To be honest…it doesn’t matter even if he doesn’t come this year.

Akane: For real…

Ruri: Ah…but if everyone is coming back, it means those guys are coming back too right?

Akane: Those guys?

Ruri: Princess’s knights

Akane: …Oh come on

That bunch is irrelevant. The ones to belong by our Princess first and foremost are us.

The knights, we can just summon them when we would have no other choice but to ♡♡♡

Ruri: Umm. I understand your feelings but I do not think it will work so smoothly like this.

This tree blossoms with lushful green leaves, countless buds grow at the tips of the branches. 

Following the brilliant flowers had fully blossomed, they withered — and beneath their fading petals, new seeds were born.

And so, the seeds sank once more into the green—over and over again.

Over several years, the blue world has formed into land brimming with green. 

That land cherished by the Gods has come to be known as Solvielle. 

There now dwell countless seeds — mankind, known as the Seedfolk.

The world, once cherished by the gods, has long been forsaken—

all save one goddess.

At the exact moment I close the book I’ve read countless times, I let go of a deep breath.

Akane, Ruri?

The noisy twins who would usually appear to your call right away are now nowhere to be seen.

They must have gotten bored watching me get lost reading the book and went outside to play.

Hubert: Because your caring gestures are not preserved for them alone anymore.

Hubert: Knights from Solvielle will come to see you tomorrow to offer you their loyalty. 

The kids probably see them as on their way to you— who has always been stuck with them. 

Violette: How troublesome little kids…

Hubert: Even more so…your flower crest holds great significance. Don’t you agree?

Violette: Even I don’t wish to neglect the girls. 

And that will not change. 

Hubert: I suppose so. But…princess. You should not settle on thinking everything will stay the same. 

Once you gain the knights’ loyalty and become the true Reine, you will have to bear far heavier responsibilities than you can imagine.

From the southern land of Campanule—Uranami, butterfly of the bellflower.

From the eastern land of Chrysanthème—Tsumabeni, butterfly of chrysanthemums.

From the western land of Ouïe—Asagi, butterfly of the pink dianthus.

Violette: Come forth: The Four Butterflies! 

As their long-missed faces descended through the beam, I felt my shoulders lightened. 

It seems that the path reconnected to the land— after two years— has safely brought them back in here.

Violette: Welcome home…each of you. 

At the cue of my voice, they take their time to step up to me. 

Ageha: First of the Four Butterflies—Ageha, of the northern crimson peony. I have returned.

How have you been, princess? You have gotten even more elegant. 

Violette: Thank you. I have been doing fairly well, Ageha. 

Uranami: Of the Four Butterflies—Uranami, southern butterfly of the bellflower. I, too, have returned.

Hey guys, there’s been this anon “copypasta”/chain going on. But only by one person. I’ve gotten a couple of weird anons but they’re accusing people of things, and others have also seen an anon impersonating people such as Zara (Zara’s the only one being impersonated to my knowledge) and sending graphic sexual descriptions as well as shitting on the DL fandom in general. If you have been getting these anons, please ignore them. I thought this would die down but it hasn’t. It’s been going on for a week and a half (I believe). If you reply to them they usually spam your inbox with harassment so please don’t.

The themes of these asks usually have (CW): rape, threats, #justiceforyui, Alzheimer, “no IQ,” “braincell” and etc. (UPDATE: I forgot to mention that they also have been asking for nudes of people as well. Gross.)

Fortunately, I have not gotten the worst from this anon (but I know I probably will if they see this post) but I feel like I should use my platform to let others know of this. If you see anyone that’s an anon saying they’re Zara, they’re not Zara. If someone impersonates me or any other person in anon, it’s definitely not me them.

As for my blog, I’m probably going to turn off anon mode for the time being until this passes. (I suggest others do the same for their own safety). I’m very sorry to do this to you guys since I know a lot of you submit stuff to my blog via anon, but I want to help make this fandom a safe space for people who just wanna vibe and aren’t doing anything wrong. I’ll be sure to turn it back on once I’m sure this has passed.
