Katherine nodded before sitting down. “Well, I was a bit over paranoid. I just wasn’t sure if you were one of the bad ones. One of the red ones.” Katherine shivered a little thinking if them. “They’re not even human anymore but some of them look like everyone else.”
Cullen nodded, he agreed, the Red Templars were unnerving to fight against. It was a reminder that they hadn’t been fast or strong enough to help them.
“I understand the paranoia, I think you’d like to meet the Inquisitor. She might be able to speak with you on your concerns. She’s good like that.” He explained.

“Lady Bishamonten, it is a pleasure to see you at Skyhold.” Cullen stood at parade rest with Josephine. He hadn’t seen her since his first few weeks as a Templar. He’d been assigned to her caravan.
He’d not seen or heard of her in years, and this felt more than awkward. “Thank you for coming to Skyhold.”

Katherine seemed a bit surprised at his answer. “That’s,… kind of you. Most of the world condemns us.” Katherine thought to herself for a moment, and decided she shouldn’t keep him tied up. She came over to him, and untied his wrists then. “Just um,…. I’m going to trust you not to try and kill me.”
Cullen watched her untie his hands his eyes dark with the memories of Kirkwall playing in the back of his mind. “I hardly have a reason too.” He replied rubbing at where the ropes had chafed only a little.

The search for the Missing Inquisitor(It deserved capitals in his head) was becoming increasingly urgent. The call that the Inquisitor’s steed had made it to the walls without her urged them into action.
Cullen and Leliana themselves led the scouts out of Skyhold in search as the snow began making it difficult for anyone to make out any sort of foot print. Cullen stopped as something caught his eye. Leliana’s eyebrows shot up when she saw the blood. “There’s someone over here!” She called and they went in search. Hopefully they would find her before it was too late.
@knightccmmandercullen liked for a starter.
Skyhold was close now. The blurred silhouette of the castle was becoming clearer by the moment. The Inquisitor leaned against her horse for support, the snow falling harder now. Small droplets of red fell one after the other from the hem of her cloak, leaving a trail behind them.
There was a light coming from the tower and she prayed to whatever Creators were out there that someone would see her as she slid from her horse and into the rapidly piling snow. With the last of her strength, she ushered the horse on towards the fortress where it would arrive without its rider.

Sorry for ugly watermark. I want to sell this one as sticker. Well. At least that was original plan? I had bit too much fun with textured brushes and now he looks more like postcard material (because stickers are too small for those textures to work)? Dunno.
I’m pretty happy with final result :) Especially his skirt turned coat thingie :D

Katherine hummed as if thinking. “I’m a haler by trade. If you think I could help, I will.” She said softly. “You don’t hate us all for what happened?” She asked remembering what had happened in Kirkwall. The memory still hurt to think about.
“Healers are always welcome.” Cullen replied as she asked about Kirkwall. Cullen’s face darkened, his brows coming together, though not quite in a scowl.
“I... don’t hate the mages for what happened.” It had taken a long time to come to that conclusion. He didn’t hate mages, he just didn’t particularly trust them unless they’d proven themselves.

Cullen started as someone brushed roughly into him. He caught the man by the shoulder to steady himself before comprehension dawned on him.
It had been years since he had family. It had been too easy to let his work with the templars and then later with the Inquisition, keep him too busy to travel home. And lately it seemed his letters were getting more and more sparse.
A broad grin mirror his twins as he pulled him into a hug. “Connor! I didn’t expect to see you here!”
Connor hugged his twin back just as fiercely, when they broke apart his face threatened to split open he was smiling so hard. “Same here, I thought you were still with the Templars.”
As his hands went to his sides they brushed the letter in his belt. He’d put it there almost expecting resistance and needing proof he was here with purpose. He should have known better than that with the rumors of the Inquisition. But he’d been burned in the past.

The Inquisition was bustling, people working to get Skyhold completely up to speed to take in the people coming in every day. Connor Rutherford whistled as he took in the place, he had a message from the Company he worked for and he was here to deliver.
However now that he was free to do so he went looking around and while he was walking backwards he ran into someone. “Sorry, I should have been watching-”
Connor hadn’t seen his brother in years, the sparse letters they traded via their sister spoke rarely of where they where and what they were doing.
He smiled as he saw his twin brother in his regal armor. “Cullen is that you? I haven’t seen you in a long time brother.”

Katherine watched for a while as he ate. “I thought about coming to the inquisition but,… I wasn’t sure. Every one is out for blood with people like me.” She explained shivering slightly. She did’t like the idea of being so close to so many soldiers. “I can help you get back to them after the storm passes.”
Cullen stopped mid bite and made a face; “We do have mages who are not beholden to Templars in the Inquisition Or the mage circles.” While he didn’t particularly like the idea of people who could be easily posessed.
It wasn’t his call however and they had mages, so he worked with them as best as he could.

Katherine sat down at the fire again and handed Cullen some bread to go with the stew. “Well, not even templars deserve to freeze to death in the snow. I haven’t been shown much kindness myself since I left kirkwall.” She hugged her knees then and seemed sad to mention kirkwall. “Who were you separated from, if you don’t mind me asking?” She spoke softly and played with her hair a little while she watched him.
Cullen hummed as he took the bread to go with his stew. “I’m with the Inquisition,” He explained as he took a bite. Once he was finished chewing he started tearing at the bread to soak up some of the liquid.
“I was making a patrol of the mountain side with a few other soldiers and we got hit by the blizzard.” He continued to explain as he ate.

He frowned a bit “Quit grumbling.” Samson glanced at the other, finally they reached the healers tent. They lead him to a cot a Samson stayed by his side.
Cullen sighed as Samson sat down, he cradled his arm against his chest as the healers made their way over. “You don’t have to hang around, I am perfectly capable of speaking with the healers on my own.”

Katherine nodded and nodded toward the corner of the cave. It was still shining and dry. “I fixed it. The leather strap at the left shoulder was broken.” She said pushing the last rib back into place. “I’m sorry I had to to remove it. But your clothes were soaked.”
She started to use healing magic then to fuse the bones back where they were suppose to go. Then she withdrew her hands. “There. The pain should fade after a few moments. Eating may help warm you up.” She said moving back to the fireplace.
Cullen laid back as she worked attempting not to make any more noise. He couldn’t help the last grunt as his bones were put back into place. Once she withdrew he gathered himself to get up and get some food.
“Thank you, very rarely are former templars shown mercy by apostates.” He told her taking some of the food.
