sorry to vaguepost here on tumblr dot com but I'm obsessed with the people in the notes of lrb talking about what a perverted little freak haruki murakami is. folks I have read many murakami novels and the sex in them is all extremely vanilla. "but kafka on the shore has—" the incest is metaphorical! sometimes there's adult man/teenage girl but that just tells you the novel was written by a heterosexual man.
