Scaramouche did not particularly like his birthday. It had always brought up difficult times where he was forced to celebrate the event alone. However, this time it was different. Because, this time he has you. Of course, you were there two birthdays ago too. But that was before he learned to value your presence and the impact you had made in his life.

This time, he finds himself waking up in your embrace, the sun rays blinding his eyes temporarily before they fell on you. You were fast asleep, unaware that a certain purple-haired boy was staring. His hands reach up to cup your face, fingers absentmindedly rubbing your cheek bones.

His own cheeks flush at his actions. Has he gone mad? He was never this sentimental nor was he so affectionate. His hands freeze when he hears your soft voice mumble his name, having assumed he had been caught. However, before he could make some rushed out excuse, you had already fallen back asleep.

He holds you a little closer, his grip almost bruising as he buries his face in the crook of your neck. He'll worry about his friends' fussing and the blowing of his candles later. For now, he's content celebrating his birthday morning in your arms and surrounded by your scent.

y/n l/n : second year in teyvat university. A while back they had an on & off situationship with Scaramouche from their econ class. They broke up over the lack of communication on his part and Scaramouche's deteriorating mental health. They occasionally vlog when their schedule allows it and often collab with Hu Tao in her ghost hunting channel. This resulted in their private twt account being "ghosthunter" as they swiped the user from hu tao (LOL) :P.

lumine : third year in teyvat university, arts & humanities major. She has a twin brother who is a history major. She first met Y/N at the campus library and they immediately hit it off. Ever since then, they'd often get coffee together at a local cafe before their classes.

heizou shikanoin : second year in teyvat university, criminology major. He's a big fan of corny detective shows like inspector gadget, sherlock holmes, etc. He met Y/N through a concert. They liked the same local singer (Scaramouche) and quickly became friends. Of course, he was one of the first people to realize that Y/N had went to the concert because of their situationship with Scaramouche.

venti : second year in teyvat university, liberal arts major with a minor in music. He first met Y/N through Scaramouche. He was friends with Aether and they became close friends at a party. They are often his designated driver at parties or other events including alcohol.

hu tao : second year in teyvat university, also a criminology major. She first met Y/N in high school and have always been their closest friend. She attends similar classes to Heizou, so they often bond over the fact they're incredibly sleep deprived.

kunikuzushi scaramouche : second year in teyvat university, philosophy major with a minor in theatre. Full bisexual— he's known it ever since he was a kid. He occasionally uploads music whenever school and life doesn't stress him out. He's known as the Taylor Swift of Teyvat U for often singing about his exes. Him and his mother don't talk much due to the fact she left him with his aunt, Nahida, at a young age. Childe immediately knew they were gonna be best friends when Scaramouche kicked sand into his face.

childe ajax tartaglia : second year in teyvat university, economics major & a singer in his free time. He got in through a football scholarship and he's known for constantly hosting parties. He's said to be "scara's best-friend" though Scaramouche denies it. He grew up next door to Scaramouche in a wealthy part of town and he immediately knew they'd be best-friends when Scaramouche kicked sand into his face.

aether : third year in teyvat university, history major. He first met Scaramouche when he walked into the wrong class and Scara berated him for it. No one really knows how they became close, they just did and no one questioned it. He occasionally models with his twin, Lumine.

kazuha kaedehara : second year in teyvat university, music major. He helps produce/compose Scaramouche and Childe's music. He tries to stay away from the camera but due to always being around Scaramouche he's gotten used to paparazzi taking photos of him. Aether tries to convince him to model with him and Lumine.
