Ant Man!Jaebum [Ft. YugBamKook Thief Squad]

So I come out of my unannounced Hiatus to bring you a sorta long/short headcanon post about Ant-Man!Jaebum with the YugBamKook squad. @jahehyung this is for you man but it’s gonna be like...hella short...rip me. May or may not follow movie events and perhaps someday I’ll revise this when I actually rewatch the movie and stuff. Some of the things may be inaccurate so uhh...pray for me this is gonna be so disorganized I apologize.

((PS: Lu, I’m shook anon. Yes hi I’m Thana aka Shook anon nice to meet you. I will proabaly still be shook anon because this is a sideblog.))

SO WE HAVE IM JAEBUM aka that very smart dude who’s good with electronics where he got a masters in Electrical Engineering and weirdly enough loved movies when he was little. Wanted to be a movie major but is really good at rewiring things and stuff.

He also happens to be a thief and liked the excitement of it but he also liked the pay since he can help his family. He has a daughter, Jihyo, and an ex-wife and hasn’t been able to see them since he got imprisoned for hacking into his former company to give back the money then went into his old boss’s mansion to steal a few things before like...driving his car into the pool. He recently got out for good behavior but couldn’t see his daughter since his ex-wife got engaged (and then married) to this cop named Youjin.

Oh yeah, YugBamKook is his squad of thieves and, while they’re crazy and memey, they’re pretty good at their jobs: Bambam is good at disguises and being bait (is surprisingly strong and has tea and sources), Yugyeom is the hacker, and Jungkook is their getaway driver and secondary muscle. Jaebum acts like the leader and the voice of reason. He has no idea how they’re together with the 97 line at all and they jokingly diss Jaebum from balding to Yugyeom accidentally calling him Jaebum-ah.

So one day, Bambam gets an offer from a unknown man to go rob  Papa Tuan (as he was known for): the billionaire who was once CEO of Tuan Tech but then got voted out and was replaced by Oh Sehun. Papa Tuan also has a son named Mark as you can tell this might be MarkBum but who the fuck knows.

aNYWAY back to the thing: So Bamabam heard from DK who knew this one girl named Mina who’s dating this one girl named Jamie who was like to Jamie “So I’m cleaning for this man and he has this huge ass safe” and blabbers more to Jamie about this safe and in which Jamie tells DK about this safe since she and DK are on the same softball team and DK is like to Bambam “it’s only a huge ass safe but it’s legit and has a lotta cash” As expected, Jaebum gets hella confused.

(Yugyeom doing the TL;DR: The old man has a huge safe.” Bambam: “AND HE’S GONE FOR A WEEK”)

And so they do the Heist(tm) and the only thing was the suit but they still took it and Jaebum tries on the suit.

He...ended up nearly getting killed and was soon arrested for trying to return the suit and then was visited by Papa Tuan...who used ants to cover up the camera. Basically, Papa Tuan manipulated the whole heist so that Jaebum can steal the suit and to see if Jaebum is worthy of being the next Ant-Man and to do this mission where they take down Sehun.

So they go through training with Tuan’s son: Mark who’s really handsome (Crazy stupid fine in Bambam’s words) and let’s just say there’s tension because A) Mark is pissed at his dad for not selecting him and selected Jaebum instead and B)....something else.

And Jaebum, despite him trying SUPER HARD to get the shrinking thing right and trying to communicate with ants, isn’t getting the thing meanwhile there is Tension between Mark and his dad.

At some point, Papa Tuan wanted Jaebum to steal something from an old Avengers base and it nearly went into pieces when Falcon!Youngjae spotted Jaebum and shit just happened.

So Papa Tuan confides in Jaebum, telling him that the reason why he didn’t pick Mark to be Ant-Man is because he really doesn’t want to lose his son like he did with his wife (and low key thew shade at Jaebum for being expendable). After this, Jaebum is FINALLY able to control the ants and stuff.

And so Jaebum told Mark this and Mark was...nearly in tears over this and so the Tuans made up....with Jaebum ruining the fucking moment.

While the last few points is happening, Sehun managed to create a suit that is similar to Tuan’s except it has LASERS and WEAPONS and he calls it Yellowjack since they’re deadly and shit.

Fast forward to the mission and everyone is in their places: Jaebum is in the water line, Bambam is disguised as a guard so he can turn off the water to let Jaebum do his thing while Yugyeom and Jungkook are waiting in the car. Yugyeom’s on his computer and Jungkook with his hands on the wheel in case they need to get away. Mark and Papa Tuan are just buying time.

So the plan’s going smoothly and all until fucking Sehun caught them in the act and then this big bad fight starts, resulting in the Oh Industries (the rebranded name of Tuan tech) to explode and the fight to go to Jihyo’s house. As you expect, it ended up being very messy and Jihyo not knowing that Jaebum, her dad, being Ant Man and saving her. Along the way an ant got enlarged to the size of a regular dog, YugBamKook having to book the fuck out of there, and Jihyo’s house nearly being ddestroyed and stuff.

After all that mess, the day is saved and everything is alrigh--

Bambam: So one of my other closest friends, Mingyu, saw this crazy fine lady at the bar and she was like “yo I got mad contacts but I can’t tell you because he works for the Avengers” and then she told his contact to be specific and the dude was like “I’m looking for a guy who shrinks” and I was like to Mingyu to tell the crazy fine lady to tell the Avenger dude to tell me?... and he said to me to say ‘Yes’.

That contact ended up being Youngjae...fucking RIP Jaebum.

And there’s a possibly that Mark and Jaebum nearly kiss but who knows man.

You got it fam and it’s okay you cool. Hopefully this is good!! Also...I might have went a bit off prompt with the genre but I hope this is still good!!

Bri--I mean, Youngk is a music major with a focus on songwriting because we all know he’s really good at songwriting okay? okay

Somehow?? He’s one of the more popular people in his department but then people kept calling him Brian

He suspected that it was Jae’s doing but oh well

He’s also in a band and yes he is that Hot Bassist

But listen he’s also helps write the songs for the band and they’re so meaningful although at times it can get sexy does anyone even remember Hunt

He writes and sings it out (and also raps too, seriously what can this man not do??)

but then there is You: the Math major...or was it History? You switched your major a couple of times before you settled in on literature

While readings seem to bore the hell out of everyone, it interested you from analyzing to reading for pure enjoyment

Although the older texts seem to confuse you primarily because of the language but you get through it

People have no idea how you do it but you just shrug it off

You also tend to spend your time in the library when you’re not studying for your other classes or hanging out with friends

Oh yeah, and YoungK’s your boyfriend; people have no idea how you guys even.

Listen, you guys tend to be one of the more “chiller” couples (eye emojis @ the rest of the band who won’t just CHILL but there is Brian so what can you do)

Coffee shops dates are usually a once per week thing because Bri bri here has band practice after his classes and you have a lot of reading to do and those assignments won’t do themselves

But hey you guys talk and sometimes Brian is like “oh wait hold on” and gets out some paper because you tend to be his muse

And there is this Look in his eyes whenever you talk about the latest book that your class is reading or whatever you’re reading and next thing you know the conservation goes waaaay out of hand with a lot of giggles and jokes in between.

There is also jam out sessions when things get too stressful; exams are usually the times where these happen.

Sometimes they’re songs that Brian composed, sometimes they’re very popular songs that happen to be on the playlist

You also request that he dances to SISTAR’s Touch My Body and it was great you even took a video of it and play it whenever you’re sad or stressed out

There is also FOOD.

Midnight snack runs are a common occurrence no matter the season

Like very casually one of you will hit the other up at an ungodly hour

“Hey wanna get food?”

“wtf it’s 2 am. ofc I would  love to get food with you”

Snacks, snacks, and even more snacks

You swear you have a collection growing under your bed

You also usually eat those snacks whenever Brian comes over

There is also Fried Chicken and usually those are eaten on Fridays

Because it’s Fried Chicken Friday

Study sessions are either Very Serious(tm) or you goofing off but it’s usually the former.

Brian knows how serious you can get when it comes to studying so he’ll usually leave you alone unless you’re very stressed and he can usually tell by the way you text or the one look in your eye.

He tries to help out the best he can but seeing as how you two are in different majors, there’s only so much he can do

But also there will be times where Brian needs to be left alone because sometimes he needs space

Oh and there’s a song to be written and composed and that needs his attention

And even though you’re a bit deprived of your Daily YoungK, you understand that he needs to Focus on this

But from time to time, you bring him some food and drink and, very rarely, have to drag him outside because “Brian when was the last time you’ve seen the light of day?”

“Uh....��  he would stammer a bit

“Thought so”

You both comforting each other when things get bad on either of your sides

Cuddle sessions and oh my god Brian gives out the best cuddles

He’s the big spoon, you’re the little spoon and sometimes you just fall asleep

But very rarely he wants to be held and when he does he just sighs and enjoys being held by you

You running your hand through his hair as he talks about what happened and you just humming because you have no words

But that’s alright, he really appreciates the fact that you’re listening and you playing with his hair is a Bonus.

And then when the mood comes, you just buy him hair color spray because you hate to see him damage his hair with constantly dying/bleaching it so you thought hair color spray might be better

He loved it and made sure to show you every color you bought him.

And when the day ends and you’re ready for bed, he’ll give you a call to tell you good night and sweet dreams and hopefully you won’t get nightmares. Also a good night text too.

Then when the day starts all over again, he’ll send you a good morning text and meet you so you can walk to your classes and have coffee and probably spill some tea.

Somewhere along the line, Jae lowkey teases you both through his twitter

Brian gets back at him by starting a Twitter roast session and winning

You obviously cheering on Brian

Basically your relationship with Brian is a very fluffy one with some stress because college is like that but hey you make it work and you make it work epically

Requests will be in the form of a bullet point list of sorts that may or may not be very, very long . On the occasion, I might write a drabble here and there for that AU but that’s going to a very rare occurrence.

On the topic of anything “sensitive”, I won’t write anything that has to do with abuse or anything with self harm.

I don’t write smut but I do write the buildup so that’s the cutoff point (think fade to black)

If there is an AU I’m unsure about, there’s a chance I might have to deny it (mostly fandom fusion AUs); I don’t want to break the world’s rules or anything.
