Sooo, recently I've found a way to fix (in my opinion) "unfinished", alpha custom content made for TS4. First I tried to remodel a high-poly shirt and copy the UV map from the original to the low-poly one. With this method I was able to decrease the polycount from 19k to 1,8k in 2-3 hours.

After that I tried to figure out a faster method and found an open source auto remesher addon/plugin for Blender which cut the work time in half, 1 hour! Tried this plugin out with another shirt and I was able to cut down ~8k polies AND keep the quality that the original shirt had!

Then another one!

I honestly don't know what to say. I am convinced now that most TS4 CC creators only make their work to fill their pockets and wallets. I know they say that they do this out of a hobby, but PLEASE, if you put your work behind a paywall, at least make sure it's optimized.

I return from "hiatus" bearing clay from an entirely different franchise. These were a massive learning curve, but I think I'm pretty happy with the end result. There will be more CK3 conversions in the future if I don't get distracted again... But, more information below the cut!

Unedited Lineup

Hyacinthe V2 is repo'd to and requires V1, and there are 5 ribbon recolors: red, blue, purple, green and white. The textures for the ribbons are in the mesh file.

One big, I guess very important note is that these hairs use full RGB normal maps (as opposed to black and white bump maps TS2 clothes use).

This means if you have normal maps turned off in your game, the hairs might look noticeably different, because the CK3 hair meshes are kind of a beautiful mess under the hood.

The texture for the normal maps is in the mesh files; TS2 saves them in RAW24Bit so they're slightly chunky, hence repo'ing all of the recolors to one mormal map texture. My game ran fine with them, but I guess just a vague all games run different warning.

I'm like positive I'm forgetting something, so this will probably be updated. It's been a while since I've written one of these...

So today we're starting off this month with the gorgeous work of what has to be the most consistently requested creator in my ask box; @daylifesims! Most of these were supposed to be a part of my slightly ill-fated Christmas advent, originally they had weird, crooked smiddle parts. But, now they're all fixed now and ready to go!

Also, everybody say thank you to @suteflower for suggesting that I also convert these for children and toddlers!

INFORMATION:

None of this is my original work! All mesh and texture credit goes to @daylifesims!

Set contains 25 hairs for Toddler ➤ Elder Females.

Set Contains 2 hairs for Toddlers, 13 for Children, 10 for Adults.

All hairs have 1024x textures, All LODs and Custom Thumbnails.

Set Contains all of Daylifesims' ethnic hairs as of 2/7/25 that I haven't been converted to TS3 yet, if there's an ethic hair of hers that you don't see here it's either in the [Janey Braid Set] or my [1k Followers Gift]

Polycounts are ALL over the place. Nothing is over 25k, but as always, please reference the list under the cut before downloading!

Texture on the Acacia Bubbles hair looks SUPER blurry in CAS for some reason? It's normal in game, though.

The [Goddess Set - Alissa] was also converted by the lovely and talented @lalasimmer, Hers is [HERE], if you like both versions they will work in your game with no conflicts!

Graying Facial Hair Recolors

Time's due! Here is the 3rd part of my graying hair rampage! Recolored almost all of the base game facial hair and stubbles.

They connect almost seamlessly to all my previous male graying hairs! Sadly they don't connect so well with DeeDee's graying shortcombed hair, I'll probably do my own recolor so they actually look good together.

I wanted to feel like it’s the early 2000s again, so I decided to make a Sims 2 music video. Evanescence felt like an obvious choice to crank up the nostalgia factor even more. There are probably like 100 sims videos for this song on YouTube already. Well, then now it's 101, I guess. I think the YouTube algorithm is still figuring out who to show this video to, so if you enjoy this type of content, it’d mean a lot to me if you could like/subscribe or leave a comment (feels weird to finally say these words unironically haha).

THE SIMS 3 STORE PRE-INSTALLED

Today marks 25 years of The Sims. Since EA forgot TS3 exists, I’m releasing the entire The Sims 3 Store as an Anniversary Gift. It's all pre-installed and works flawlessly!

It comes with all available fixes and collection folders I’ve personally created for every set. You'll get over 5000 new Buy/Build and CAS items, 11 new worlds, and tons of new gameplay!

INSTRUCTIONS

Go to "Documents/Electronic Arts" and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (or move it).

Create a new folder and name it "The Sims 3" (or whatever the name is in your language).

Extract the contents of the ZIP file in "The Sims 3." Now launch the game.

You'll have to adjust your setting again. Don't forget to disable the in-game Store so you don't get duplicates.

Quit the game. Copy the "Saves" folder from the folder you have previously renamed. You can also copy your Mods and CC in package format.

CAUTION

Never copy over or overwrite the DCCache folder.

If you have content installed through the Launcher (Sims3Pack), you'll have to reinstall it.

I strongly recommend you don't install things through the Launcher from now. It already has a lot of content and it is a known fact the Launcher becomes more and more unstable the more content it has to handle.

Since the entire Store has been decrapified, if you want to install lots or world that contain Store content, you'll have to decrapify those too using MATY's TS3 Recompressor.
