Recently, I updated my profile picture on LinkedIn and made a few more connections. Soon I am going to have a professional headshot done and add on to my resume when I officially graduate from Missouri Western. I am also going to focus on working on my bio to represent who I am and what I enjoy. This will allow for connections and employers to know more about my personality.

I had conversations with the medical college that I had started following on instagram. They were very helpful and able to answer a lot of my questions that I had. This will help me further in my career after college. I can focus on the skills that I need to improve on and have a better understanding of what it takes to be in medical sales.

Scrolling through Twitter I came across this thread of tweets. The account talks about accounting being an important part of running a business. In the thread it highlights the most important parts of accounting and some helpful tips when it comes to accounting. This account could help a future manager or entrepreneur and help simplify the world of accounting. I have accounting experience and can testify that it’s not always the easiest, but it is a necessity in order to understand your business and measure success.

There are many different accounts that you can follow on instagram. One that I have found very interesting is this Medical Sales College. They currently have 12 different campuses across the country that specialize in medical sales. They also link students to post in order for job opportunities to come to them.

I started a LinkedIn not to long ago. At first I didn’t have much experience using it so it was pretty basic. Since, I have taking a social media branding class that has helped me find ways to improve it and use the platform more efficiently. I started creating my profile and am going to really focus on the bio because this is what future businesses will be focused on when analyzing me as a fit for the company. You must describe what sets you apart from others and why the company should invest in you as a employer.

Importance of Social Media
Tumblr media
This is the Googan Squad and they have a huge social media presences amongst fisherman on just about all social media platforms. They do a great job of not only entertaining, but also engaging with their fan base and customers. They give off a very authentic feel and they get to witness them use the same baits that they sell, so you know what you’re getting and how to use it efficiently. They helped me learn that the more authentic a page feels the more engagement that customers will have, and the more open they’ll be to engage with the post.

Here is an instagram page that I follow because I play football and I am a defensive back. Coach Ringo does a great job of taking real life plays from the NFL or college ball and evaluating them. He asks questions underneath as to what went wrong on that play and the adjustments you have to make in order to be in the best position that play. This is how he is able to engage with his audience because he’s not just automatically putting the answer out there. It makes you sit there and watch the rep over and over to figure out what went wrong. Then it helps me apply to my game whenever I get put into the same situations.

This is a medical sales page that I follow on Tik Tok. Legacynowcoaching talks about the entire ins and outs of being in Medical Sales. They talk about how you get your foot in the door, what they look for in representatives, mistakes that someone that is new might make. It’s a very realistic page and it taught me that when you’re genuine about what you’re posting it helps to engage the audience because they can relate to it.
