One of the contractors at work drove past my shack on a forklift yesterday, stopped, backed up to my window and said, “hey, do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend?”

My knee jerk response when asked this, even if it’s by a companionable dude old enough to be my dad, is to go, “uh, nah-” and then ramble uncomfortably until someone stops me-

-which is what I started to do, only to be cut off by Contractor saying, in an embarrassed rush, “some of the guys were asking me because you and I talk sometimes, but I didn’t want them to hit on you at work, so I told them that you Worship the Devil and would Hex them if they tried. I’m sorry.”

Which leaves me wheezing helplessly, trying to get my shit together, because this is honestly one of the nicest, most hysterical things I’ve ever heard someone say to me.

Oblivious to this, Contractor then follows up with, “and they were like ‘forreal??’ so I was like, ‘yeah, she’s probably a sadist, too, you can tell by her jewelry. She’ll stab you or something.’”

And tbh I can’t even come up with anything witty to say in response, so all I manage to choke out is, “pleASE LET THEM CONTINUE TO THINK THAT, I’M BEGGING YOU.”

And Contractor just smiles and is like, “Okay! I just wanted to let you know!” before driving off with his forklift.

Like?? Thank god for Contractor tbh. He’s an angel among men, and I hope the rest of his life is filled with prosperity and happiness and like, that he finds $20 on the ground every week for the rest of his life.

Why do Goblins have to eat trash? Why can’t goblin cuisine simply have a strong emphasis on fermentation and controlled spoilage?

Like fermentation stinks to high heaven and you typically hide it away in dark and cool places. It fits lore wise for a creature that lives in a cave and is described as unclean.

More about Fairyfloss While hir quirk’s true name is Puppetmaster on official paper work hir quirk is down as Paralysis. This is because back in hir childhood before hir quirk developed one of hir classmates was kidnapped. They had developed a powerful combative quirk and were quite boastful about it. Unfortunately this caught a crime syndicate’s eye. Despite investigations that classmate (and other children) were never found. So when Akira developed a powerful quirk of hir own it was hidden by hir parents and disguised as something else. Akira never broke this habit. Naturally information about the rash of kidnappings was kept from the children. This lead to Akira learning to hack. If the authorities weren’t proving any information then ze will just have to go get it hirself. Of cause proficiency in a skill takes time so also spent said years learning how to subtly manipulate other with hir quirk too. Currently Akira works part time at an internet café run by cool as hell sassy grandma. (Think blind al from deadpool) Ze is an anime fan and occasionally programs gaming mods. Due to an incident ze also became a semi-regular at Kurogiri’s bar. Ze originally came in looking for information but really liked his strawberry sundaes. So Akira conned Kurogiri into unlimited VPN internet access and free food and drink in exchange for updating their internet security. Occasionally games with Shigaraki though ze wouldn’t call them friends. (Akira thinks their shady but doesn’t know their villains.) Speaking of friends Akira’s main friend throughout middle school was Shinsou Hitoshi. They met at a cat café where both were regulars. They originally interacted because a particularly fussy cat decided they were both her favourite humans and would complain vocally until they sat side by side so she could lay across both their laps for pets.

Recently fell into My Hero Academia hell so here’s my oc. Name: Akira Kobayashi 明小林

Nickname: Fairy Floss Gender: Genderfluid Age: 14 Quirk: Puppet master. Description: Produces ghostly strings that allow hir to control living beings. The more strings attached the finer the control. Strengths: The strings are invisible and can be used for sensory purposes. The strings can control multiple beings. The strings can control non-living objects but must be made tangible to do so. Weakness: Limited number of strings. The less strings per being the weaker the control. A person with enough focus or strength can overpower the control. When the strings are tangible they can be cut. Cut strings takes months to re grow.
