You're good. Childlessness never bothered me so my heart isn't broken over it. I like kids but I have a limited tolerance for noisy and irrational and clingy behavior. I just wish that doctors would have done something for me earlier.
1 week post op: doing okay. Pain levels okay. Managed to get milk by myself and some tacos.
On 2/28 i underwent a robotic assisted hysterectomy and salpingectomy, leaving only ovaries. I chose this because of easier recovery and less likelihood of nerve damage to my remaining pelvic organs. My reproductive system was so messed up I would likely never have had kids even if I wasn't ace, so I decided to share the details of my messed up innards for posterity and tell you why competent and accessible reproductive healthcare is so so SO important.
Tmi under cut for detailed info.
At the time I was diagnosed with a huge fibroid in the endometrium and more in the muscle and outside of the uterus I already had known PCOS, a chicken egg sized ovarian tumor removed and natbothian cysts which were bad enough. My uterus was enlarged to 12 week pregnancy size and the biggest fibroid was so big and the bleeding so heavy I was overflowing a menstrual cup at least twice a day for my heaviest days and I had to wear pads with it. My periods also went from five days to almost two weeks. It was well managed with the patch until I had a provoked DVT and had to go off it. Immediately it became much worse. An IUD did not help after it got displaced and it was removed and hysterectomy surgery booked. I suffered months while waiting.
They found adenomyosis (endometrium going in the uterine wall) a bigish cyst, dialated adnexa (vessels in parts of reproductive system which can cause pelvic pain) fibroids, endometriosis in my peritoneum and behind my cervix, endometriosis caused adhesions to my colon (no wonder I was always constipated lately) early changes in endometrium that are the precursor to precancer, and last but not least internal prolapse of the rectum that after begging I finally got repaired after 30 years. It was caused by my caregivers abusively shaming as a child over toilet clogging constipation causing me to hold it more to avoid using the toilet at home giving me more constipation and internal damage, opioids caused further damage after another surgery.
I should have had this done a decade ago. It's criminal that I had to suffer this long. Even one week post op I felt better than I have for months and I'm not even constipated anymore. I'm occasionally bleeding a little because of the vaginal and perineal stitches and very easily tired and I got sore just getting a half gallon of milk, but I actually feel like myself.

Pathology came back. They found some abnormalities, including some early changes that could become precancerous, but it wasn't at that stage yet. I'm still in a lot of pain but I've been able to take in liquids and started eating a little again.

I got through my hysterectomy surgery despite having such low O2 sats they had trouble bringing me out of it. My uterus was the size of a 12 week pregnancy, and I unknowingly had another big cyst and endometriosis complete with scarring and adhesions. The surgeon also repaired some prolapsing. I'm in an unbelievable amount of pain but it was worth it to end the misery. I most likely never would have been able to have kids even if I wanted them.

Lake Superior especially is powerful enough to wash away chunks of the shore and everything on it very much like a hurricane storm surge. I've seen it with my own eyes.

It begs the question: Is it still "Fuck Around and Find Out" if they're genuinely too stupid to find out? How much self-confidence must you lack to say, "I don't care if I get screwed if someone else gets screwed worse than me"?

Discord is officially blocked in Russia
anti-DPI programs can handle Discord here's Goodbye DPI w/ GUI here's ByeDPI, possibly nicest solution for Android other variants can be found here
regarding VPNs - Windscribe is still the real one, w/ non-standard protocols and special "hostile network" switch, one problem though - limited traffic, so you most likely have to juggle it w/ some noname VPN apps or proxy add-ons
note that it's illegal in Russia to talk about blocks circumvention, so if you don't live in Russia, please share this post, so your followers, who live there could see it and use it

I think a lot of what pro-AI people are really wanting is stuff that already exists but they don't know it's out there like
can't format a work email? templates
don't know how to write a resume? templates
writing a thank you card or a condolences card or a wedding invitation? templates templates templates
not sure how to format your citations in MLA or whatever format? citationmachine.net
summary of something you're reading for school/work? cliffnotes.com
recipe based on ingredients in your fridge? whatsintherefrigerator.com
there's a million more like, guys, we don't need AI, we never needed generative AI

I have a new YYH Christmas headcanon:
Hiei scoffs at human yuletide traditions but LOVES KFC (because that's what they eat in Japan at Christmas) and steals some for himself. (and its totally in character for him to steal food, especially food he can't cook over an open fire out wherever he camps)
Yusuke: Mom, where's the KFC?
Atsuko: it disappeared. *shrugs and goes back to her drink and tv shows*
Yusuke: *office stare*
*cut to Hiei enjoying his Christmas KFC dinner up a tree*

I had a thought after seeing a photo of a cat asleep in a wok. I thought that perhaps cats in containers were the inspiration for the enigma of the amigara fault.
Cat: this wok was made for me! PURRRRR PURRRRR PURRRRR
(Thanks to @bizarrolord for the purr purr purr part)
