The first man who took a selfie
Tumblr media
This is the first person who took a selfie around 1970. I saw it at Amsterdam museum.
Imagine how the process was complicated 30 years ago. He had to use a film camera so he couldn't check how it looks immediately, at least he would have had to wait few days. He can’t know even if he managed to take only a half of his face until it’s developed. Plus, the camera probably doesn’t have an auto-focus function, it means he had to set the focus based on the length of his arm before taking it.
That’s crazy, isn’t it? I never do it even if I was in 30 years ago. His attempt must have been unique then, but no one didn’t understand, so definitely the films would have been wasted until someone discovered it 30 years later!
I guess this kind of art is easy to understand looking “backwards”, but not current or future. Some of the famous artists like Van Gogh and Vermeer became famous after they died.

This is another photo of “Modern Art” in the museum which is created recently.

The fan is actually working, and when the paper touches the guitar string, it makes a sound from the amp! Would it be a variable art? --- We’ll know 30 years or even 100 years later. My first impression about this from my perspective is “WTF”! Probably I’m just an idiot, let’s see in the future.
