Khaos Reigns update:

We have the full gameplay trailer for the T-1000 and man is his gameplay looking awesome!

We get more of his gameplay, which is stemmed in his Liquid Metal shapeshifting. It’s also filled with references to Judgement Day! We also get a look at his fatal blow, which is super brutal! Madam Bo’s part of the FB is hilarious, the dreaded slipper! 🤣

Then there’s his second fatality, which is all about his shapeshifting! I mean, turning into his opponent and absolutely skewering them, brutal… and his animality is a police dog! Very thematic…

Overall, I can’t wait for next week!

Khaos Reigns update:

We have a teaser trailer for the final guest character of Kombat Pack 2, the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day! He’s even being voiced by the original actor, Robert Patrick! How cool is that?!

It seems like most of his gameplay mechanics stem from him being a mimetic polyalloy, also known as a liquid metal shapeshifter; he can turn into a blob and reform instantly, and can turn his arms into blades. And just like the T-800, he doesn’t show off, he’s just efficient in what he does best - termination. We even get a look at one of his fatalities, which is his truck kill from the film! And for any of you who haven’t watched it, it’s as gory as it sounds. (Poor Johnny, he’s really not getting the break he needs…)

But the biggest surprise to me and I’m guessing to the rest of the players is that we have one more Kameo joining the roster: Madam Bo herself from the story mode! For those of your who forgot, she is one of Raiden and Kung Lao’s mentors back in Fengjian, who taught them basic martial arts, runs the Teahouse and used to be a member of the Lin Kuei. She set up the entire test that proved them worthy of becoming Shaolin Monks under Liu Kang’s guidance. So if anyone deserves that last Kameo spot, it’s her.

Overall, the gameplay looks amazing and I can’t wait to see it in action on March 18th!

Unfortunately, this might be the last DLC for MK1, so fingers crossed we might get some other good news from Netherrealm Studios…

Khaos Reigns update:

We have the official gameplay trailer for Conan the Barbarian, and it is just as brutal as I imagined for him!

His gameplay was very much focused on his sword and his brute strength, which I kinda expected given from what I’ve read about him on the wiki. There were some very interesting moves that caught my attention, like him throwing his kameo at his opponent, him deflecting projectiles and his resurrection mechanic. He’s definitely gonna be a hard one to beat, but I assume the limits and intricacies of them will be explained in the next Kombat Kast…

As for his finishers, the fatal blow was so brutal; I never knew the hilt of a sword could hurt as much as the blade… His fatality tho! Was that boiling acid?! How did it not melt his sword?! It’s a very brutal and painful easy to die, for sure! And his animality is a bull! Those horns have to hurt…

Luckily, we don’t have to wait too long because he’s available to play on Jan 21st, which is Tuesday next week! I may not know much about the character, but I bet longtime fans of him are stoked to see him! Maybe some of you could explain his story in the comments or reposts? To help me understand his intros…

Khaos Reigns update:

We got a teaser for the next guest character of Kombat Pack 2, Conan the Barbarian!

It was pretty short, but from what I can tell, his sword is gonna be a big part of his gameplay. Me personally, I don’t know much about the character apart from that he can be brutal in combat and that he was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, so if anyone wants to inform me on the basics of Conan, it’ll be very appreciated…

It’s hard to tell if he’s voiced by Arnie himself or if they got an impersonator, but I bet he’s gonna be fun to play. Shame we have to wait until January to play him in Early Access…

Khaos Reigns update:

The gameplay trailer of Ghostface debuted in his Kombat Kast and I’m so hyped!

There’s not only one Ghostface, but three?! 🤯 Apparently the Ghostface from the movies recruited two from the Black Dragon! In the Kast, they called them the Enforcer and the Assassin, but my theory is they’re Kobra and Kira respectively. (Oh yeah, we going all the way back to Deception with these two)

The gameplay perfectly embodies the iconic slasher, with the sheer bloodiness and ruthlessness he’s known for. The fact that you can switch between the three Ghostfaces definitely opens up a lot of damage opportunities. That fatal blow was so brutal, I felt that in my hand!

And his fatality! Poor Johnny, he just wanted to play the game… As for the the Animality, he turns into a vulture! Fitting for a very brutal character, but I also thought he could be a murder of crows…

Overall, I’m so hyped for Ghostface’s arrival in the realms! It’s bound to be a bloody good time… 😈

Khaos Reigns update:

We have some dialogue and gameplay for Ghostface, and it’s as bloody as we expected! As with most Scream movies, there’s always two killers and the fact that they also integrated that into his gameplay makes me so happy!

As for the clash at the start of the match, he has a tape recorder, which is so 90’s!

What’s funny is that he has Stryker, an actual cop, as a Kameo. Kinda ironic since he gets pursued by the police in the Scream films…

Soon, we might get a full gameplay trailer, but just this little nugget is getting me hyped already!

Khaos Reigns update:

We have a teaser for the first guest character for the DLC, Ghostface! We’ve already seen one of his fatalities in a previous trailer but now we have a little bit more content! And in October AKA Halloween season…

We now know his gear is his iconic mask, notable ones being the red devil mask, a bloody mask, one with Scorpion’s OG mask, one with Tarkatan teeth and spikes, and a weathered mask, so we can expect some cool gear and skin combos…

They also showed what seemed to be his other fatality, where the victim is watching a horror movie and as they watch, Ghostface appears behind them and goes in for the kill! Honestly, a very fitting fatality for a slasher like him! I think with each character, they’ll say something unique before their end, so we can see what they really think of horror movies…

There’s even a little snippet of his victory pose, and I have to say, it’s bloody fantastic! (Pun intended)

Overall, I am so excited for his entry into the realms! I’m really looking forward to his pre fight intros, his arcade ending, his dialogue, his brutalities, animality, and his gameplay! But we have to wait so long for the release, Nov 19th… hopefully we might get a full gameplay trailer by Halloween, but it may be a bit optimistic…

It may have been short, but the story mode for Khaos Reigns was so fun! Here are some notable moments for me:

Spoilers Ahead! ⚠️

The wedding! It was so beautiful before the Lin Kuei crashed it…

Havik being terrifying as ever. Dude’s a menace in all timelines…

Johnny shenanigans! He’s still making references and being a goofy little guy. And his WW2 doppelgänger was just as funny!

The Khaos Takahashis! Like father like son, they are both so hot! Kenshi’s mohawk, Takeda’s hair, both shirtless with sexy voices, I am a Takahashi stan no matter what!

Noob x Sektor: so unexpected, but also kinda nice. Bi-Han has a partner in crime just as devious as him, good for him!

Emperor Rain and Empress Tanya! Their chemistry was on point and they’re both so cute together! It’s a shame Rain met his demise in the Maze…

The squad pulled up in the most epic fashion to kick some Khaos butt!

Cyrax’s entire arc! I’m so glad she got the forgiveness she wanted from Scorpion, she’s gonna be a great Shirai Ryu…

All that’s left is to wait for the guest characters to arrive…

There are already videos of Cyrax’s, Sektor’s and Noob’s ladder endings, the intro to the DLC (which is overtaken by Titan Havik’s chaos) and some of the animalities, so expect the next post to be my reaction to the story…

Khaos Reigns update:

Another trailer for the DLC dropped today and it just makes me even more excited for the release!

We get to see some more segments of the story mode, more gameplay from the new fighters, more cosmetics, even more animalities and even a look at Ghostface’s fatality!

We know most of the details of the story mode, but the rest is shrouded in mystery, and hopefully all our questions will be answered once the expansion comes out…

The new animals for the animalities shown were a phoenix and a mammoth, who were Liu Kang and Sub-Zero respectively. I’m really glad they brought this fatality concept back for the DLC!

As for Ghostface, his fatality is straight out of a horror movie, and if you’ve watched the movies, there’s always more than one killer revealed at the end… it just makes me even more excited for his release after the DLC drops! He’s the one I’ve been really looking forward to…

Also, I don’t know if i had the same reaction as everyone else, but when Liu Kang said “we try to break the cycle of violence” and what follows is a quick montage of fatalities I low key laughed at the irony…

Overall, I am onboard the hype train and waiting so eagerly for the expansion’s release! I seriously can’t wait a whole week for this!!!!

Khaos Reigns update:

Another day, another Kombat Pack 2 character and story trailer, and this time it’s all about Noob Saibot!

We already have seen some elements of his story from the previous trailers, like the fact that Bi-Han jumps after Titan Havik through the portal to Chaosrealm, and, mostly likely, after getting his ass kicked, he gets turned into the shadowy wraith we all know him as. But it seems that Havik’s brainwashing may not be as permanent as he thinks as Liu Kang, as always, has a way with words since we see them back to back together in battle. We also get a look at even more alternate palettes for some of the roster as the Brotherhood of Khaos and some of the new stages in Chaosrealm…

Gameplay wise, we still have his signature portals and shadow clones, but it looks like they both got a major upgrade for the new era. It leaves open a ton of combo possibilities to annihilate the competition. As for his Fatal Blow and Fatality, it looks like he’ll be giving no mercy to those who oppose him. It might be even more brutal in his Animality as both him and his shadow clone turn into crocodiles to get the job done…

Overall, the shadow wraith is back and better than ever! He’s bound to be a menace in online play… As for the guest fighters in the Kombat Pack, their trailers might come after the release of the DLC, so stay tuned for that!

Khaos Reigns update:

The latest gameplay and story trailer for the next Kombat Pack 2 character has been released, and it’s all about Sektor!

We already know about her unwavering loyalty to the Lin Kuei and Sub-Zero, but the concern on her face when he jumps after Titan Havik and the fact that she’s willing to go into enemy territory to get him back just cements it. Speaking of Titan Havik, it looks like he’ll invade the royal palace and the kombatants there will fight him off before he retreats. We also see some of the Khaos doppelgängers fighting for Havik and the palettes do not disappoint! We should also acknowledge that Johnny actually flirted with Sektor when they first meet, classic Cage behaviour right there…

As for gameplay, we still the klassic missiles and flamethrowers, but we also have cybernetic arms and blasters. They’ll definitely be really powerful if used in the right kombo. We also got to see her fatal blow and one of her fatalities, which definitely show off the full potential of her power suits… As for the animality, she’ll be turning into a rhino to get the job done. We see her with Khameleon, Jax and Sonya as kameos but imagine having Klassic Sektor as a Kameo, a Sektor-ception…

Overall, she looks amazing and gameplay is phenomenal! Only one more character trailer to go before the release of the DLC…

Khaos Reigns update:

We have a gameplay and story trailer for our first character for Kombat Pack 2, Cyrax!

In the story, it looks like she sticks to the basic principles of the clan but follows Bi-Han. Honestly, good for her. And obviously we see more of the Sektor Vs Cyrax fight which seems to get pretty personal. We get another look at Scorpion and Harumi’s wedding which as we already know the Lin Kuei crash. (Also, Johnny’s still making as many references as he can, classic him)

As for her gameplay, we still have the klassic nets, teleports and bombs but the new era gave them an upgrade, with bombs that follow its target and there’s even a new aspect, solidifying foam that can trap opponents. Her fatality and fatal blow are the cherries on top as they’re sure to make heads roll. We even get a look at her animality, where she turns into a giant wasp and stings the opponent. I wonder if there’ll be any players who choose Klassic Cyrax as their Kameo with her, it’ll be like a Cyrax-ception!

Overall, I’m pretty excited! Can’t wait for the next trailer!

Bad news, MK onslaught players:

Bit late to this, but it’s being taken offline. The story is already wrapped up and there’s nothing else to expand upon. For those who were there since the beginning, like me, it was fun to explore this story and play through both the main campaign and the Khronicles. It may have been hard but it was fun.

Farewell Onslaught. It was nice while it lasted. 🫡

Long rant with Spoilers Ahead! ⚠️

Who watched the MK1 Khaos Reigns trailer? Because I have so many thoughts:

Noob Saibot is back! How can Bi-Han be so hot as a human and wraith? (Or whatever Havik made him into…) Plus his gameplay looks so cool!

Sektor and Cyrax are girls in the new era, and they have cyber suits instead of being fully robotic. Honestly, I’m here for it! (And before the haters come for me, it’s a new era. Everything is different. Grow up.) Both of their gameplays look amazing!

Titan Havik may be even more deadly than Titan Shang Tsung, and I’m terrified… (also were those infinity stones in his chest? What’s up with that?)

We’re finally gonna see Scorpion and Harumi’s wedding! I’m so happy for him, even though it might get crashed by the Lin Kuei…

I think Takeda might get involved in the story! I would know those whips anywhere…

We also got our first look at some other guest characters:

I can’t wait to see how they play, their intros, fatalities and arcade endings! So hyped!

And finally they revealed the return of Animalities, where the fighters morph into animals and absolutely destroy their opponents!

We know for sure about Mileena turning into a giant mantis but here are my guesses for some of the animalities:

Rain - Blowfish

Scorpion - a giant scorpion

Liu Kang or Raiden? - a giant hippo

Quan Chi or Ermac? - a T-Rex skeleton

? - Hyena, Gorilla

In conclusion, the story is gonna be epic and the gameplay is about to get even more fun! But the wait is gonna be long…

We did it. We finally got a sneak peek of the bestest boi from MKX for the MK1 Kombat Pack. You know who I’m talking about…

Takeda freaking Takahashi is back!

His VO from MKX is voicing him again, and he retains his signature weapons, as seen in his gameplay. He’ll also be released with Ferra, previously teased with Homelander, so it’ll basically be a MKX return spectacular!

July 23 can’t come soon enough!
