Stranger Things 4 Spoilers!!!

the thing about stranger things is that there’s no stakes for the main/core cast. like they are put into situations that are stressful and make you worried for them but there’s generally no reason to think they’re going to die because the duffer brothers never commit.

their go to is always: kill a character people want to die (billy, brenner, any villain) or kill a character who has been introduced in that season (bob, eddie, alexei) and who were side characters in their season. And the main cast is always safe, even when they get “deaths” (hopper, max).

and i’m not saying the show needs to have major character deaths but when the writers themselves are teasing the fans by saying that there’s going to be five major deaths in vol 2 and those deaths are characters who aren’t important or who we want to see die.... it’s really just as empty as every other promise the show says they’ll see through.
