People who engage in the Hetalia fandom while openly disliking the source material and even Himaruya himself sound kinda like hypocrites to me. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but please stay away from me, this kind of mindset truly annoys me and makes me uncomfortable. Am I gatekeeping? No, not really, I just believe that being a fan of something should mean, you know, being a fan and liking the source material at the very least. It should be like, the lowest the bar can get. Below that, there's not being a fan.

Funfact, hetalia become the reason why i try so hard learning english because anything related to hetalia only exist internationally. I tried watching the english dub, but the heavy accent and with how fast they talk make me unable to understand what the fuck they're talking about. for me the English dub is just extra omake since they're so different than the original material (especially the older one)

I'm not adding a "I watched a Fandub" option because I don't think there's a fandub that covers every single season or most of them, but leaving an 'Other' option just in case.

My fellow multishippers, do you have a certain pairing where you’re happy to ship Character A with others, but Character B is only allowed to be with A?

That’s me with Arthur and Francis, respectively. I can ship Mr. Slutty Englishman with almost anyone (USUK, PrUK, SpUK, PortEng, etc.) but France is totally different. Unless he’s joining their Dover strait, I don’t want it. Any other relationship is just “pre-canon” for the eventual FrUK which happens later. Like sometimes I’ll ship a little Auld Alliance era ScotFra, but it’s with the knowledge they’ll eventually break up and be replaced by FrUK. Meanwhile if Arthur gets together with someone else, Francis just stays alone. Arthur finding non-French love means Francis becomes le bachelor eternal

Which is all terribly unfair to poor Francis, but the shipper’s heart wants what it wants so whaddya gonna do heh
