hi guyssssss hgsn fandom I NEED YALL!!!!!!!!! i need help with some translation problems with the physical manga.

my friend got the physical volume 5 of the manga, it's in spanish and the translation is made by "panini", an book publisher in argentina.

there's this one scene where they're at the beach and 'hikaru' confess his feelings, the thing is that i noticed that in the translation they put "i really like you, yoshiki" (it sounds more in a friendly way) and that seems a little strange to me since in the unnoficial translations and even in the one i tried to do of that scene 'hikaru' express his feeling with "i love you".

i was planning on buying a physical copy made by another publisher called "milky way ediciones", but it's from spain, and the prices that i found here in argentina are too much. so i would like to know if someone who has volume 5 in english or the translation made by "milky way ediciones" could tell me what does it say in that part cuz i can't find a picture anywhere and i NEED to know if 'hikaru' really did confess to yoshiki. i know the existence of the yenpress official translation but i can't buy it 💔

Like Yoshiki said, Akiakane and Natsuakane are actually very similar. Akiakane are some of the most common dragonflies in japan, and they journey to the mountains in the summer, then return home in fall. Natsuakane are smaller than Akiakane, and return in summer, then leave in fall. The two can be differentiated best by the pattern on their chests.

I think that "Hikaru" is meant to be the Natsuakane, while Hikaru is the Akiakane. In Hikaru losing his life, having gone to the mountains that summer, "Hikaru" gained a life and returned in his place. So, just like the dragonfly they mention, he should not be there at all. It is not his place.

"Hikaru" also seems to only open his chest around Yoshiki, showing the singular physical difference between him and Hikaru. His "Core" or "True Self" is sort of like the chest markings of the dragonflies, the only differentiator. Yoshiki, knowing Hikaru best, was the only one to have noticed the difference. Like he said, they look pretty much the same, but are entirely different.

He also said that the dragonfly is "not really that red anymore," so it's hard to tell. It has been easy for "Hikaru" to adjust to Hikaru's life, just like that. But because of a small mishap, for whatever reason, he will never fully be able to take his place.

For "Hikaru," showing his True Self is sort of like showing him his heart/true feelings. But if he doesn't want to get caught, why doesn't he just knock Yoshiki out and make him forget? Why should he trust him?

Like the panel says, a theme of Demian is duality. I think that suits "Hikaru" very well. He is a sort of amalgamation of Yoshiki's friend and something ... strange. Something he can't understand. In Demian, "Demian tells Sinclair that if he ever feels like he needs help, he no longer needs to call Demian. He simply needs to look inside himself and he will see that Demian is within him. With that, Demian gives him a light kiss on the lips—a kiss that he says is from Frau Eva—and vanishes into the night." (Explanation I found on the internet!)

But, who exactly is Frau Eva? "She represents the concept of the "universal mother." Possessing all the qualities of Demian, but in greater intensity, she comes to represent that very goal for which Sinclair is striving." (Explanation I found on the internet!)

Again, it seems to represent the three characters very well. In this case, Demian would be "Hikaru," Yoshiki, Emil, and Hikaru, Frau Eva. Hikaru is what Yoshiki longs for the most. He is perfection and everything in his eyes. Perfection, as in, what "Hikaru" should be. But "Hikaru" is only a fraction of Hikaru. All he has is remnants and pieces of him left in his body. He is an entirely seperate entity.

On the topic of, "looking inside and seeing Demian is within him," I'm not sure if these panels are a reference to that, or not. The whole gym scene seems to parallel that in a way, also since Hikaru inserts a small piece of himself inside Yoshiki later on.

"Hikaru" says, "it feels good," and seems to enjoy it? And Yoshiki is extremely embarrassed. It definitley has undertones of the two of them trying something daring, which they even call out themselves constantly throughout the whole gym chapter.

But, since "Hikaru" is not human, why does he let Yoshiki get so close to him?

"Hikaru" says that his body, which is Hikaru's, has remnants of feelings left behind in it. It's difficult for him to tell which are his or Hikaru's. While it's clear that "Hikaru" has come to like Yoshiki, it's implied that the feelings similar to "love" come from Hikaru. Inside of "Hikaru" right now, is an amalgamation of both his and Hikaru's feelings for Yoshiki.

Hikaru was most likely in love with him in a romantic sense, but what about "Hikaru?" What are his motives and feelings?

It is because "Hikaru" is lonely. And being around Yoshiki makes him feel less lonely. He can feel like someone may truly be able to understand him. Even after figuring out he wasn't Hikaru, Yoshiki doesn't out "Hikaru" for what he is. And he in turn wants to understand Yoshiki, and protect him.

Because Yoshiki is one of the things that mames him feel the most, in both aspects as "Hikaru" and Hikaru.

I feel like, later down the line, we may get some sort of confession scene from "Hikaru?" That way, he will reveal both his and Hikaru's feelings for Yoshiki. Sort of like Demian relaying to Emil that his kiss is from Frau Eva. It will nost likely be when he leaves, though.

Im really enjoying the scanlation of "the summer hikaru died" specifically cause thats a mother fucker who gets an american southern dialect. To often translaters remove dialect instead of adapting em.
