I'm worried about how they are treating Nick

They really seem to be going heavy on the slapstick toward Nick.

He also keeps getting left behind and shown incompetently compared to Judy.

Look at how far behind he is in that chase. He kept up with her consistently in Z1.

One of the things that got me excited about Zootopia 2 at D23 was this render of Nick that was released.

He's there! With HIS badge! He put the labor in too. He did the training too. He worked his ass off for six months, passed, and got into Prescient 1 just like Judy.

I was ready to see how his abilities were honed since going through the academy.

In the first movie he clearly wasn't trained in certain techniques(like diving and crawling). I am ready to see his growth.

And even though he didn't have proper police training Nick was still agile. Climbing up roofs while holding a jumbo pop, sliding down gutters,

jumping over hurdles,

keeping pace with Judy, reacting in a split second and saving her!

The thing I love about the teaser that came out earlier this year is Nick and Judy are equals in it.

Judy and Gary relying on Nick.

Nick and Gary relying on Judy.

Gary relying on Judy AND Nick.

Nick and Judy being on the same wavelength.

The teaser is superior in this regard.

Disney, PLEASE, I know you hate male characters being on any sort of level as their female counterparts but PLEASE! Can you not be Disney for 5 MINUTES!!!

i want this just as much as I want WildeHopps. I love both Nick and Judy. I love their dynamic and their relationship. I want them to be equals in both brains and brawn. I want to love this movie so I hope they shoved all the slapstick against Nick into this one trailer as a misguided attempt at being funny and the rest of the movie handles the characters right and use actual humor not physical pain to get their laughs.

It's driving me crazy and taking the excitement out of me. It wasn't funny the first 5 times so I don't know why people think it'll be funny the 70th time. I'm just blocking every single person who makes the joke because I don't care to see what else they have to say in regards to the movie.

Okay people making jokes about the Zootopia abortion comic being the reason Nick and Judy are in partner therapy in the sequel was funny at first but now it’s getting annoying

I've been playing around with a Chloe centric AU that diverges from season 6. I was inspired by Miraculous Tales: Vinegar and Honey by @mattw83 and @wild-mare-of-prosecution

I've story boarded quite a few chapters but I know I'm not going to be able to make this a full fledge project.

But I had an itch to draw something from this AU in a proper manga style instead of just a doodle/storyboard and this is the chapter I chose..... So.... sorry about that. Must be kind of weird to just get thrown into the middle of a story you have no context for.

You may have some questions so I have a few answers below the cut if you're interested.

Chloe is in Paris?

Yes. She got tired of England and came back to Paris. Pretty easy when you're rich and your parents don't care about you.

Why is she back in Paris?

She wants to dance. She wants to embrace her love of ballet and is laser focus on one day becoming a Prima Ballerina. But for herself. Not to show off. Not for her mothers attention. But for her own happiness. Ballet is very important to her in this story.

Chloe has Pollen?

Yes but she's not supposed to. No one but Luka is aware she has Pollen back. Ladybug and the other heroes are worried about what happened to Pollen because she(and her Miraculous) were stolen from Vesperia.

Who is Breezee?

Breezee is the Dove Kwami and she belongs to my OCs who are the ones who stole Pollen. They asked Chloe to watch Breezee for them for a bit as payment for them getting Chloe the Bee Miraculous back(Chloe didn't ask them to do that they just did it on a whim and now Chloe is stuck with this sticky situation)

What is her hero names for these new transformations?

Her dove transformation is "Dovely". Dove+Lovely and her costume looks like Odette, the white swan, from the ballet Swan Lake. As for the new bee transformation I haven't thought of a name yet. Her suit is based off 'ballet-core' fashion. It can't be 'Beeloved' because I have plans for that name. So if anyone have any suggestions for this ballet Bee transformation let me know!

Is this a redemption story?

Not exactly. It's more of a story where Chloe can finally find happiness, friendship, family, and love. She doesn't want to be a villian. She doesn't want to be a hero. She still hates Ladybug but is relatively lukewarm to her former classmates. She wants to be left alone to dance but unexpectantly Luka finds his way into her life and she starts opening up more. At most she goes into anti-hero statues.

Is everything through Season 5 canon?

No. While I do use Rose's dialogue from the episode Derision the moment shown in Chloe's flashback thoughts above are from a separate, non-canon, moment. Derision as a whole is NOT-CANON in this story. BS episode. Chloe has never locked Sabrina into closets but she was betrayed by Sabrina. Chloe is manipulated by Hawke Moth and Lila to help them and does go down a villainous path before being abandon by her father and shipped away with her mother. That's when she starts to break.

Will I do more?

More of these manga style chapters? Probably not. They take me forever and I have to many interests and to small of an attention span to really dedicate to this. I will probably draw more chapters in my story board which are way quicker to pump out because they are small, quick doodle, frames. If people are really interested to see what else I have written for this story let me know with a comment. I am willing to refine my storyboards to be a little more comprehensible for others other than me to see. As long as everyone understand that they ARE storyboards. They will be doodles and not refined manga panels. And the dialogue and story will be in the 'rough draft' stage of development. I also draw chapters as I think of them so several will be in order and then time and events will suddenly jump forward out of no were. Again let me know if that interests you at all or else I won't bother.

Mrs Wilde holding little Nick plush! Got this in the mail today and she is so cute! This, along with a Bonnie holding a little Judy plush, came out earlier this year at Disney Shanghai. I think this is the only merch she's had and the only thing that shows her face. I've seen her appear in some comics but her face is always obscured.

I don't know if this means she'll be in Zootopia 2 because it seems like this and the Bonnie one came out around mothers day so it may just be a coincidence that it was released the same year as Z2.

I know her roll will be minimum but it's such a stark contrast to how she looked in the first film it would have been funny to see her pop up like this.

I collect Zootopia merch so I check Chinese and Japan sites regularly for new stuff and that's how I found her(all the best merch is in China and Japan). I think this is the only thing released with her face on it. She appeared in comics but her face was always obscured or not in frame of the panel.

I’ve mentioned before that after Zootopia 2 I’d love it if the movies got a spinoff series, and if that happens then I’d love it if Nick’s mom shows up in an episode (multiple episodes would be great too)

Of course it would also be amazing if she shows up in the sequel, but something tells me that won’t happen (obviously we won’t know till the movie comes out but I just have a weird gut feeling).

Small Lukloe family comic. Chloe doesn't put up with Audrey's shit when it comes to her daughter(she runs the hotel now).

Read under the cut if you wanna read about Medli's relationships with her grandmother and grandfather(not required reading though. You can really headcanon what you want)

Medli likes Audrey more than Andrea. She knows Audrey doesn't like her or her mommy and daddy and that that won't change so she doesn't worry about getting Audrey's approval like Chloe did and just brushes off her hostility. She just finds it funny. Andrea tries to butter her up with gifts but Medli just wonders if he'll abandon her like he did Chloe if she does something bad which depresses Andrea. To Medli she's okay with Audrey being a bitch because at least she knows what to expect from her. But Andrea she sees as fake and doesn't know if she can trust his actions as genuine(this is from Medli's point of view I personally don't think she would ever do anything extreme enough for Andrea to feel the need to turn his back on his granddaughter. I just want him to suffer a little for his shit parenting). This has caused strain with Luka and Andrea as well because a few times Medli has had nightmares where she's done something bad and Luka leaves her because of it.

Medli gets along great with Anarka, Jagged Stone, and Penny. She adores Juleka and loves Rose and Zoe too. And she sees Armand as her grandpa more than Andrea.

For May the Fourth be with you, a Miraculous Crossover with Star Wars. Digitally painted the first image, based off of the Empire Strike back poster of Han and leia.

The doodles were based on other idea's I had, based on scenes from the Original Trilogy.
