so don’t mind me or anything but... i just remembered that this year will mark 8 years since t.ron l.egacy’s release and i want to politely choke bc we’re never getting a 3rd movie.

6. what is your character reluctant to tell people? (bc someone sent the same one i sent before so here's a different one :'))

if  there’s  anything  he’s  reluctant  to  tell  people  it’d  be  what  he  feels.  there  was  no  time  for  him  to  do  that,  no  time  to  experience  speaking  one  on  one  with  others,  no  time  to  bond  with  family.  being  able  to  do  that  is  crucial  in  the  early  stages  of  one’s  life.  he  joined  the  protectorate  before  he  could  see  the  world,  before  he  had  a  chance  to  develop  a  mentality  of  his  own.  he  adopted  the  protectorate’s  mentality:  kill  &  conquer  and  then  later  on  the  ruthless  “envoy  mentality” (which  is  why  i  feel  like  it’s  easy  for  him  to  accidentally  soak  up  other  people’s  views  but  that’s  another  story).  tak  doesn’t  go  out  of  his  way  to  speak  about  himself  feeling  wise,  unless  it’s  to  someone  he’s  built  up  a  bond  with.  he  doesn’t  even  truly  open  up  when  he’s  drunk  unless  it’s  to  people  he  hallucinates  y’know.

what are your character’s major flaws? [ hi i love my boy tak and i will defend him ]

well,  where  do  i  begin…  tak  has  been  described  as  a  flat  out  sociopath (i  just  don’t  believe  he’s  at  the  far  right  of  the  scale),  or  at  the  very  least  someone  with  sociopathic  traits  /  behavior.  he  is  charming  &  can  put  up  whatever  persona  needed,  but  he  isn’t  abusive  toward  people  ( like  his  father )  or  animals  for  the  simple  sake  of  it —— he  doesn’t  find  any  pleasure  in  the  act  of  killing.

and  on  a  similar  note,  another  flaw  of  tak's  is  how  desensitized  he  is  toward  violence.  it’s  become  second  nature  to  him,  and  the  most  goriest  of  acts  don’t  even  being  to  phase  him.  for  example:  the  moment  in  which  he  saw  anemone’s  ( alice, the  sex  worker )  body  completely  butchered  after  he  escaped  the  VR  construct,  he  responded  by  killing  everyone  in  the  building.  given  his  history  with  violence  itself  ( i  think  we  can  all  agree  that  his  form  of  killing  can  get  pretty  brutal,  both  in  the  show  &  book )  like  going  through  countless cycles  of  virtual  torture,  a  bunch  of  his  sleeves  dying  due  to  brutal  deaths,  and  his  early  childhood,  it’s  only  understandable.  the  virtual  torture  scene  we  saw  on  the  show  was  only  a  glimpse  of  what  happened  in  the  books.
