Birthplace: Krakow, Poland

Family: Her human family is meaningless, as she was kidnapped at six years old and raised by the Sangiovanni family of necromancer vampires. She was chosen by the Matriarch to become her daughter's ward, as the family line was dying out and needed new blood to intermingle with their mortal children. They tried to marry her off to her foster brother. Tabby wasn't thrilled, and jumped on the chance to go to America instead to aid the family overseas. She was embraced as a vampire once she reached the New World.

Job(s): As a loyal member of the Sangiovanni for many years, and perhaps the most personable of her twisted brethren in New York City, she was their...public relations with other vampires.

Phobias:  The madness of age, losing her own morality, her own habitual inaction and the consequences of it. Small dogs.

Guilty pleasures: Classic cars, vintage pearl jewelry, intricately plotting the demise of people she hates in bed at dawn, comforter tucked under her chin. She claims it helps her stay positive.

Hobbies: Gardening, cultivating her Rose Wives, zombies of her murdered lovers that host living, thriving roses she carefully hybridizes in her greenhouse. Playing piano. Puzzles.

Morality alignment: Chaotic Good(ish), which is odd for a necromancer, but she's very singular.

She's the type of person who has to be pushed to the edge to do anything, which hasn't been good for the people who love her. One could make the argument that she's more neutral than good, but her intentions are generally good.

While on the surface, again, she's very kind and personable and gets along with everyone...that's her job. Her family is strange, and the more modern the world gets, the more they're looked at in askance. Necromancy seems a bit medieval. Her patience and caution, and her pleasant facade got her justice for the wrongs she silently suffered in the end, so who can say she's wrong? (probably all the people who died because she won't take action)

R E L A T I O N S H I P

OTP: Tabitha has had five wives, all mortal. What she really wants is to find someone suitable to be a member of the family, someone she can make Nonna happy by marrying and embracing. Nonna isn't concerned with the lesbian thing, but hell help her if she brings home someone who acts weird around the zombies. So far she hasn't had much luck (also cuz her wives keep getting murdered) One day she'll find someone, if she's patient.

BroTP:  Tabby likes the coterie fine, but they're not locals of course. Her closest confidant is Marchesa Hannah Rosso, but they also do not like each other much. Hannah is very brusque and ambitious, and Tabby is very passive and calm. They had a common enemy, but now he's gone.

NOTP: The Barone Luca Rosso, the guy that kept killing her wives because she wasn't interested in him. It was a bone of contention between them, understandably. She couldn't do anything to him because her wives were just humans, and no one would support her. But now the coterie encased him in concrete and dropped him in the ocean, so she's happy.

It doesn't bring back her wives, but she's a necromancer, she's got that part covered.

Finished a story chapter in our VtR game, wrapping up our adventures in New York. Turns out grenades can resolve most of your vampire problems.

Jaz lost her ghoul. He was possessed by a Strix and ran off somewhere 😭 Now Jaz has to have Ranch Dressing handle all her day affairs.

I have a bunch of exp to spend, which should be interesting. Jazdia already has maxed out disciplines for Dominate, Auspex and Gilded Cage. Might be time to buy her some more physical stats so she’s less of a wet tissue in fights, but eh. She’s a handguns expert so she’s never in the thick of actual combat. Her first point of damage didn’t occur until 6 months of playing the game, when she was kicked by the goat she was sacrificing.

I also gained some forbidden knowledge last session, and have the choice to learn one ritual from either Crúac, Theban Sorcery, or all rituals from Ahranite Sorcery if I pledge my soul to VII

This week’s Vampire the Requiem recap

(since @destinyapostasy has been brought to her knees by dire injury)

The Gang meets to bring their revolution plot to the Duchess

Grier’s sister Esther laying down wise advice-  “Wait until you have left and doors are closed before you raise middle fingers.“ 

Arriving at the Garden, Grier arranging everyone in their seats just so:

Lachlan arrives in front of Sophie and Wren, who is trying to flirt with him.  He is rolling his eyes.

Lachlan poking Lenore in the side to fuck with her…she drives a heel into his foot.  He’s into it.

The gang tries to convince Sophie to give a shit about their very small rebellion!  They use persuasion!  It’s not very effective…

They do however convince her to make Oya mad by relocating all the unaligned vampires and vulnerable young ones, to buy them some time.

The Duchess pulls Jaz aside as they leave and expresses condolences for losing her mom, dropping the smallest itty-bitty drops of familial affection possible.  Jaz soaks it up like a thirsty cactus :(  

Duchess Sophie isn’t a great grandma.

While Jaz is hunting in vain for some affirmation and connection, her husband is hitting on her Aunt.

Successfully.

“Is Gangrel running like naruto running?”  

"Lenore, Grier, and Alyx, with a complete lack of dignity, barrel down the stairs…”

Lachlan, on his way out, watches them bust into the lobby:  “The city’s in good fuckin’ hands…”

Jaz tortures Drew (who is listening via Min’s earpiece) by extensively detailing her husband’s anatomy in the elevator. (THICK THIGHS)

Esther on her way out:   “And Grier…please control your fucking penis.”

Jaz gasps like an actress from Two Bush Mountain. “My AUNT??!" 

Min finds a tracking Drdevice on Lenore’s car and has to reassure her before the technophobia starts a tailspin:  “No it definitely is new. I can tell because the wires are fresh.”

They all go to a bar to play pool with Drew and Connor. 

Drew explaining the world: “We’re on the other side of the world from the sun, due to sciences." 

Connor helping:  "Sure I can get you a helicopter.  My sister knows a guy.  Not my actual sister but the sister of the guy I pretend to be sometimes.”

Alyx and Connor bickering about him not letting her fly a helicopter.  (no your drive skill DOESN’T count.)

Drew picks on Jaz one too many times.  Whoops.

Jaz uses command to make Drew grovel in front of her.  He responds by decking her.  Grier loses his shit.  Min loses her shit.  Connor starts a fire to cover it up.

Anyways they burned down another building and Connor, Lenore, and Alyx decided to have a threesome.  The end.

I am so sad because she is my favorite dnd design I’ve created but I have barely ever used her in actual roleplay. I think we did one session with her before the group fell apart and I didn’t get a chance to reuse her in any other stories, sadly.

I did sneak some of her concepts into my bg3 Tav’s backstory. She also has a cultist background, but hers was “in service to a dark god” type, and she left behind a spouse and child still in the cults influence.

I think I had also made her a fortune teller at first but then focused on her offering Speak to the Dead services for money. Morgan is definitely her spiritual successor… one day Ravenna will get her game. I could make her a Tav, even 🤔

Ivy Rothwater | Human | Cleric of Sune

Disaster lesbian that will fireball her team with full belief that her goddess (that she totally does not have sexy dreams about) will protect them.

Privileged little noble brat, she had a couple of squires tagging along with her for some of the journey that I found super fun. My DM leaned into them and gave them fun personalities and it is always great having my own npcs to boss around.

I originally played her in a homebrew game, I can’t even remember what deity she served, but I recently retooled her as a Sune cleric for a game my coworkers are organizing (and from the look of it, probably has already fell through 🤡)

Faye | Half-Elf | Shadow Sorcerer

Faye was my first (and only) attempt playing an evil aligned character. I wasn’t very good at it and never got a good grasp on what I wanted to do with role playing her, and then I had to drop out of the game after only a few sessions for personal issues. 🫠
