need help with utilities

hey! so i have a plan i'm executing to become employed instead of my brother while my ssi case percolates. i've reached out to vocational rehab to hopefully help me find something within my skills and abilities.

i still have a lot due on utilities + late fees.

gas bill: about $200 electric bill: about $300 water bill: about $120 internet: $80

not all of this has to be paid but this is what is due total. if anyone could help me keep the lights on while i try to find work i would greatly appreciate it.

I didn't try too hard with this makeover tbh. Didn't touch the rooms at all, apart from changing the wallpapers. Didn't use a lot of clutter or anything.

hi! my birthday is on the 7th and i have $6.33CAD (available) to my name.

i'm jeb, a disabled, chronically ill, diabetic, indigenous, intersex trans man with no ability to work. i am the main carer for an amazing cat with heart failure, i give her six syringes of various medications per day.

my dad also recently cheated on my mother. he was our main financial support. he is no longer living with us, has ghosted us etc after being kicked out for cheating on a 30+ year marriage. thusly, i've exhausted all of my money in like a two month span. my other two family members are also at their budgetary limits. i also have two cats plus the one i mentioned.

the government hasn't got back to me about assistance in months, and i need $5 minimum in each account to keep my account active (none of these are optional, this is my local credit union's most basic plan), and am on my last bit of money. taking from savings too often can cause a fee as well. i cannot afford to even breathe rn, i'm out of IOUs, and have exhausted all other options.

We are still trying to find an optimal solution uniting quality and affordability, and that requires looooots of testing.

Our plan is to sell physical copies at non-profit aka production & shipment price, and per request to avoid out-of-pocket expenses by printing stock without knowing if it would sell entirely. We hope to be able to fulfill printing requests soon and will be sure to update you about that.

help urgently needed!!!

hi, i didn't think i'd need to reach out for help today but shit just hits you in the face out of the blue,

i recently moved in with my mother again to help assist her after she lost a huge chunk of her money - she is currently in training to work for a mental health clinic and also in training for a part time job in social care. today, we thought she would get paid for her training in social care, but it turns out she will only get paid when the training is completed, which who knows when that could be.

my mum lost about £800 she earned a month from her state benefits due to me and my siblings reaching over 18, and it has left her in a position where she can pay rent and get maybe a weeks worth of shopping - this is not enough to live on for her, our dog, and me and my sister.

i have helped my mum as much as i could since i arrived - i bought 100 pounds worth of shopping as soon as i came down, but groceries are just becoming more and more expensive that this lasted a little over a week. my move back home was quite expensive which is why money is so tight this month.

right now, we're focused on making sure our electricity doesn't get cut off. we need to make sure our dog harper has food to last the week, and we need to make sure my sister can get her adhd and depression meds as she has been without them for a week now due to this financial situation, and withdrawal has been rough for her, and her mental health is taking a significant decline.

i reached out to my dad, my only relative outside my mum and sister, and he proved to be no help whatsoever in this situation, so that is why i find myself needing to write this post as my mother is in bits, scared to lose electricity (that keeps the little food we have frozen, and also to cook the food) and for her dog to have an empty stomach at bedtime.

the situation is so concerning right now because payday is on sep 17th for my mum, and that is still quite a long way away.

Haven't listened to much music lately. Chronic illness is kicking my ass this year and has added new sensory limits. I went from music all day every day to listening to a few songs here and there. It's getting better, thankfully, but it's been slow.

most recent windows 11 update is wiping SSDs

there's been multiple reports of people's computers not booting properly after the windows 11 24H2 KB5063878 update due to it essentially wiping the hard drives (specifically SSDs) on computers and laptops. users have reported their SSDs aren't able to be read/recognized and unable to be seen in bios settings either.

it's safe to assume all SSDs can be potentially affected by this update, so if you haven't updated yet turn off autoupdates

the bug caused by this update is seemingly triggered by installing/moving/deleting large files (50+ gb), which as simmers is what a lot of us do very pften

if you're unsure what windows version you currently have:

go to settings > system > about (at they very bottom) > and scroll down to see the current OS version

if you do currently have windows 11 24H2:

in settings, click 'Windows update' > 'Update history' > and under 'Quality Updates' check to see if the KB5063878 update is in the list of recently installed updates

don't panic, you can uninstall this update!

while in 'Update History', scroll to the very bottom and click 'Uninstall updates', and click 'Uninstall' for 'Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5063878)'

from there, give it some time to remove the update and after pause updates for as long as possible (5 weeks is the longest i think), but it will force an update if there's a big/official update for the fix

if you've already been affected and your computer is not starting or giving errors regarding your hard drive, i recommend visiting small pc repair shops to try data recovery as some have reported placing their SSD in an enclosure seems to work to recover the data

hopefully this is helpful is any kind of way! friendly reminder to back up your data to an external drive routinely!

Welcome to clutter addicts anonymous. We're here to help, by enabling your addiction. Oh you thought we'd try and fix you? Nah, there's no such thing as too much cluttering and me and my fellow addict @episims are here with a collab to bring you a set of much needed rotator OMSPs.

Perhaps you are familiar with Anoeska's object rotators, or you use the fway object rotators, or the SilentLucidity mega-set. They all have their uses, and their drawbacks. We feel there is room for one more set, that gives you more fine tune control without some of the annoyances.

The ground set will rotate objects around their center axis, in the same way we as players can but these give you the option of smaller degrees than the in game 45° and 90°. They come in 5 degree increments, for a total of 8. Items placed on them are still accessible to sims, though the animations may look wonky.

The wall set will rotate the item to the side, intended for wall items you may want to hang not quite straight. The SilentLucidity set has this, but the degree increases are large and they end up very wonky. Sometimes you want it just a little crooked, this set fills that niche. They come in 1 degree increments up to 9 degrees, for a total of 9.

Both sets come in clockwise and counter clockwise. They are perfectly level with the ground, and will go on other OMSPs. They come in small and large size, like the classic purple set, for a total of 68 OMSPs. You can choose if you want them in the catalogue, or collection only.

it's going to be 6 months since my dad died this month. my brother and i aren't exactly close to being self-sufficient yet because of numerous setbacks.
