Next chapter, I will be changing character names. Please let me know if you would like me to edit the previous posts to reflect the changes as well! Next installment, soldier will be Aryan (meaning Warrior/Honorable). The entity will be getting a name soon as well.
CW: Inhuman character, refusal to answer questions, mention of drugging/poison
Soldier awoke to the sound of the door closing. They whipped their head around to see who had entered, but there was no one.
There was, however, a relatively large tray of a variety of foods sitting on the nightstand. Tentatively, Soldier investigated the plate, daring to eat a little, but too scared of being poisoned or drugged to eat more than a few pieces. They didn't touch the accompanying drink.
They felt much better— stronger and more refreshed. It was only then that the thought occurred to them. How long had they slept? The hunger in their stomach was vicious, only made more acute by the small amount they had eaten.
Quietly, Soldier sat on the bed for a long while, waiting to see if the entity would enter of their own accord. Strangely, they... didn't.
What felt like hours passed before Soldier finally worked up the courage to open the door again. Just as before, the entity stood and made their way to the door, still in the same almost human form as before.
"You're awake again. Do you feel rested?"
"What are you?" Soldier asked, wary.
The entity looked to consider the question for a moment. "That is... perhaps a question for another time. I'm not human. But of course you already knew that. I apologize, I know that my answer is not satisfactory, but I do hope that you will accept an answer to a previous question instead."
"... What previous question?"
"You asked me what makes me say my people are happy. I would like to show you, if you're strong enough." The entity extended a hand to Soldier. "Will you accompany me outside?"
After a moment of hesitation, Soldier reluctantly took the not‐quite-human hand. The entity's smile made Soldier flinch.

CW: Inhuman character, shape-shifting, mentions of eating people, accusations of slavery, exhaustion
((Additionally, the entity shape-shifts into a more human looking form, but... it's just... not quite right.))
Soldier felt rested now. Or... at least more rested than they had been. They sat up cautiously and swung their legs out of the bed noiselessly.
They stood, crossed the room, and tried the door. It was unlocked and opened with complete silence. They could have been free— they could have run, but... the entity was watching the door. As it opened, they stood.
Just as before, Soldier froze. As the entity approached, however, they managed a weak, "... What do you want..??"
The entity seemed to shrink a bit as they moved closer, their form changing rapidly as they appeared more and more human-like. By the time the entity stood in front of Soldier, they appeared as a tall, muscular human, with blackened sclera, too sharp teeth, and long sharp nails. "I want to apologize."
"A... apologize..?" It took all of Soldier's strength to keep their knees from buckling.
The entity nodded. "Yes. When you were wounded on the battlefield, I made the decision to save your life. Afterwards, I wrongly assumed that your prejudice against me would decrease. When it didn't, I allowed myself to become angry and reacted poorly to your questions. I want to apologize for that. On the battlefield, you asked me what I planned to do with you. I can assure you that my only intention is to ensure you are able to leave here safely."
... That didn't make sense though. "... What? A-are you trying to... to lull me into a false sense of security so you can eat me when I fall asleep? I-it won't work! I'm not scared of you! I'll escape! I'll—"
"Good heavens... I'm not going to eat you. Who put that idea in your head?" The entity ran a hand through their long black hair. "I happen to be pescitarian, so unless you're a plant or a fish, you have no reason to worry about being eaten. What on earth are your people saying about me??"
Soldier took a slow, deep breath. "I... if you really plan to let me go safe, then get out of my way and let me leave now."
The entity's stance slackened a bit. "I can't do that yet."
"Why not?" Soldier took a small step back. "Look at me. I'm fine. If you plan to let me go, why not now?"
"Because you’re about to collapse from the simple strain of standing for a few moments."
"No I'm not." But Soldier's legs were starting to feel a bit wobbly.
"... Perhaps you can enlighten me. Exactly what have I done to your people to convince them I am a monster? Do you know?"
"Y-you... you've enslaved the people of this region." Soldier managed to say. Really they were mostly focused on remaining upright at this point. Fuck... they were going to fall if they didn't sit down soon. They managed one step and had to stop. If they moved again, they were going to end up on the ground.
The entity looped an arm of inhuman strength under Soldier's arm and helped them to the bed. "My people are not enslaved. They are happy."
Soldier gave the entity a hesitantly skeptical look. "What makes you say that?"
"... I will show you when you are strong enough to go on a walk within my lands. For now, though, I believe you may need to rest again. Your injuries were extensive and it took most of the energy you possess to heal you. It will take a while to regain that strength."
"How would you know my strength?" Soldier snapped, yanking their arm away from the entity"
"I can see your muscles shivering from the effort it took to simply walk to the door. Do yourself a favor and rest. Your door can lock from the inside if that makes you more comfortable."
"Whatever... it's not like a single lock could keep you out..." Soldier grumbled and turned away, rolling over in bed so his back was to the entity.
"Would you like something to eat?"
Soldier glared at the wall, suddenly becoming aware of the pangs of hunger they had been ignoring before. They chose not to respond, and eventually the entity left them alone.

CW: Exhaustion, kidnapping(?), held against their will, non-human character
Soldier let out a soft breath as they slowly came to consciousness. They didn't want to move... It was warm and they were still exhausted from... from...
Soldier bolted upright, then almost fell face forward in exhaustion. What had the entity done to them..? Their entire body felt... sleepy. Like they could barely keep their eyes open or move their limbs.
Despite the exhaustion, Soldier preserved, untangling themself from the crimson bedspread and tumbling out of bed onto the floor. They moved to get up, but... Their eyes were so tired... Surely a short rest would be too bad, would it?
~
Soldier woke with a start, face down in a pool of drool. They hastily wiped their face with their sleeve, looking around. They felt a little less exhausted now, but they still didn't want to move...
No. They had to get up. Soldier hauled themself to their feet and shuffled towards the door. They pushed it open and it slowly swung outwards...
The entity looked at Soldier from where they sat at a large table. Soldier felt their knees go weak and they froze as the entity stood and approached.
"... Go back to bed. You're barely standing."
Soldier turned numbly at the entity's command and stumbled back to the bed. They tensed as they felt the entity lift them gently with clawed hands and place them down on the mattress.
"Sleep. Rest. You are in no danger here. When you awake again, then we will talk." The entity drew the large curtains closed and left the room, closing the door softly behind them.
Soldier could not force themself to remain awake and soon fell into a deep and dreamless sleep.

CW: Friendly fire, non-human character, left behind, betrayal, battle, guns, shots fired, electrification, neurotoxin, exhaustion, blood
Sounds of battle filled the air. Shots rang out, people yelled, troop after troop was hurled back by an impossible entity.
Soldier was just waiting to be next. They were firing shots, but they never expected to win. Not really.
Although winning was unexpected, something still more unexpected managed to take Soldier by complete surprise. One moment, they were firing shots, the next, they were screaming, body entangled in one of the nets that their allies were firing at the entity.
The nets were not simply cloth nets like those used for fishing or catching animals. These nets were woven with chains, barbed, and had electrical currents coursing through them for the first minute after they were fired.
The net held Soldier immobile as they screamed and tied in vain to escape its hold. The more they struggled, the more the barbs dug into their skin, but they weren't paying the barbs any mind just then. The intense electric shocks had their full attention.
Through the shock at what had happened and the pain searing through their body, Soldier had a vague sense of hope in the back of their mind.
An ally will help me. I just have to wait it out.
But... none of the other troops seemed to even notice. When the shocks stopped, Soldier became painfully aware of the barbs piercing their skin and the blood starting to pool under them. They called for help, but the troops were already retreating. No one stopped for them.
For several long minutes after the battle was over, Soldier lay entangled in the net, shaking and just trying to breathe without moving too much. Then a voice with an unfamiliar accent spoke.
"You're alive... You need help."
And suddenly the face of the entity they had been fighting came into view over Soldier. Despite the barbs, they began to struggle again, screaming for help, someone, anyone!
The entity shushed Soldier and, reluctantly, Soldier quieted. Their friends were gone. There was no one there to hear their cries but the monster looming over them.
"... Are you gonna kill me..?" Soldier asked, voice coarse from screaming.
In reply, a clawed hand reached out and Soldier closed their eyes. But... they felt a release of pressure as the net fell away. They were freed.
Reflexively, Soldier scrambled to run, but they stumbled almost immediately and hit the ground hard. A moment later, the entity turned them over onto their back.
Soldier grimaced. They couldn't escape, their muscles had yet to recover from the electric shocks. They weren't strong enough. They were going to die. Be eaten by this... this thing.
"Your nets contain a powerful psychotropic drug administered through the barbs. You cannot leave until I heal you."
"... What?" Soldier sputtered. "No they don't! They— w-wait! Don't!"
Ignoring them, the entity swung one leg over Soldier, straddling their hips and placed both hands on Soldiers head.
Soldier kicked and fought as much as they could, trying to pull the entity's clawed hands off of their head, but is was no use.
Oddly enough, the longer the entity kept their hands on Soldier's head, the better Soldier seemed to feel. Their muscles stopped seizing from the shocks and they could feel the wounds from the barbs growing smaller. In return for this relief, however, Soldier noticed they felt significantly weaker and more exhausted.
Soldier decided to stop fighting back and let their eyes drift closed.
A few minutes later, the entity released Soldier, standing aside. "How do you feel? Are you strong enough to leave?"
Soldier rolled over onto their stomach with great difficulty and attempted to push themself up to crawl, but they couldn't. They managed to raise their body an inch or two off the ground, but they couldn't move any more from there.
Soldier felt the entity kneel next to them and place a hand gently on their back. "Just breathe. Try again."
"Don't patronize me." Soldier spat, words strained with effort.
"I'm not patronizing you. I am attempting to determine whether you are strong enough to leave. Human bodies are feeble and they hold only a trivial amount of energy. I believe your injuries may have been too extensive for you to flee after being healed."
Attempting to ignore the entity Soldier tried again, but was still unable to get more than a few inches. They squeezed their eyes shut, tears splashing onto the ground under them. "I c... I can't..."
The entity pushed Soldier over onto their back and Soldier let out a whimper.
"Wh... what are you going to do to me..? Kill me? Torture me?"
"Wh— I just saved your life and you still think I want to kill you?" The expression on the entity's face looked almost incredulous. "On top of that, you think I would let you try to leave if I planned on killing you?"
Soldier felt their face pale.
"You know what, you will find out soon what I plan to do with you." The entity scooped Soldier of the ground into their massive arms and Soldier yelped.
"Let me go! Put me down! Please!" Soldier gave a meager struggle, but they were too weak to do much.
"Quiet yourself. I'll not set you down."
Reluctantly, Soldier quieted, realizing they were incapable of escape and fearing to aggravate the entity further. Despite their terror, Soldier was also quickly falling asleep. It wasn't long until their world faded black.

Name pronunciation: Anya (AHN-ya)

Saša pushed Andrei down into a chair. Immediately, Andrei tried to get up, but Saša's hand closed around his throat and forced him back down. "Stay put." They hissed.
Andrei couldn't answer for lack of air, but as soon as Saša released his throat, he kicked Saša in the shin and yelled, "fuck you!"
In an instant, Saša was back on him. Andrei screamed and fought in desperation and futility as Saša wrenched his head to the side and bit down into his neck.
Even with all of Andrei's clawing and scratching, Saša was immovable. It was like they were a brick wall. They didn't even sway for a moment. Andrei's vision flashed black at the edges from pain and fear and blood loss. "Stop! Stop— Let go!"
Saša ignored him and, after a few minutes of struggle, Andrei started to feel notably weak and lightheaded. Suddenly, an idea occurred to him. He stopped fighting, letting his body go slack.
It worked. Saša released him.
Pretending to be unconscious, Andrei waited until he could feel that Saša had walked away to another area of the room. Once he thought Saša was far enough away, Andrei jumped up out of the chair and toppled towards the door. He felt Saša try to grab him, their hand closing around part of his sleeve.
Andrei pushed the door open and tumbled out into the hallway, very nearly smacking his head against the floor. "Stop it! Leave me alone!" He stammered out in the midst of a half crawling scramble to get away from Saša.
"Saša, what are you doing to this poor kid?"
Andrei looked up to see the owner of a new voice. It was a woman. She had long, curly, red hair and was looking incredulously at Saša.
Andrei yelled out, trying to twist around as Saša pulled him off the ground by the collar of his shirt.
"Saša." The woman took Andrei away from Saša, momentarily directing her attention to him. "Calm yourself, child. Stop flailing. I won't harm you."
Andrei tried to push away from her, but she possessed the same inhuman strength as Saša.
"Saša." She began, ignoring Andrei's continued squirming. "We've talked about this. Humans are fragile. Please be careful not to break them."
"Let go of me!!"
"But I really like this one, Anya!" Saša reached back out to take Andrei back, but Anya pushed them away.
"All the more reason to be careful with him. C'mon, babe, look at him. He's terrified. Just let him be."
"I'm not scared of you!" Andrei protested, twisting and squirming in Anya's hold.
"That's good." Anya said, voice soft. "You needn't be afraid of me, but there's no denying that you fear Saša. Calm yourself. I won't let them hurt you now. You've been through enough today."
Andrei's breaths came in short gasps as he slowly and reluctantly stopped struggling. "You all are fucking psycho."
"Saša, I am taking him back to his room. Be a dear and leave him there during our visit?"
Andrei let out a huff as he slumped in Anya's hold.
~
As soon as Anya set Andrei back on the floor of the small room that had been designated as his, Andrei immediately tried to escape. Anya, however caught him by the arm and gently but firmly pulled him back into the room.
"Let go! You pretend you're different, but you're just the same as Saša! You're all nothing but filthy, cruel, savage beasts!" Andrei attempted to wrench his arm away, but Anya ignored him.
"And all humans are nothing more than simple minded cattle." Andrei was caught off guard by Anya's braiseness. Before he could protest, she continued. "Not true, I know, but it hurts to know that an entire species sees you that way, doesn't it?"
Andrei sputtered, at a loss for words.
"Now," Anya gave a soft smile, "I'm going to let go, and you're going to stay here, not because I say so, but because if you leave, Saša is waiting." And she released Andrei. She walked away. Closed the door, but didn't lock it. And Andrei hated that he was too scared to leave.

CW: Manhandling, biting, blood
Andrei shrieked as he was pulled up into a sitting position by his hair. And there was Saša, standing over him with a smirk that said they were very pleased with themself for waking Andrei up in this way.
With a glare, Andrei scrambled to his feet. He noticed now that he was a couple of inches taller than the vampire. Good.
"What the fuck was that for??"
"It's time to go, Pretty."
Andrei grimaced at the pet name. "No." He said, backing away a step.
Saša raised an eyebrow. "You want to try that one more time?"
"I said no."
Saša paused for a moment and Andrei thought maybe he had caught them off guard. However, Saša's response was calculated.
"Normally, I would punish you for attempting to refuse to obey. However, I believe it won't hurt to start here just this once. Come here."
Andrei had no intentions of approaching the vampire, but Saša didn't wait for him to obey. Instead, they started across the room towards him.
The room was so small that Andrei was backed against a wall after only a few steps. Saša pinned his shoulders with one arm and forced his head to the side with their free hand before biting his neck and beginning to drink.
Andrei tried to struggle, gritting his teeth to keep from crying out in pain, but Saša was too strong to resist. The pain was increasing as well.
Finally, despite Andrei's best attempts otherwise, a single word escaped his lips in the haze of pain and fear.
"Please—"
Almost instantly, Saša released him.
Andrei stumbled away, slipping sideways along the wall until he was out of Saša's reach, clutching the bite wounds on his neck.
"You're down by about 10% of your blood." Saša warned, eyes flashing maliciously. "Are you ready to come with me now? Or shall I have some more?"
"Fuck off. I'm not going anywhere with you."
With a shrug, Saša pinned Andrei again, this time letting go without being asked a few moments later. "That's another 5% down. Do you know how much blood you can lose before passing out?"
Andrei thought he was starting to feel a little lightheaded, but it may have just been anxiety. "Why are you doing this??"
"Because I want to."
"I'm still not going with you. I'll never do anything you want me to, so you might as well just kill me now. If you're going to keep drinking until you get your way, go ahead. Take it all." In a rash and thoughtless moment of defiance, Andrei bared his neck.
Saša glared and Andrei knew his challenge had struck its mark. With a feral growl that sent a cold shiver down Andrei's spine, Saša grabbed Andrei by the hair once more and physically removed him from the room.

CW: Locked in a room, collar
"Here's where you'll be staying until I'm ready to deal with you. I have some business to attend to, but I should be finished by end of day tomorrow." Saša tossed Andrei through a doorway into a very small room. "I'll be back soon. Don't give me a reason to come back before I'm ready."
And the door closed.
Andrei lay on the floor for a moment, still a bit shell-shocked from everything and a little disoriented from the drugs. After a moment, he looked at the room he was in. It was cramped. No furniture besides a small mattress with a thin blanket on the floor. Not great, but it could be worse. There was a window letting some sunlight into the room, but it was sealed on the outside with several thick metal bars.
Andrei reached up to scratch his neck and paused. Was... is that a collar..?
"What the fuck??" Andrei pulled the collar off as fast as he possibly could and chucked it across the room.
Saša had put a collar on him?? Or... or was it the auction house..? Or maybe... Damn. He couldn't remember. That made him want to scream. He didn't though.
No. He would save his defiance and anger for when Saša came back. He would throw it all at them. He hated them already.

CW: Mouth whump, drugged, blood, biting, manhandling, strangulation
By the time the carriage slowed to a stop, the man at Saša's feet was beginning to stir.
"You awake yet, Darling?"
In response, the man tried to sit up, but was unable. "Where... am I..?" He slurred instead. "Who are you?"
"We've arrived at home. Let's get up now. Come on." Saša pulled the man up, ignoring the second half of his question— he'd soon find out the answer on his own.
The man, now starting to come off whatever drugs he had been dosed with, protested. "No— I'm not going with you." But despite his defiant words, Saša was pulling him and his options were either to follow or be dragged. He stumbled along behind the vampire.
Once they were inside, Saša allowed the man to lean against a wall. "What's your name, Dear?" They asked.
"Yours first." The man said with a wary glare.
Saša let out a sigh. "I'll ask you one more time and if I don't get an answer, then I suppose you'll find out the consequences of defying me."
The man scoffed. "You're rather pretentious. I don't have to tell you shit."
In a split second, Saša slapped the man so hard across the face that his neck snapped to the side and the sound of the slap rang out through the empty room. The man stumbled a couple steps sideways before catching himself.
The man spat a tooth coated in blood onto the ground.
"No one ever has to say anything. You will always have a choice when it comes to answering my questions. You can either answer truthfully the first time or endure the pain of the consequences." Saša took the man's chin in their hand. "Now. Would you like to tell me your name? Or would you like to find out the consequences of telling me no again."
"... M' name's Alexi."
In one swift movement, Saša tipped the man's head to the side and bit down into his neck, drinking in his blood. The man screamed, scared and in pain.
Almost as abruptly as they had bit the man, Saša released him. "Don't lie to me again, Andrei."
Andrei's eyes widened, clearly not expecting Saša to have already known his name. "I-if you already knew, why ask..?"
Saša had many reasons for asking. To find exactly how compliant or defiant Andrei would be. To prove to Andrei that disobedience would have consequences. To scare Andrei by showing that Saša knew more about him than he thought. However, Saša would not explain any of this to their new pet.
"You may call me Master." Saša said, closing their hand tightly around Andrei's neck, restricting his oxygen. They smiled lightly as Andrei's hands closed around their wrist, trying in vain to make them let go. "I will tell you now that my name is Saša. You will hear others call me that name. If I hear you call me that name, you will severely regret it."
Andrei gasped as Saša released his throat, collapsing to his knees. "I'll never call you master. You're sick." Andrei rasped, hands protecting his neck as he glared up at Saša.
With a shrug, Saša pulled Andrei to his feet once more. "Come. I'll show you to your quarters."

Name pronunciation:: Andrei (AHN-drey), Saša (sa-sha),
CW: Drugged, sold at auction, vampire whumper with a human whumpee, dehumanization, leash & collar
Andrei's head was swimming. Colors and lights and sound all flowed together into one. He felt like he was falling. Were his legs moving? He couldn't tell. His arms hurt, like they were being pinched, but he couldn’t discern why.
A voice echoed through Andrei's head, but it was so vibrant and sharp for him to tell what it was saying. Time passed in a fog and soon the voice was gone. Soon, everything was gone. Everything except for confusion, wrapping Andrei like a blanket in the darkness...
♧◇♡♤♡◇♧◇♡♤♡◇♧◇♡♤♡◇♧◇♡
Saša wound their way through the halls to pick up their purchase.
"I'm here for lot 13." Saša handed a receipt to the product manager, who nodded and led Saša down a long hallway.
At the end of the hall, the product manager opened a heavy metal door to reveal a room packed full of people. "Lot 13. Time to go."
There was no response.
"Lot 13, let's move."
"He... He's passed out, sir. Over there..." One of the people close to the door whispered, pointing to a shape on the ground.
The product manager sighed. "Someone bring him out."
After a moment in which no one budged, two people lifted the figure off the floor and carried him to the door. Saša took the man by the shirt collar and the two others skittered away back into the room.
The man's eyes were only half open, hazy and unfocused. He was still heavily under the influence of whatever the auction house had given him before the bidding. When Saša dropped him back onto the floor, the man made no effort to catch himself and did not move.
"Do you know how to find your way out?" The product manager asked.
Saša nodded and the product manager locked the door that lot 13 had been inside before leaving back down the hallway.
Saša produced a collar and leash from their coat pocket and fastened the collar around the neck of their purchase before hooking the leash to it. "Wake up." Saša ordered, striking the man across the face with the back of their hand.
The man winced, blinking a few times as he squinted at Saša, trying to focus his gaze.
Saša took the man under the arm and effortlessly pulled him up to his feet. The man was extremely unsteady, but did not fall immediately. Instead, he tried to say something, but it came out completely unintelligible.
Keeping their hand around the man's arm, Saša led the man back down the hallway. When he stumbled, Saša simply pulled harder, forcing the man to quickly right his step.
Once they had exited the auction house, Saša shoved the man into the floor of a carriage and stepped over him to a seat. The carriage began to pull away.
