WELCOME TO ... SAN SEQUOIA & COPPERDALE K-505 UPDATE AND K-707 NEWS :)

As we are still in the Bold November, here come San Sequoia and Copperdale K-505, both with their make-over, both ready to fill your need of pixels :)

SAN SEQUOIA ... as you know, the city is based on the San Fransisco Bay and the first thing we remade in this world has been the bridge :) It has to be red. No question :D Then, we made the grass and finished with the streets and roads. In that order ...

As we made a lot of textures work this month, we'll come back with more details in the coming weeks in each world since, you know, ALL the K-505 and other K-Mods have to be updated ;)

COPPERDALE ... frankly, I was quite surprised. Because I didn't expect such a town. Very agreeable to watch and play BUT very complicated to transform with true pixels :D So ... we remade A LOT of things, including the road signs ... many many details to review, many many files to work on, we hope the result will fill your expectations !

We already worked on the trees of the city, and all this is very promising. Which makes me talk about the K-707 ...

The terrible K-707 ..................... :) Already there are some trees from the last 4 worlds that are reworked ( such as the palm trees of Tartosa and San Sequoia ) and indeed I think they are much more interesting than the original ones but the K-707 is a difficult and tricky one and we really have to take care of it from the beginning, aka the base-game ... So, be patient about ;) because it will be super cool.

More news next week with the coming arrival of ... Chestnut Ridge rework ---> At first look, no particular obstacle arise. It should be fairly easy to cover all basics.

So, we're already working on K-707 and some special K-303 we're eager to get out.

TARTOSA & MOONWOOD MILL : BOTH WORLDS ARE HERE :) SAN SEQUOIA IS ON ITS WAY ...

So, as said and shown in our previous post : Tartosa, the Wedding World and Moonwood Mill are finished and ready to download :)

TARTOSA : All grounds are now textured ! Some sidewalks were changed for a better look ( we think so ... Hope you'll like it )

Because of the light and many maxis glitches, we made more changes in Tartosa than expected ...But to get the mark to be an Italian getaway, we took some artistic liberties. We think the end result is not bad. It is clean, yet authentic and old looking. Tartosa now exults in lazy walks and languorous evenings ;)

Unsurprisingly, some files are connected to the Base-game : you have to re-download the K-505 base-game AND the K-606 files to get all the details <--- we made a silent update :)

Why a silent update ? Because, in order to update the whole K-Mods and be ready for the next expansion, we have to update many many files : it will be the case during all our Bold November and certainly in December too :D

MOONWOOD MILL : Compared to Tartosa, Moonwood Mill textures redux was much more enjoyable to do :) A bit tricky sometimes but so much grass ! and we love grass ! so much than we really have to update the K-707 as soon as possible :D

In order to get new wood roofs, and the updated wood floors, we updated the K-606 AND the K-101 files to get all the details <--- we made silent updates :)

SAN SEQUOIA : San Sequoia is coming :) soon :) very soon :) what else ?

Remember : Just as always, there’e … unexpected surprises. We had to make some changes into some other K-Mods to get it right. So, don't be mad, we try to make all this as convenient as possible for you, and we are not responsible for Maxis glitches and changes ;)

K-505 NEWS ... TARTOSA and MOONWOOD MILL

At first, let's talk about the downloads problem some of you encounter on Chrome. We just added some links on our website to a Google Drive. It is temporary until we find a solution to all this, even maybe changing our host server for another one.

Then, thanks A LOT to people who send us coffees !

So ... for you fellows, the first pictures of Tartosa World and Moonwood Mill with their new textures. Both are finished around 95% and should be ready in the coming week :) Maybe next Tuesday.

" But blackgryffin aka k-hippie ... why are you working now on these worlds ? You said ..."

I said no, not my priority. And then, I said one week ago : let's find a consensus :) And some of you send us coffees ... How to be ungrateful to people who cares so much of our work ? ;)

So, I worked all week long on 2 Worlds ... Meaning too there will be new updates for ALL the K-mods and not only the K-505 ;) Not everything at the same time : I need to sleep a bit, even with quality caffeine :D

And now, let's have look ;)

We still have to finish very few Tartosa files and it will be ok. And from sunshine to moonlight ...

As you see, many textures are already done in Moonwood Mill too :) As I said previously : around 95% so everything will be available very very soon !

No Occluder Small & Large Appliances Default Replacement

Putting this in a separate post to make it easier to link to.

This file is a must-have if you use any of my kitchens. Since I changed the cabinet shader to fix colouring and shading issues, appliances, both small and large, have occluders that darken cabinets and make them look horrible. This solves that for all Maxis objects released so far (or recolours with a linked light source). All this file includes is default replacement light resources for all appliances that had occluders and will fix the issue.

TS4 Infant Conversions & Recolours

Want some little Ghoulies in your Sims 4 game? Your vampire sims have an infant that doesn't quite fit in because of how they look? Well now you can have some cute little Ghouls, Demons and Vampires with the use of some custom content that I have converted to be used with Infants! I initially didn't make these conversions and recolours for Halloween, but after doing so I realized these would be perfect to use for just costumes if you didn't want your infants to always be looking like little Ghoulies :)

I have converted @lady-moriel's Tiefling Tails, #ScreamingMustard's Capricorn Horns Accessory (edited slightly and added swatches with your choice of gold, silver or black titanium rings for each swatch), #Cerberus Little Demon Horns (with a cpl added swatches), @leahlillith's Vision Horns, @remussirion's Demon Claws, @natalia-auditore's Chernobog Wings Closed, @suzuesims Demonic Toddler Wings; as well as recolours of @rplts4's 247 Infant Dress. I also included @meowsaucepan's body paint that I fixed in Sims4Studio by changing the composition method to 0 so it shows up on top of cc skins; as well as adding all ages including infants in the Age & Gender Flags category. There is also a Neck Only version of the body paint as well. I also made the body paint HQ compatible. Unfortunately since I made changes to the actual tattoo in S4S and it's not a recolour you do not need the original mesh. Just note that I did not create this tattoo and all credits go to @meowsaucepan. You can see the original post of the body paint here CLICK

A *note* about the Capricorn Horns. Originally they were made to be in the necklace category. With some shirts and other ACC they would not show up on the sim. So I also created one for the L Wrist category. When testing with the Tiefling Tails for example, while wearing some tails the Capricorn Horns in the necklace category would not appear on the sim, but the horns in the wrist category would. Likewise with some tails the wrist category horns would not appear on the sims but they would if using the horns from the necklace category. This will also happen with some clothing items.

Toe socks no more!! (ugh for socks that aren't supposed to be toe socks that is!) A while ago @simminglena created some Maxis Wearable feet for all ages that have really come in handy if using default feet replacements. Infant Default & Non Default Alpha Teeth

I converted @magic-bot's Default, Non Default & Additional Alpha teeth for Infants. If @magic-bot has any issues with these conversions and would like me to remove them I will. You will NEED the mesh for the Non Default teeth, as well as the mesh for the Extras to show up in game. All teeth (except for the gums) have 2 swatches; white and off-white. My first ever mesh!

I did it! My first mesh in blender as well as my first mesh for the sims 4 lol! This isn't the finished product, I just slapped a plain colour on it in photoshop (plus the texture of the coffee) so I'm still going to work on the texturing of the mug;  also adding images and typography and such. I'm also going to bring down the shine/gloss on the specular map as I feel I made it a little too glossy looking. I will say, making the mug wasn't that hard, it was unwrapping it on the uv map that was a bit tricky lol. Once I figured out the right edges to select and what not I was like ugh, ok that wasn’t so hard haha. I'm so glad I can start making my own meshes now! :D A big shout out to @simmerkate​ btw for her helpful tutorials! Thank you so much for that <3
