tbh i hate that thing when people write Y/N in fanfics and headcanon posts. i can't even read those normally, this abbreviation breaks all immersion for me. it's supposed to make me imagine myself, but all it does is that i stumble, stop and make myself imagine that there was a name in the text instead.

if you want the reader to imagine themselves as they read, just write "you" instead of Y/N, it looks so much more natural in writing

"Well, well," Morgyn looks at you. You sigh.

"Well, well," Morgyn looks at Y/N. Y/N sighs.
