“Oh, uh-” Kaden looks down at his arms. “Don’t worry, they can’t leave my body unless I tell them to. They wont hurt you or Dom as long as I keep them fed.” Pausing, Kaden mentally kicks himself—he didnt introduce himself! He’d heard of Damien’s “reboots” before, how could he forget? “I’m uh, I’m Kaden, by the way. I was sort of your dad? Or at least one of them, anyway.” The tired man offered Damien and Dom a small smile. “I’m glad you’re okay, and its a pleasure to meet you again—and you too, Dom.”

Damien looks very smug as he appears back in the restaurant, noticeably younger but still just as…intimidating. In his own way. The very air around him feels electrically charged and the dark canine form towering behind him lends an air of danger to the scene. He cracks his neck and smiles, before settling in to get back to work. The jackal has returned.

“Hey, Damien, is...everything alright now?” Kaden asked, glancing past the younger Damien and noting the strange...shadowy figure behind him. His own demons nipped and rumbled at his bones at the sight of it, clearly very perturbed. The sting of worry pricked at Kaden’s skin, but this was Damien—albeit a little different—and he KNEW Damien.

New Years Tag

Since it’s New Years Eve I thought of a “tag people and what you’re gonna do with them on this day” thing. Feel free to reblog or respost with your favorites.

@carrieworksatseveneleven They spend the day trying out different outfits the whole day. Choosing eachothers outfits and taking pictures of the outcome. Eventually they choose an outfit that stays and they both end go out to dinner.

@brahms-at-white-castle They end up staying at home and instead invite close friends over to party and celebrate New Year’s. Decorating the house with streamers and party balloons. Maybe with a bit of alcohol to keep some people interested.

@harrysatstarbucks Probably has to keep him and @krispy-kadens-at-krispy-kreme from drinking too much. It’ll be hard since I feel like they would get into a drinking contest. With @legionsworkatsubway cheering them on. @joeworksatcoffeebeanandtealeaf being the father figure has to keep the underage kids from drinking.

Kaden squints his eyes at the boy—something about his tone felt off somehow. Kaden wonders if it had anything to do with the spree of killings around Jimmy Johns. “Well..” he says, ignoring how the demons nestled beneath his skin squirmed and wiggled in anticipation, “if you say so, kid. I closed up shop about an hour ago to come see what the hell’s happening over here, but I’m glad you’re okay.” Kaden stuffs his hands into his sweatpants pockets. Twitching his head, he glances down at Damien again. “Are you positive things are a-okay around here, kid?” he asks, locking the boy in his dark gaze.
