I Made 'I Made Last Life Into a Song' Into an Animation!

The Last Life song by ​⁠Evil Anvil has been stuck in my head so I just had to get this out there.

I tried to make it so each lyric visually flows into the next. For example, Skizz smashing Mumbo's obsidian and end crystal together, the explosion of which is being watched by Grian, who is then interrupted by Scar pitching his Magic Blocks™.

Hopefully that came across… I put a lot into this :´)

The og artist might have also been inspired by this art installation by Paul Fryer of Lucifer entangled in power lines inside a church. I know I definitely was cause look how epic this is

It’s supposed to represent the tension between modern life and spiritual tradition or something like that… but hey, no one’s stopping us from interpreting it as Grian watcher lore. Art’s subjective, right? :D

i saw THIS (left) reference on pinterest (i am unsure who the original artist is but once i find out i will update this post) and knew i had to do something with it and then i just kinda went ham after making the drawing on the right

i think getting caught in traffic lights and power lines would drive the man crazy, right? idk theres probably a metaphor i could make about him feeling angry and trapped by the watchers and the games being an ironic little outlet he ends up trapped in as well grian minecraft my muse....

Resisting the urge to add colour, because if I do Cleo, then I’ll have to do everyone else too… I’ve already been working on this animatic for too long.

I’m trying to stick to just the hair + an accent colour but its SO HARD.
