kiindledhope:
Digits occupied themselves by slipping into the pockets of fitted dress trousers, habitual, dark denim traded for smoothed pleats. These communal gatherings had become far more frequent as of late, Wayne exceptionally giving, and Perry without the slightest hesitation employing none other than Clark Kent for coverage on crucial terms unveiled.
Auspiciously enough, he could mingle and interact with other’s attending, customarily ones who weren’t as euphoric as the rest whilst simultaneously mentally retaining things that would be of prospective utility. The founder, one of close friendship to the reporter himself, regrettably nowhere to be seen.
A voice emanating from alongside careens dark brows up a smooth forehead, a responsive nod before sparing a brief glance her way. ❛ They most definitely do, I’ve been ready to leave for almost an hour now, ❜ one hand extracting from its place within his pocket, Clark collected the glass he’d deposited just a slight ways away, nothing other than chilled champagne meeting his lips. ❛ Bruce’s heart stretches far, and hopefully, the checkbooks do, as well, Miss ⎯⎯⎯ forgive me, I didn’t quite catch your name? ❜
she allows a hint of a grin to touch meticulously painted lips, a careful sip of wine following. “an hour, hm? i think i might have you beat there, an hour and a half on my end.” anja allows herself to turn fully now and gaze curiously, but not unkindly, winds over her fellow in waiting.
she’s seen him before, hasn’t the briefest moment of recollection. in truth, gotham politics has never been her forte. she’s managed to keep up with the primary players, god knows you can’t open a damn newspaper without seeing dent or wayne splashed over every page, but outside the initial tier her knowledge falters. anja briefly wonders if dent’s somewhere here, now that’s someone she’d actually care to meet.
“wayne seems to recognize what most billionaires do not, that the every day people tend to like you more if you shell out money prior to the reckless driving and relentless scandal. it’s a smart move.”
a hand is extended now, polite smile immediately following. “anja terzic, a pleasure.” a dark brow lifts. “you’ll have to forgive me, you are a-, a reporter, yes? or, if you prefer the term, a journalist.”

“as seemingly preposterous an idea as this may seem, have you ever considered keeping a low profile? that is, of course, outside the bouts of ending up on every live television station around the world and being the primary news topic for weeks at a time.”
if there’s one thing she’s skilled at, aside from living off of caffeine, it’s the art of managing to remain unseen. it’s what’s kept her alive all these years and kept out of soviet labs, thank god.
still the question is offered with a faint touch of amusement, quiet and cool. “you seem to have this habit of walking about looking like you’re contemplating murder.”

SEMI-HIATUS; 04.17-05.15
i have final exams coming up and all three exams this semester are closed book. while that’s fairly normal for undergrad, it’s fucking brutal for law school. im still finishing outlines for my classes and theyre all around 35 pages single spaced so um, i have some memorization to do. given that, i won’t be around here much because my life is either class, study, going to the gym or drinking all the caffeine i can get my hands on. i should be back after that. right now i have zero idea what my schedule for summer work is so?? i will be around but not very active
