woke up this morning to the absolute elation of seeing the announcement of 1989 taylor's version, and i kid you not, i died dead. i fell in love with this album at the age of seven, and it's been a huge part of my life ever since, and to see it re-recorded is a joy that i'm so excited to experience on the 27th of october.

what breaks my heart is that during the first and second wizarding wars, the professors at hogwarts would have to battle these death eaters that were their former students

like imagine mcgonagall the queen duelling alecto carrow and only remembering alecto's eagerness for transfiguration in first year and wondering where on earth that eleven year old went

and flitwick watching bellatrix lestrange creatively murder children using spells he taught her and thinking back to her failed attempts and her innocent joy when she mastered it.

professor slughorn reading the newspapers which reported on his beloved former pupil tom riddle killing and maiming muggles and muggleborns, and when he finds out about tom's horcruxes, the level of guilt that must have come with that

i reckon that all the professors at hogwarts blamed themselves for the rise of mouldy voldy because not only did some of them teach him in which are arguably the most influential point of a child's life, they did little to nothing to reprimand his behaviour

someone said 'evil happens when good men do nothing' or something along those lines.
