i think persona 3 (original/portable) is the best persona game for me. y'know the atmosphere, characters, the meaning. each ost sunk into my soul and delightfully conveyed the mood of a particular scene, I could play p3 for hours, because the plot was quite intense, but it didn't blow my mind after a 15 minutes of playing. the characters and voice acting are just incredible and seems so alive, I was able to get attached to everyone. I cried over every event like I almost never cried over video games/movies etc. I think that p5 is also good, it has cool design and music, but it's increasingly aimed at globalization?? the message didn't touch me as much as the message of p3 or p4, the atmosphere was different. there's nothing wrong with that, but I think it was p3 of the series that left the biggest impression on me. I still feel like I'm catching my breath when I talk about that game
