BULLYING AMONGST J-SOUL TRAINEES?

A Twitter thread has recently gone viral for revealing the dark side of J-SOUL Music, as the company supposedly harbors a harsh bullying culture amongst its trainees.

Twitter user @4meXoxo spoke all in their 23-tweet long thread, which has been paraphrased for the purposes of this article.

“Too long I have held my silence, but when hearing the news from my friend who’s still under J-SOUL, I’ve decided to speak my piece.

I was a trainee under J-SOUL Music for 3 years. I entered the company through an open audition, and I see now that that was the biggest mistake I could have ever made in my life.

I joined the company when I was 16 years old. I was very young and impressionable and had no background in singing or dancing like the other trainees. Most of them had taken singing lessons or dance classes before, so they were already skilled in comparison to me.

Because of that, I was bullied relentlessly. Verbal attacks, physical harassment. Every day there was like I living hell, and I only endured it because I worked so hard for my dream to debut.

I left the company and am now in university. Usually, I would keep quiet about this as I would rather bury my past and never have to think about it again. But it has come to my attention that the worst bully of all will soon be debuting in J-SOUL’s newest girl group.

Her name is Hyera. She was one of the more senior trainees there, but always got passed up for debut because she wasn’t talented enough. I guess that made her bitter, and so she took her anger out on newer trainees like me.

Even after 3 years, she tormented me, and I got it easy compared to others. One of my close friends, Yifei, is from China, and because she didn’t speak Korean that well yet, Hyera ridiculed her to no end.

Yifei is supposed to debut in the same group as Hyera, and though I am happy for her, I cannot stand by this injustice supported by J-SOUL.

None of the official debut plans have been released to the public, but if they are, I ask that everyone stand by my side and support J-SOUL’s newest girl group.

A bully like Hyera does not deserve to fulfill the dream I had to give up on because of her.”

J-SOUL Music has yet to respond to these allegations.

[BREAKING] DUKE’S JOKER AND DUCHESS’ HEERA REVEALED TO BE DATING

Recently, pre-debut pictures of DUKE’s Joker and DUCHESS’ Heera, both under PRISM Entertainment, were posted on an online forum. The anonymous user posted a series of images along with the caption, “Joonho and Heera, back during trainee days. Not sure if they’re still together, but they were a pretty strong couple when I was still in Prism.”

In response, PRISM Entertainment released this announcement:

“Hello, this is PRISM Entertainment.

It has come to our attention that a person claiming to be affiliated with our artists has posted online pictures of their personal lives. While we’re still waiting for a response from both Joker and Heera themselves, we’re actively looking into the post to determine its validity. 

If we find upon this investigation that this post was made with malicious intent, then we will not hesitate to press legal charges against the original poster.”

Many fans speculate that since the majority of the pictures were taken while they were still trainees that the two are no longer dating, but many other fans assume the rumor to be the truth and are already congratulating the happy couple.

WATCH: DUKE AND DUCHESS’ PRE-DEBUT PERFORMANCES AT THE 2019 MNET ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS

The 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards showcased many top performers, who brought their all to put on an amazing show! 

The December 4 ceremony was held at the Nagoya Dome in Japan, and the performer lineup included artists like BULLETPROOF, Park Jin Young, QUEEN, Dua Lipa, and more. Viewers were especially excited for the yet-to-debut groups of DUKE and DUCHESS, who were two of the last to be announced as part of the awards ceremony’s many stages. 

Since the conclusion of THE NOBILITY: A PRISM SURVIVAL SHOW, fans have been patiently awaiting to see their favorite trainees on stage again after their respective victories were aired last month. The two groups performed the original songs that were specially produced for the survival show, both of which charted very well upon release. Their appearances were positively received, with both DUKE and DUCHESS trending on Naver afterward as many netizens were curious as to who the future idols-to-be are.

Just when fans thought the night couldn’t get any better, PRISM Entertainment posted on Instagram the cover to DUKE’s upcoming first full album, generating even more hype for their newest group’s impending debut.

POTENTIAL NEW PRISM/GALAXY BOY GROUP MEMBERS SPOTTED AT KING’S CONCERT?

A lot of rumors have been spreading around over who the MIN2US members will soon be re-debuting with, and with Prism Entertainment and its subsidiaries’ notorious secrecy over their trainees, fans can’t help but speculate.

A Knight (fan of KING) recently posted on their SNS account the above picture from a recent KING concert in Seoul, claiming that the boys photographed were actually Prism Entertainment trainees. The user noted that “they were seated altogether, all dressed in a weirdly suspicious way. I think they wanted to not draw attention to themselves, but because of how they were grouped together, you couldn’t help but notice them.”

Prism Entertainment still has yet to release any more information regarding their new boy group, slated to debut by the end of this year.

[BREAKING] MIN2US TO DEBUT IN NEW PRISM/GALAXY BOY GROUP

Talks of preparation for the new joint group co-managed by both Prism Entertainment and Galaxy Records have been on the quiet side these past couple of weeks (especially after that whole ‘trainee’ fiasco), but news has finally reached NETIBUZZ! on some important information regarding the boy group.

Although it’s barely been a month since MIN2US—Prism’s new duo consisting of ex-Player members Minho and Venus—has debuted, officials have shared with us that the two celebrities have been confirmed in joining the company’s next big project.

“It was in talks for a while,” sources stated. “We initially didn’t want to include the two because the fans loved them so much as MIN2US, but [they] missed being in a group so much that we wanted to take [their] thoughts into consideration. It was a lot of back and forth for a long time, but we finally decided that it’d be a good decision to have two seniors in the industry leading the other members in the team once they debut.

“There are plans to promote MIN2US in the future, but our main priority now is establishing the new boy group. Regardless, we hope both teams will receive all your love and support.”

Along with Minho and Venus, two trainees from Prism Entertainment and one trainee from Galaxy Records finalize the line-up.

PRISM ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES DEBUT PLANS AFTER THE FINALE OF ‘THE NOBILITY’

It’s only been a couple of weeks since our favorite show THE NOBILITY: A PRISM SURVIVAL SHOW aired its finale episode, which achieved the highest ratings yet for the television show. Ten trainees—five male, and five female—were crowned the winners of the show, and would respectively debut in DUKE and DUCHESS by the end of the year.

DUKE and DUCHESS were announced to be the official junior groups to seniors KING and QUEEN under the same company, joining the ranks with PRINCESS in rounding out Prism Entertainment’s umbrella of artists known collectively as the MONARCHY.

During the final eighth episode of the show, MC Cho Seungwoo revealed that DUKE and DUCHESS would be debuting around the same time with the shared goal of actively collaborating with each other, unlike KING and QUEEN who only interact with one another in name. Fans can expect many collaborative stages and even sub-units between the two groups, but for now, each will focus on their respective activities to establish their names individually first before working closely with other.

When asked what the exact debut plans for the two groups are at the press conference held after the show, CEO Im Gyeongsu responded, “[We] are still finalizing everything. Fans have showed so much love in the past two months of the show’s airing, so we don’t want to rush anything. As quickly as the members want to meet their fans, we all have agreed that we want their debuts to be as perfect as possible to live up to expectations.”

Nothing has been confirmed over which group will debut first, yet many speculate that both groups will have special appearances at this year’s Mnet Asian Music Awards as Mnet was the broadcasting channel that THE NOBILITY aired on.

PRISM ENTERTAINMENT TO DEBUT A NEW GIRL GROUP?

It’s been months since Prism Entertainment announced that the male duo MIN2US would be debuting in a new boy group with three other members by the end of the year. Yet, fans have grown impatient over the lack of updates on Prism Entertainment’s part, and fuel has only added more to the flame over insider reports that the entertainment company might be debuting a new girl group instead.

Sources tell us that, “[a new girl group] has been in the works for a while now. It’s been nearly ten years since QUEEN debuted, so a junior girl group debuting is only natural at this point.”

Despite these claims, no information has been revealed about any female trainees under the agency that could potentially be debuting within the coming months.
