word of the day - 충전하다
this word means ‘to (re)charge’. like the english word, it can be used in terms of electronics (휴대폰을 충전하다 - to charge one’s phone) and in terms of virtual credit, for example every few weeks i have to go ‘top up’ my bus pass with money, and i can say 교통카드를 충전해주세요.

Stop comparing yourself to other people, all it does is hurt you. There’s no correct way to exist in this world, so just be who you are because it’s enough. You are absolutely perfect the way you are.

Expressing Attributes and Characteristics: ~답다 (Grammar)
This expression is attached to nouns and used to indicated that something has the qualities or characteristics of the noun. Specifically, this expression refers to having the qualities that are typically expected in the particular noun.
1. 가: 오늘 저 선수가 왜 저렇게 경기를 못하죠? Why isn’t that player competing well today?
나: 그러게요. 오늘 경기 모습은 세계적인 축구 선수답지가 않네요. I know. His play today is unlike that of a world-class soccer player.

4. 그 회사에는 국내 최고의 회사답게 우수한 지원들이 많이 있습니다. That company has a lot of outstanding employees, which is typical of a top domestic corporation.

Expressing Degree: ~만 하다 (Grammar)
Note: this grammar point is very different from 만 해도, be careful not to confuse the two.
This expression is used with nouns denoting a size, number, or amount. It indicated that the noun under dicussion is approximately the same in size, amount or degree as the other noun.
아무리 편한 곳도 집만 한 곳은 없어요. 작기는 해도 우리 집이 제일 편해요. No matter how comfortable a place may be, no place is worth home. It may be small, but our house is the coziest.
고향에 있는 집도 지금 살고 있는 집 크기만 해요. My house back home is just as big as the one I’m living in now.
열다섯 살인 동생의 키가 벌써 스무 살인 형만 하네요! My 15-year-old little brother is already as tall as my 20-year-old big brother!
