I would like to give out my theory of Sakura's backstory. Now, I'm usually patient and just wait for new updates of the manga but I've encountered a bunch of other people voicing out their theories on Sakura's past that I would also like to do the same.

Obviously, my yapping will contain spoilers.

First and foremost, I would like to say—proudly—that Sakura is adopted, because in the first episode of season 1, the adults here—could be his adoptive parents—said "I shouldn't have taken you."

Now, there's also a possibility these adults could be his teachers, indicating the teachers didn't want to take a delinquent (Sakura) in as a student of their school.

But if put that aside, Sakura might have been adopted by a rich family just for show, to show the parents are "good" people to gain fame.

I find this possible because in a k-drama titled 'Weak Hero', one of the characters, Beom-Seok, was adopted by a rich family to show that the famed father was a good person when in reality, he abused the adopted child.

In relation, Sakura was probably adopted only for the entertainment of fans by one of his or both adoptive parents, not to genuinely love or give affection, whilst neglecting and abandoning him. Not to mention, separating his room from the main house because of their disgust towards Sakura's appearance, which is most likely very different from the adoptive parents considering they're not related by blood.

Also, Sakura did mention he couldn't make the same face as Akari (Kiryu's sister).

My thought is that he couldn't do it because he was adopted so he feels like he was in no position to oppose the people who took him in no matter how cruel the decision was made. It might've crossed his mind if he opposed or fought back his parents, he might lose the chance of living in a decent home.

This might be debunked once the official backstory comes out, and I can't wait. Please don't take this too seriously, I do like to make up theories to see if I could be right or wrong so this was just for funsies.

'Uh huh, yeah, very,' he thought as he looked around your room full of posters of the same kind and a bookshelf full of manga with more trinkets. He doesn't want to sound rude so he decided staying quiet was best. 'Looks just like Kiryu's place.'

After all, who is he to have a say on what your room looked like.

He'll ask you the name of some characters that he somehow has seen before, "Who's this?" He points to a Genshin character as he looks over his shoulder.

"That's Xiao. Did he catch your eye as well?" You grin.

DO NOT let him watch ANY anime or show where the main character is weak. It gets to his nerves and you have to hear him complaining instead.

When you're ready to login to a game, he'll ask you, "Are you going to play that game from last time?"

He wants to watch you play the game that you started with him. He wants to know the plot too.

Loves to watch you play Final Fantasy.

Cheers you on beside you during battle and gets frustrated with you when you lose. Breathes a sigh of relief with you when you clear the boss level with a red HP bar.

SUO HAYATO

Does not care if you ramble all day about the things you like.

He loves actually. It's because you have that charm when you talk about them. You're always so passionate and expressive when you talk about the new anime/manga you caught up, or a game you just bought.

He's also another one who happens to be the "Don't look at me with those eyes!" "What eyes?" scenario.

He watches you admiringly as you talk a mile a minute. It's because he knows you don't get to talk about your interests at school that much so he'll lend you his ears.

You showed him a game one time that lets you customize your character. "Look! I made you! You're in the game now," you say as you move the character in a circle and zoom in to his face to give the real Suo a closer look.

He holds back the cuteness aggression he's having.

He was beaming when you proudly showed him your creation. "Wow! You even got the same earrings."

Immediately sits next to you and kisses your temple and then watches you play.

He's still holding back the cuteness aggression when you made the character jump around from how happy you are. He feels so included it touched him.

Definitely watched Link Click and Ne Zha with you. He likes it but laughs even more to see you getting giddy every time the two main characters of Link Click come up on screen.

To be honest, he feels a little jealous to see how in love you are with those two fictional characters or any male characters you fangirl about.

Because you already have him, why let out a pterodactyl scream into the pillow every time the character gets only two seconds of screen time?

But being the mature gentleman he is, he won't be petty. After all, they're not real. And they can't hold you or kiss you like he can. Some of the characters can't even protect you like he can.

He simply stood tall, hands behind his back, and you have to make the effort to stand on your tippy toes to reach up his hair.

SUO HAYATO

Your second month in school has been chaotic—non-stop exams, ongoing curriculum in the middle of the week, assignments and homework to be handed in by the end of the week, not to mention extra study for the exams.

You have no idea how you're going to live through the entire month.

You partially blame the teachers for giving out late instructions for the assignments and still giving homework to finish when you need the time to study instead and the teachers will say "Doing your homework is also part of studying," you thought in a mocking teacher's voice.

But also, partially you were to blame for not doing the assignments as soon as you received them. But of course, at times like this, you don't want to blame yourself.

You look at your boyfriend, calmly sipping and enjoying his tea across the table.

"What's wrong, my dear? Gosh, you have veins threatening to pop out of your head. It looks way worse than when I tease you," he says in a tiny lilt of joking if you squint. He is concerned though. He just had to add in some playfulness whenever he gets the chance to.

At times like this, you envy how he doesn't have to do anything you have to do right now. When it's not times like these, you're worried about his education a bit.

He got up from his seat and stands next to you. He pulls your head to his stomach and strokes your head and rubs your head, temple, face, anywhere that you keep scrunching up to ease your muscles again. He pampers you while he listens to you whine about having so much to do.

After you've calmed down, he advises you to list down what you need to do for this week, and in a separate paper, the things you need to do for next week so you can breakdown what you need to prioritize first.

And you did while he sits down next to you and watch you write them all down in sticky notes. He smiles at this because you're so easy to listen to and obey him. After you're done, you actually feel a little lighter because you can see them clearly that there's not so much to do in one week. It's almost two to three tasks you need to do for each week.

He even offered to help you with simpler tasks such as picking a template for your slides and assignments, so you can focus on the heavy ones—gathering information and putting them together.

He may not like arts but he still borrows your tablet to find templates that you might like, ranging from following the theme to picking ones he thinks girls might like and to the ones he knows it's your aesthetics.

After you choose the templates, he stays by your side while holding you for emotional support but making sure you don't get distracted. You really don't know how he can project his calmness to you but he did.

He's not good at it but somehow, he's still able to project the calmness despite his 'aggressive' behavior.

He might not be good at picking out templates because he never really cared about designs or fashion, but he's there for you and he makes sure you know it.

He wants to try and help with your work but he's scared he'll mess it up and add in more burden for you so he stays quiet instead and stays near you.

When he sees you a little stressed, expect to hear a knock on his door and the next thing you know he's handing you a nice and delicious drink—be it caffeinated or not. He ordered it just like how Nirei taught him.

When he sees you stretch in your seat, expect him to suddenly become a blushing mess because he had a thought of wanting to massage you. But he'll ask you instead if you're tired. Clearly, he knows that you are.

And when you say yes, he'll offer to rub your shoulders while hiding his red face away from you.

After a while and he starts to become comfortable with giving you the best shoulder massage and you say that you're fine now, his touch will still linger on you a little too long.

And you don't expect that he'll wrap his arms around your waist with his forehead rests on your back. You have no idea if he was blushing or not, if he was calm or not, but you do know you feel happy that he's there trying so hard to wait patiently for you.

His breathing behind your back is like a cat purring when they're stroked or petted.

Soon, you hear light snores and more warmth on your back—the side of his face is resting on you that he doesn't realize it.

A smile tugged on your lips to know that he seems to trust you enough to do this with you. And that feeling alone made you feel proud and calm that all your worries about schoolwork and such were washed away.

You got his fever right after he recovered (because I always do when someone else in the house gets sick).

And typical Sakura blames himself for it when it's only normal things like that happen.

He troubled you with taking care of him, when he doesn't need it but he won't admit to you it mattered to him so much, and now you got the sickness?

That day when he came back home from school and saw you in such a weak state, borrowing his bed and blanket to bundle yourself up, he's already cursing himself.

He hesitantly checks your forehead with the back of his hand and becomes even more guilty to feel it so hot.

He tries to remember his hazy memory, because he was half asleep at that time, of how you took care of him. You put a cool fever on him, you closed the curtains for him, you prepared him medications, food and an energy drink for him.

He starts off by searching where you put the remaining cool fever from yesterday. Once he found it in one of his empty kitchen cabinets along with the strip of pills, he took those and brought them back to the room.

He sat cross-legged next to you and opened up the box, gently not making much noise. He figures out how you made it stick to his forehead, carefully making sure none of your hair gets stuck to it.

You wince from the sudden coolness and peaked through your eyelids. As soon as you stir awake, you can feel and hear the thumping of feet going further away from you. You see Sakura pretending to busy himself with all the stuff his classmates gave him yesterday that he hasn't finished putting them back in his kitchen.

You chuckle at this and go back to sleep so he can do what he was going to do without being so embarrassed. He didn't hear it and he didn't know that you were pretending to go back to sleep until finally you actually fell back to sleep.

So, you knew he spent the next hour sitting next to you, waiting if you needed anything, sometimes texting back his friends, sometimes mindlessly watching you. And that's pretty much what you can remember.

You didn't catch him became very much aware when the sudden thought of brushing your hair away like you did slips in his mind.

He became so aware that his face turned bright red all the way down to his neck that he had to get up and leave his house to buy you food because he just remembered that.

He was quick with it because his front door doesn't have a lock. He doesn't want bad guys to break into his house especially when you're present in there but in a vulnerable state.

When he comes back, you're on your phone weakly scrolling through.

"Did you just get home from school?" You ask, pretending you didn't remember who put you the cool patch on your head.

"Uhh . . . no. I went out to get you food. I assume you haven't eaten?" He really mumbles a lot when he's telling a nice thing he did for you.

You shake your head no.

He brings the food to you and you sit up.

"Sorry I didn't ask if I could sleep in your bed."

" . . . Sorry I got you the fever." His head is down and he looks like a child who did something wrong.

ATTRACTION: It was your hair. You seem to have dyed your hair into duotones but did you not get alienated by society? It made him wonder if you had similar troubles as him in the past. Or did you not care at all of what others think or say? He wanted to know more about you.

EXPLORATION: You were the one who came up to talk to him. He was eyeing you so intensely that you could feel it. When you look up and make eye contact with him, your face turns into shock. "Great, she must've think I'm a creep," he thought. But it was the opposite, you were shocked by his eyes. It made you want to talk to him, so you do. Soon, he was able to ask you his question he held on and realized you never dyed it. It was naturally white like his but yours looked perfectly placed. "I wished I had heterochromia because it looks cooler," you say in one of your conversations. "Instead, I'm stuck with this white patch of hair." Hearing that made him feel down but not for long because you immediately add, "But somehow, yours are perfectly symmetrical. It's cool!" You giggled at the end. He can sense your words are genuine.

DEEPENING: It took him awhile to be physical with you. He finds it endearing, and lovable that you are never bothered by it. You are never impatient and always lets him take his time that it bothers him instead! How are you always so calm about it and never seem to complain? It scares him that one day you might get bored and leave him. Sure there's plenty of fish in the sea, but to find one like you, will never be easy. Someone who doesn't judge him, someone who doesn't get disappointed at what he does, someone that loves him like your life depended on it. Someone who doesn't judge, right. You won't judge him nor be disappointed if he wants to hold your hand too. His hand kept fidgeting until he finally reached yours. That same surprised face the first time you met him showed on you. It wasn't judgemental, disappointment or disgust. It was admiration, envy and love.

COMMITMENT: From all the nice and sweet words, praises and encouragement throughout your years of being together, he had grown more comfortable with you. He has become more vocal when it comes to you. He's able to voice out his worries and wants a little bit more easier than the first few months of dating. You were happy and proud. But when his actions are more flirtatious than usual, the distance between you two is smaller, and his eye is serious, you realize he wasn't joking this time. It was a roller-coaster ride for this phase. Sometimes, the things he likes are the things you don't—and he loves to tease you about it—but you two learned how to compromise with each other and the process deepened your relationship with him.

DEEPENING: He didn't hesitate to hold your hand for the first time. You were on a date, walking with him. He just felt like holding your hand that time so he asked for permission first.
