In the first episode Vander tells Vi that if she wants to protect people she can’t be selfish.

And throughout the rest of the series she is constantly putting her feelings aside to appease everyone else. Even when it goes against her own morals and beliefs.

She didn’t want to kill Jinx.

She doesn’t want to become an enforcer.

She can’t be selfish about her own wants. She’s even scared of it to a degree I think, given the few times she’s acted in her interest and things have turned out badly.

So when Caitlyn informs her that she’s giving up on hunting Jinx and that she loves her for who she is flaws and all…

Vi is FINALLY allowed to be selfish.

And in that moment there’s nothing else in the world that she wants more than to be with Caitlyn.
