I always wanted to make a video edit for Crowley and Aziraphale, but it never felt quite as right, as this music with Alan Watts’ words. So here it is. As heartbreaking as it can be.

One of our fave things is this fandom and ship is to say Liam is the sunshine to Theo being moonlight, and while I'm not one for overly saccharine comparisons like that, it's too accurate to not use.

Theo is the moon because of how he changes, waxing and waning, trying to find a place, but really only being able to to be seen when he's given light to reflect. there's a side that everyone knows is there but no one can get a look at without being invited in. people are scared of him because he's different, something is off about him because he's too quiet and too loud, too hard to find and too bright all at once. he's what people can't understand but are drawn to because ultimately he's a safehaven. what could they tell him that's worse than what he's lived? he is soft and careful, cradling the secrets he's given, or a fierce protector, twisting the shadows of leafless trees into monster hands chasing innocents through the forest.

Liam is the sun, but not just because of what he gives to others or how he is the one you can always count on to be there, loyal and dependable to a damn fault. no, not for the gentleness he can show, but for the dangers he could pose. people can't look straight at who he is deep down without turning away bc it messes with how they perceive him. sunlight is supposed to be so good and gentle, but he's so angry and scared, no wonder his temper flares and lashes out at the nearest thing, unleashing the power of a raging gas ball. he brings out the best in people around him, always giving, always trying to prove that he's the softest thing around since baby bunnies, but he can't help but hurt people when they try to pay too much attention to him.

together they are balanced. one let the other step out of the shadows, truly shining for the first time while in turn the moon gives the sun a break, offering a place to rest and let go of his stranglehold on the core of himself. they push each other in a take and give, encouraging the other to grow and settle into themselves.

still not over how they use lighting and/or framing to make Kaz look monstrous. look at this!

he looks barely human! where is that light even coming from!

behold a goblin man! do you see that sharp contrast between light and shadow? that’s because they intentionally didn’t use a fill light to soften the shadows! all the other characters get fill lights!

a literal fucking demon. his eye is glowing!

fucking Dracula-style underlighting to signal evil! why is there light coming from below? this is not a diegetic (i.e. internal to the story world) light! it is a light placed specifically to make him look like this!

the warm yellow light on the left, the cool blue light on the right, the red shadow in the middle! the bloody makeup! (also the acting, but that’s a separate story)

and like, freddy carter is a fairly good looking dude! he can look regular and soft with standard lighting! even when he’s being all intense stare-y and bruised!

i just really love how much visual storytelling there is in the crows story line. so  much of it is not conveyed through explicit dialogue or plot but through the art of cinema! ahhh!

i need to see more love for liam dunbar

he’s such a good character and kind person. he’s got issues for miles but he does his best to control himself and that’s just so fucking admirable. i saw someone say that liam is a replacement for jackson and i cannot disagree with anything more. liam is so much more than a replacement for jackson. i feel like a big part of his character is showing how the bite changes people bc it’s a complex situation. and yes we’ve seen it before with jackson and lydia but liam’s is so interesting bc after we learn he has ied and he struggled a lot with aggression and impulsivity but he doesn’t turn into a kanima which should immediately tell anyone he isn’t the same as jackson. their personalities cannot be less similar.

liam might’ve been cocky at the beginning but he was literally 15 years old running circles around the upperclassmen lacrosse players. honestly he had a right to have an ego like that and again he’s 15!! that isn’t anything like jackson who’s an asshole just to be an asshole. while i would love to see jackson’s development, i feel like his story ended where it needed to. liam is so much more likable and interesting as a character. two seasons of jackson couldn’t make me like him unlike liam’s first episode. he was cocksure on the field but the second we see him in the hospital with his stepdad? it broke my heart and i immediately fell in love with him. i feel like he added so much to the show just by being him in just a few episodes than jackson did in 20+. liam is such a complex and complicated character with so many nuances i just don’t understand why people don’t like him. it’s honestly such bad taste to not like/refuse to watch teen wolf after s3 bc there are new characters like liam and mason.

and another thing: liam’s addition is also about scott leaning into becoming an alpha. he’s a true alpha at this point but that’s bc he hasn’t killed anyone. people like scott and listen to him while he peacemakes and he has a diverse pack but he doesn’t have wolves. he did good with issac but he left and scott needs a beta. as an alpha he needs people to take care of and everyone in the pack before s4 don’t need scott the way liam does. s4 forced scott to mature and with the addition of his first bitten beta scott finally made desicions and acted like an alpha. here is where he stepped more into a leadership role. not only that but liam is a mirror to scott. only this time is different bc liam has an alpha who cares and doesn’t use him for power, who won’t let liam navigate his new life on his own. liam and scott struggle differently throughout the series but they are the same at heart.

i just love liam so much he deserves the world<3

Just thinking about that little hint of fang that had already dropped before he consciously committed to following Liam.  His instincts knew.  Just took his head a minute to catch up.

Okay, here I go. I’m writing a story from Liam’s POV. It’s going to be so much fun, but I’m anxious because the only POV I was writing was Theo’s. 😬

isn’t it just insane that liam has spent so much of his life being knocked down because of his IED, had people constantly losing patience with him, had people make comments mocking him and then theo just turns up and he just doesn’t. like, yeah, he makes a comment about the “beta with anger issues” but he doesn’t treat liam like he’s a ticking time bomb, he doesn’t talk to liam like he’s nothing more than his disorder. he’s so patient with him, he’s understanding when a lot of the time theo doesn’t even understand himself. he treats liam like a fucking person, if liam reacts badly then liam reacts badly - it doesn’t change who theo sees in front of him. imagine everything that goes through liam’s mind when he expects theo to mock him, to talk down to him, to treat like him he’s been so used to being treated and instead theo just praises his progress and finds ways to tell liam how good he’s doing, i’m so sick. i can’t express how i’m losing my mind for how much theo loves liam

Like among all ships that I have in my heart thiam is the only one. Okay, no, the FIRST one, that got me loving BOTH characters to the bones. In many ships I tended to care only about one character and they relationship, but another one was less significant. But here? I admire both Liam and Theo, they are interesting for me outside of their relationship equally. And it’s a rarity - to have characters on both sides of the relationship equally well-loved.

mason pointing out to liam that “there was a time where we all trusted theo. including you” vs. scott saying “i don’t trust him. do you?” to liam as they’re arguing about sending theo back vs. liam telling theo “we need to trust you” at the sheriff’s station while the riders are taking over vs. liam snapping “scott’s never gonna trust you!” right after theo follows him to the school to keep him from killing gabe vs. mason promising theo he’ll never forget how he hurt them because “a pack is about trust.”

imo all of that really shows the progression of liam and theo’s relationship throughout season 6, because it goes from mason talking about how they trusted theo as a group, to scott asking if liam is on the same page as him about not trusting him, and then it’s liam stating that he needs to trust theo— and theo pushing back because “trust is not important right now.” but that’s not true, because the next time trust is brought up surrounding theo, it’s liam claiming that scott won’t ever trust theo again. not that liam won’t ever trust him, because at that point, i think they both know that’s a lie too. theo has saved liam’s life multiple times and they’ve been working as a team even after the ghost riders left town. that takes trust. the only other person theo gets paired up with is mason, who is very, very clear about not forgiving him no matter who else does, which has the implication that someone else already has. mason is liam’s best friend. he knows him better than anyone and has seen him around theo. he’s talked to him about trusting theo, and has probably heard how theo’s been trying to protect him. liam is the only person that theo has really rekindled a relationship with since coming back, and mason— the closest person in the world to liam— can see that liam’s guard is being let down.
