I'm pretty sure a tornado just went over our house. Two of our neighbors had some trees fall, but luckily no one got hurt
Edit: It was 100% a tornado, and it pretty much formed right over the top of us.

It has been a long time since I've posted here and a lot has happened.
One thing is that after 22 years of living in Washington State, I moved back to Texas. I'm not really happy about it, but at least our new house has a great view from the back yard. Especially during sunsets.

Also, we got a huge Texas welcome. We've only been here for about a month now, and we have already had our car rear-ended.

The wheel that's next to our car is from the truck that hit us. (You can't see the actual truck in the pic because it ended up farther down the road and is behind the fire truck.) The lady driving said that she didn't see our blinker.
So, yeah. Stuff happened. Not sure how often I'm gonna post again, but I'm back.

The doll I got today is so unique looking in my opinion. She has several issues, including her face being broken multiple times and glued back together, but I had to have her. The lady selling her had her marked as $49, which was a bit out of my budget for the day, but as soon as she saw me pick her up she said I could take her home for $20. I couldn't resist.
According to the tag, her sculpt name is Mabel, she was made in Germany, she is 100+ years old, and she is by the doll maker J.D. Kestner.
I love her chubby cheeks and little teeth.

Her body is leather and stuffed with cork.

The lables on her chest say "Celebrate Germany" and "Cork Stuffed".

A couple of the issues with her is that her arms are literally hanging by a thread and one of her knees has a hole that is leaking cork.

I just love everything about her. Flaws and all.

I feel like I'm the only person that can go to a gem fair and walk out with an antique doll. haha (I'll post a picture of it later)
I only got one rock this time, but it is something I've been wanting for a while.
Yooperlite (or more like syenite with fluorescent sodalite since yooperlite is actually a trademarked name) isn't anything fancy to look at in regular light. Mine is carved like a dragon head, though, so it's still neat looking.

The best part about it is that it looks like pure magic if you shine a uv light on it.

It's beautiful.

A weird bit of information about me is that I laugh at commercials for shingles vaccines. Yes I know that it's a weird thing to laugh at, but I have a reason. It is specifically that parts that say it is recommended for people over 50 to get vaccinated that I laugh at.
Why? Because that recommendation is a little too late for some one that got shingles when they were only 5.
Also the parts that say it affects 1 in 3 people. I look over at the other 2 people in the room and think yep, that's about right. 1 of the 3 people in this room has had it. haha
Luckily, I was young enough that I don't remember much about it, but I do remember the pain. It hurt. A lot. I also still have a scar on the side of my face from it.
So yeah. I laugh at shingles commercials.

Fun fact. Little Dude is pretty much the perfect size for 1:12 scale dollhouse furniture.
Also, for his style, I'm thinking of going for Victorian goth or steampunk.

More Little Dude stuff because why not.
Compared to my two other tiny dolls, he is taller but way thinner. Their articulation doesn't even compare. He stands very well and is way more sturdy than he looks. (He borrowed a pair of shorts from Charlie for a bit of modesty.)

Close-up pictures of this extra hands and feet are really hard to take. The details aren't easy to get. (I'm not even gonna try to get a pic of the other extra part. It's literally only like 5 millimeters long and probably wouldn't even show up that well. haha Plus, this site kinda frowns on stuff like that.)

He can even stand when one of his feet is switched out for one of the others.

Smol enough to sit in the palm on my tiny hands.
Also, he is the best poser I have by far.
Also also, there are so many small details. He is sculpted very well.

He has a gorgeous profile, too.
