The most exciting part after school is to eat ice cream. As we enjoy the sweet taste of it, the ice cream will be melting at the same time. But just like Sun Wokong lost the race between him and the buddha from the asian story , we tried it so hard but still end up with melted ice cream all over our hands. Such a simple and pure happiness is always forgotten when we grow up, and life becomes nothing but work. Yet John Connonlly said, “For a man's lifetime was but a moment in that place, and every man dreams his own heaven…as all that was lost was found again.” Therefore, in contrast with the childhood innocence, I choose a depressed middle-aged man as the main character.

小時候放學最期待的點心時間，冰淇淋是其中最特別的，因為在享受它香甜滋味的同時卻被時間追著跑。時間像極了如來佛的手，不管跑到天涯還是海角，都逃不出他的手心；每次還來不及吃完就融化的滿手黏呼呼。

長大後繁忙的課業、工作總是讓人忘了當初這份單純美好的快樂，不過就像約翰‧康納利說的:「人人皆能依夢想打造自己的天堂，因為所有失落的全已再次尋回。」因此我以落魄的中年人為故事主角，以表現曾經兒時的純真與長大後��現實反差。
