Tbhx's biggest mystery:O

A theory I have had is that the unknown and unlabeled individual dressed in all black is O.

Someone who seems to be the female opposite of X with the analysis board describing their all of their stats to be super and for them to have almost no information on the individual just like X.

However, if this is true it does make me wonder on what type of relationship X and O have and if O is even a hero or if she is directly related to fear while X is directly related to trust. Both want to maybe destory the system?

so so scary to read superboy as a WOC and know that people are gonna read this w zero critical awareness..... "omg all these evil irredeemable adult women are preying on kon" like ok on a watsonian level yes i agree that's what's happening. but on a doylist level are you also aware that these women are characters w no agency of their own. they were written this way. by karl kesel, a white man. are you taking into account the influences of kesel's misogynistic and often ignorant worldview or are you solely interpreting the narrative as though tana and knockout are real people unmoved by the paternalistic hand of god. are you also exercising extra caution wrt to your assessment of tana as the only major female character of colour in a run written by a white man. are you.

probably a controversial opinion but my fave part of ep 7 (and the e-soul arc in general) is how yan shu systematically groomed yang cheng into being his asset. like, yang cheng was the perfect blank canvas for him to mold however he wanted, and he definitely took advantage of that.

yang cheng had zero trust value, meaning he was beholden to exactly no one else. trust value is everything in this society so he's as good as legally nonexistent. his first point was explicitly tied to him doing e-soul-style actual heroics.

yang cheng is generally kind, hard-working, and reliable, and very charismatic but only under the mask, so he'd be a believable replacement for the real thing. he also has crippling self-worth issues, which means he's easy to take advantage of if you treat him nicely and he likes you.

yang cheng also trusts yan shu.

yan shu has goons, connections, and a working knowledge of yang cheng's social circle so it's easy for him to set things up to get results. like hey, here's a kid who hero worships yang cheng, they're pretty close, let's arrange a kidnapping so he can go viral doing heroics. yang cheng has a new friend with hero agency connections and a ton of money to dump on him? nice, his boy can get a taste of pro hero life and the kind of material support that entails, and he doesn't have to show his hand too early. hey kid, make this guy your manager, it'll be good for you.

getting rid of shang chao when he did was also a fantastic move on his part because it served three things: 1) getting rid of the competition over who gets to be yang cheng's manager, 2) destabilizing a rival agency because their head is now in mourning, and 3) making yang cheng mad with grief and regret, so he's emotionally vulnerable and easy to manipulate under the guise of being supportive. bonus points for shang chao leaving behind a new suit and a bunch of training equipment they can use.

by the combined power of advertising and word of mouth he manages to get the duel to happen and force og e-soul into creating an opening, ensuring yang cheng comes out on top. it's also great that yang cheng is so consumed by grief and anger that he doesn't ask very many questions about where the ad money came from. (why was that convo so much like "don't worry about it, kitten." "okay 💔 yay 💔" lmao)

xia qing is a complicating factor, but it's nice that she wasn't helping, and left him behind in the end. if she hadn't left of her own volition, i am pretty sure yan shu would also have gotten rid of her at some point. more fuel for his tragic backstory.

so anyway at the end of it all, yan shu has a traumatized, broken-down, beloved hero in the top ten who doesn't have anything else apart from him and the e-soul identity. mission successful, he's perfect. like yeah, this is the kind of guy who would shoot moon in the head with zero hesitation. 10/10, no notes.

growing up as an imaginative single child, I loved to play with Barbies. I loved creating elaborate drama-filled storylines for them and I could keep at it for hours. there was one problem. I had like 15 thrift store Barbies and no Kens. I only had one Barbie-sized male doll and it was a collectible Elvis Presley doll and he was my favorite doll. I always did the Elvis voice when I was playing him but he had no relation to Elvis Presley otherwise. anyway, he had some crazy days. trapped on a scary planet where he is the only man in the world and half of the women there hate him. in a massive car accident and stranded in the woods with a girlfriend who had broken her foot and a crazy ex girlfriend who had stalked them there. kidnapped by Athena (one of my Barbie sized dolls was Athena, like, the goddess) and held captive by her while trying to go home to his 7 situationships. all of this happening to a guy who looks and sounds exactly like Elvis but is otherwise the quintessential everyman.

I would normally never do this and I normally avoid all political posting, but the FDA has had to stop a lot of food testing due to staff cuts currently planned at least until September 30th.

That is a (not fully comprehensive but useful) list of the high-risk foods for contamination and sickness that could result in serious harm or death. The broad strokes are cheeses, but especially soft cheeses, raw/fresh vegetables, pre-sliced fruit packages, ready to eat salads, chicken eggs, milk (bird flu), anything fermented like melons, and pet food, among others.

This is likely not a comprehensive list, so be sure to look things up yourself as well.

If you buy vegetables and plan to eat them, it is best to cook them to a safe temperature and wash their outsides well with water and light scrubbing instead of eating them raw. Treat it like chicken in that regard.

Make sure that the individual foods that you buy often are safe to eat or at risk, and adjust accordingly. This is a fundamental necessity that everyone here will need to follow. Testing is reduced or gone, and reporting on outbreaks will also likely be reduced or banned outright as well.

All you can do is stay safe, use your masks in public again, and make sure that you are clean as well as your food.
