Since we're an ASP.NET shop, I figure I'd better read up on my Programming Microsoft ASP.NET MVC by Dino Esposito and Microsoft Visual C# 2010 Step by Step by John Sharp. Both I got directly from oreilly.com electronically to use on my Kindle - it's great to bookmark and highlight sections.

Meeeeer-kats...in real life!

This past weekend I spent a day at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, where I had the opportunity to go an a 'safari' and see a cheetah do a 100 meter dash. Coolest of all, I got to see our team mascots in action- popping up and out of holes and generally being chatty and weird.

Josh and Jackie!

This past weekend Kuyam was a part of the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Small Business Fair. We were lucky enough to sit next to the "Canine Companies for Independence" booth that had a procession of wonderful, sweet dogs. Here we have Jackie hanging out with her new friend Josh!!!

Last week we had the privilege and honor of hosting Michelle Ford and the Make a Wish Foundation Los Angeles. Michelle shared her inspiring story of triumph over a rare form of bone cancer, and how Make a Wish impacted her life directly as a Wish Child.

American Diabetes Association Los Angeles Expo

Similar to our event at Susan G Komen, we spent a couple Saturdays ago lending our time and kuyam resources to the American Diabetes Association annual expo. We played some fun games with the people in attendance, raised some awareness for the cause, and even got to hand out an iPad to a lucky winner!

The Susan G Komen Race for the Cure Los Angeles Event

the week before last, kuyam had the amazing opportunity to have a booth at the annual Race for the Cure event at Dodger Stadium. we got to support our amazing friends at Susan G Komen, who are doing wonderful things for people in the fight against breast cancer. please go support them!

a couple weeks back, the entire kuyam team was lucky enough to participate in the 2012 launch start up conference in san francisco. we had such a blast talking to others in the start up community, showing off our product, and playing some awesome games! here's our favorite designer Jackie standing in front of our booth with some of the caricatures she drew behind her.
