“man,” eli spoke as he was fighting with the signage in front of the bakery, “i really wish today was a day that i was doing sailing lessons. i want to go sailing. hey, want some sailing lessons?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
mary took a drag of her cigarette and looked over at eli. “sailing?” she asked and raised an eyebrow. “well heck, like - with a boat?” she asked, pretty intrigued.

“sooooo!” avery smiles brightly, with her legs swinging under the table (she was loving life at the moment). “what do you do for fun here?” she asks, “this town is SO lovely! it’s gotta be full of some adorable shops right?! ..” avery carries on and looks over at the other.

aj wasn’t very good with people who were excited or loud. they overwhelmed her and intimidated her. she rubbed the back of her neck and shrugged. “i have two kids, i generally just... go to the park and all that. i work a lot, so... yeah.” aj mumbled.

closed starter for @deputytremblay
Tumblr media
clarance was grinning as he closed the door behind his boyfriend. they hadn’t been together very long and no one knew yet, but that was just as well. he didn’t want to rush into anything and spending time together in private without prying eyes or people’s opinions was perfect for clarance. he turned towards the other man and smiled even wider before he leaned in and kissed him softly and slowly. “hmm, i’m glad you’re here.” he told him and grabbed his hand to lead him into the living room. “what do you want to drink? and do?” he asked, excited and quite glad for the distraction jack brought. sitting around in an empty house he wished was filled with the sound of his children wasn’t something he wanted to do today.

hello everyone! i am pax, 21 (almost 22), gmt +2 and i bring you three muses - for now. aj holiday, mary chace and clarance nolan will be (briefly) introduced under the cut and you’ll find some wanted connections as well. LIKE this post to plot!

A.J. HOLIDAY - THE SOFT BUTCH
Tumblr media
annabeth jean holiday &. a.j. &. thirty &. pisces &. cisfemale &. she/her &. homosexual &. homoromantic &. married &. mother of two &. vocational training &. contractor &. kind &. hard-working &. shy &. emotional
aj is the second oldest child of the holiday family. she was never good at school and was always a bit insecure about that. what she was good at, was fixing things. she was just handy and so, she decided to stop trying to chance unattainable academic dreams and got herself carpentry and electrician training. then, she loaned some money from her parents - read: a big amount - and bought herself a house, which she flipped with one other person. she continued to do that until three years ago and is now working with a crew of three people as a contractor. it’s a lot more stable and secure, which is necessary as she is now married and adopted two children last year, twin boys named esau and abel. she looks very masculine and one may not expect it, but she is very insecure: her height, her occupation, her likability... she is painfully shy when meeting new people and it can be hard to get through to her, but when you’re in her heart - you can be sure she’ll do all she can for you.
wanted connections: wife, babysitter, neighbor, crew, best friend, drinking buddy, fellow parent, high school sweetheart, first kiss, first love, former friends with benefits, flirtationship, unrequited crush, childhood best friend, godparent, etc.
MARY CHACE - THE BLACK SHEEP
Tumblr media
mary priscilla chace &. mare, em &. twenty-nine &. scorpio &. cisfemale &. she/her &. pansexual &. panromantic &. unmarried &. no children &. high school drop out &. waitress at joe’s diner &. resilient &. protective &. combative &. reckless
the name mary chace is spoken in hushed tones around holiday. she has always been a troublemaker, ever since she was in middle school. she was picked on and humiliated on a daily basis and on top of that, she couldn’t figure herself out, who she was, which led to her assuming an attitude of “get them before they get me”. what started out as petty crime went to juvenile detention centers and that graduated into prison. she has a whole list of offenses on her criminal record and has been in and out of prison countless times. she has just gotten out after a three-year sentence for theft of property worth less than $10,000 but more than $1,000 and is now a felon. she has come out of prison tired and she finally wants to make something of her life. she is fully clean now, she managed to get a job at joe’s diner and hopes that here in holiday, as painful and as embarrassing as it is to come back after having been in prison, she can finally be a normal person... but it won’t be easy. she has a tendency to go for the bottle when she is feeling low, she isn’t good at controlling her temper and keeping a job has never been her strong suit... the question is, whether or not she’ll be able to stay somewhat on track surrounded by people who know about her past or if she’ll fall off the wagon again.
wanted connections: best friend/ride or die, former partner in crime, friends with benefits, exes, roommate, one night stand, former drinking buddy, co-worker, boss, person she has stolen from, person she has assaulted in the past, former friends with benefits, person she cheated on, person whose ex-partner she slept with while they were together, prison pen pal, godparent, etc.
CLARENCE NOLAN - THE QUIET RAGE
Tumblr media
clarance tarell nolan &. cee &. thirty-five &. leo &. cismale &. he/him &. bisexual &. biromantic &. divorced &. father of three &. university degree &. corporate lawyer &. confident &. intelligent &. inflexible &. materialistic
clarance nolan has lived here since he was fifteen (could change) when his father got a job opportunity here. he met clara dalton and fell in love - immediately. she was the most amazing girl he had ever met and it wasn’t a surprise when they went off to law school together and got married. over the years, they started a law office and had three children -  jonathan (10), benjamin (6), and georgia (4). he was happy with his wife and family, really... but there was always this nagging feeling that he had settled down too quickly, that he was missing out on something. it led him into something he thought he’d never cave to: infidelity. looking back, he knows it’s his curiosity about his sexuality that drove him, as well as a bit of boredom that he felt had crept into their marriage. what he also realizes now is that it wasn’t worth it. yes, he sated curiosities and fantasies but he lost his family. in the divorce, he feels like he also lost his children. one weekend a month and short visits in between are not why he wanted to be a parent and while he understands that clara wanted to divorce him, he doesn’t understand why she had to play it so hard and take his children away from him for such a big chunk of the time. he cheated on her and they divorced, he didn’t divorce his children. he feels like he is barely a parent, but he tries to keep his frustrations in because he doesn’t want his children to be the victim of the tension but it’s there, brewing under the surface.
wanted connections: male he cheated on his ex-wife with, friends with benefits, crush, neighbors, best friend, drinking buddies, cornerstone/shoulder to cry on, cousins, flirtationship, one night stand, fellow lawyer, work out buddy/running buddy, childhood best friend, high school crush, former high school football teammates, fellow sports fans, etc.
