Sakura MiniBang

The day's finally come and I'm so glad to be able to share my part for the Sakura MiniBang! It's my first time participating in such an event but I'm so glad everything turned out well!

ᯓ ᡣ𐭩 This is a SugiSaku story, where friendship blossoms in places least expected and a bond is tested in the aftermath of getting hurt.

Sakura’s life had turned around. The friends he’s made have brought warmth into his life, but one of his classmates has been left behind in the cold.

Sugishita has survived many things in his life, from fights to bullying, but Sakura getting injured is the biggest test of his resolve he’s faced yet.

Haruka looks up. And then more up, because for some reason Sugishita is in front of him, and the bastard is still as unfairly tall as always, even if Haruka’s started to like him more recently. Sugishita has his own clear umbrella protecting him, which annoys Haruka to no end.

The longer they walk, the more the wind picks up around them. Haruka subconsciously buries himself into Sugishita’s side. Who knew the guy radiates so much body heat?

A strong gust of wind slams into them, so much so that Haruka has to hunker down and hold onto Sugishita’s jacket lest it gets blown away.

Once it calms down, Haruka turns to check on Sugishita…… and starts howling with laughter. “Holy shit,” Haruka heaves between breaths, clutching his sides. “Your hair.”

Haruka stays where he stands, suddenly aware of how out of place he is. He’s never been to someone else’s house before, not even Nirei’s or Suo’s. He’s also never met any of their parents, either. He doesn’t exactly have a good track record with adults.

But Sugishita looks back at him and raises his arm towards him, silently gesturing to come with him.

Haruka follows.
