Yay! I've finished my first repeat! This is the 'Weave long and prosper' scarf kit from the Woolery. It is kinda complicated, but I'm having fun!
It looks mostly like the pattern which I count as a win. There is some wonky stuff happening where I've tied on which I am ignoring. I was too excited after sleighing the reed and just wanted to get started

I also believe that I made a threading error as evidenced by the bunch of threads here in the middle. And I was also a few ends short at the end. I'm guessing that I somehow threaded the same section three times. This draft was very complex and there was no obvious repeat so I probably just read it wrong.

The final issue here is that I skipped a dent in the reed which is causing a spacing issue. I'm hoping that this will be less noticable when I block

But all of this is fine! I'm learning! I'm having fun! Mistakes are part of the process! And it's still gonna be a scarf at the end!

My first time doing clasped weft technique! It's slow but so so striking! It has unsquared my overshot but I'm treating that as a feature this time.

You throw the shuttle in from one side, loop it round your second yarn and throw it back through the same shed to pull the second yarn into the cloth....

.... And then you beat very very slowly and carefully while pulling on each yarn to get the colour change exactly where you want it, and then you carry on and admire/curse your result. It's an absolute bastard to unweave.
For these colours I am making a zigzag between them, but for my next pair of colours (blue and orange) I will do something else.

Blanket/ playmat #2 is underway, this time with a lightly padded texture! Video is 2 minutes of me stuffing the latest complete row (quiet, birdsong), then 2 minutes of awkward weaving because my phone is in the way of the very long unwieldy shuttles (loud, loom noises). Each pocket is completely sealed between the two layers of fabric as they are woven, no seams, no way to open it again except for scissors.
